First of, I absolutely love this story. It gave me a lot to think about and I even started donating to womens shelters (tampons and other feminine hygene necessities) and volunteering after reading your story. So, thank you. I like how it gets me riled up for days. Like this chapter for example. I was so mad, i had to wait a day to review :)
Having said that I think this chapter is making me really anti-Edward right now. At least for a while now he has been setting her up for failiure and then teaches her a lesson in such a dramatic way that it always ends in tears for her. I don't see why he couldn't just have a proper conversation with her. Also, he KNEW she forgot to safe word and he still kept going. He saw all the signs and didn't stop. In my opinion he abused his power and her trust a little. His way of "teaching a lesson" was borderline cruel especially given her history as an abuse victim. It was irresponsible.
One of your readers mentioned that she doesn't understand why he couldn't have talked to her. Communication is the key. I had no idea what a cum slut was, don't really want to learn it in this manner either. I know she is into mild humiliation but this was in no ways mild.
I am not sure if she can just get up and go on her day like nothing happened. I will be dissapointed in her if she thanks him for this lesson. I don't care what the text said. Pack your bags, take your dog and go home for some alone time Bella. Your Dom needs to stand in the corner this time around until HE learns his lesson.

The lesson wasn't in what a cum-slut was --- Being called a cum-slut was part of the lesson --- on the ride home from OR, they talked about Bella's cuming without permission - she told him that she didn't want to hold it in (in effect she wasn't going to listen to him) she was going to do what she wanted - becasue it felt good....and His response was she was going to hav to learn and instead of saying "Yes Master, i'll try really hard to rememeber I'm your submissive and you have control" she said "And what if i don't?"
Bella put the chalenge out there - it was her big mouth and disobedience and attitute - that he was correcting. Bella said "what are you going to do about it?"

A real D/S relationship is based on trust and fully understanding the way of that lifestyle. Bella has no rights and no safe word.
I am so curious where this is going to lead. Also want to know what Irina has to tell her. I have a feeling she will help Bella come out of her shell. If Edward really loves her he will stop treating her that way.

My heart is breaking for her...She is right though. This is all his fault. Now that I think of it Bella is a bit guilty too. She should have never let him control her like that, not trusting her with other boys and stuff. She shut have told him to cut it off. Being jealous is one thing not allowing her to have friends male or female is another.

Ever since I started reading this story I want to write a little review on how much I like it but it has me sucked in and I keep telling myself that I shall write a few words after the next chapter...or the one after it...and so on.
I am almost sorry I am reading this too fast. I do not wish it to end and have to wait for updates. My heart is clenching thinking of the way Edward wants to play her and I can't help but get teary eyed for our little, misunderstood Bella. Her intentions were not to hurt him, her little play would have done nothing but left him in a good position that he was going to get with Aro one way or another.
I wonder if he will see that once his cloud of anger has subsided. I hope it will be before he breaks her and her heart.
Oh and yeah, this Jacob is a douche!

Some might think I am overly emotional or just plain weird but I must admit I cried from the beginning of the chapter until she put her silver dress on. When she looked between her parents, Emmet and Rose and pondered about what they have which resulted in her once again being reminded that she had nothing...that just made my heart break for her!! Everyone is going on with this charade, enjoying themselves somehow but she is so alone it is not even funny. I wonder if Rose knew both sides of the story would she still be mad at Bella or would she warn Edward the same way? I fear Edward's victory will be short lived once he sees the damage he caused.
I loved loved this chapter. Thank you for sharing.

Absolutely wonderful! So far I have loved the direction you were heading. One needs a little angst before the romance right? It only makes it much more epic! I wonder if Edward did not choose Bella as his editor and if Bella somehow knows this. Somehow she found out? Is that why she was so sad for that brief moment?

I wish she could have told him. I still believe that her lie is not so bad. Either way Edward's manuscript would have been read by Aro. She just may have delayed it a bit. If there was no "proposition" to make Bella would still go after it since she believes in Edward's novel...Plus, honestly I doubt he would have gotten a better editor than her.
God knows what his father did to him. I am sure it is not even comparible to Bella's little white lie.
I am annoyed with Rose. Her concerns might be valid but I don't like people who keep dropping rude hints and remarks instead of just saying what they think. No need to sour everyones mood constantly. Say what you have to say and then shut it.
What is your updating schedule? So I don't have to check 4 times every day!! ;)

Oh, I agree that Bella's lie is not THAT bad - but you know how it is. I think it's more a pride-thing to her than anything else. She's afraid of what he'll think of her - whether he'll loose respect for her as his boss and as his possible lover... Pride is a bitch (just ask me) ;)
Anyway - I'd love to give you my updating schedule, but I don't really have one! LOL! I run my own business, and some days it's busier than others. Unfortunatly, that determines when I get to write and update. But usually it takes me between 7 to 10 days. I hope that helps!

This is one of the best stories I have read on TWC so far. I admit I am dying to know what happened to Edward and get anxious when I am nearly done reading the new chapter. It is too good to end.
I like the realistic pace this story has. I wish RL would allow you to post more often but hey beggars like me can't be choosers, right? :)
These last 2 chapters gave us a lot of insight to both characters. i thought I had figured Bella out a bit but that part with Charlie took me by suprise. She is more damaged than I would have imagined. I know it sounds cliche but all she needs is love...seriously. She is waaaay overdue.
One of the best and most powerful moments in this chapter were when he is trying to thank her " My leaving wasn't me taking that for granted. I appreciate what you did...how you helped me. And that's all I did with it." Wonderfully written.
Also, the ending of the chapter with her laughing was very well timed. There is still hope for them to laugh together it seems. This is a huge development.
I am a bit apprehensive about the time when Edward realises that Bella was very inexperienced in regards to sex when she agreed with him on the deal. It is also very significant that she has not had a sexual partner in the 5 years they have not seen each other. (I am not counting that one drunken hook up) Bella needs some serious therapy. Her low selfesteem and lack of selfworth must have prevented her from seeking help. Almost as if she thought she didn't deserve anything better...
Looking forward to your next update.

I read this chapter as soon as you posted it but RL got in the way and i could not review. However since this whole story is absolutely wonderful and each chapter better than the next it didn't feel right to just not write anything at all, so here is my late review.
I like that we got a bit of an insight to Edward's life and feelings when he first became a father but now i am even more intrigued to learn what happened to turn him so against everything and everybody. Bella's inner turmoil while interacting with him after they left the restaurant is heart quenching and let us not even mention that phone conversation with her mother. I think she has so much love and affection to give but nowhere and nobody to give it to. It makes her insecure, lonely as hell and just plain sad.
I agree with Edward one one thing, despite what she feels, they have a lot in common. Also, there is this electric current between them, more than just simple sexual tension -if there ever is such a thing- one can almost hear it crackling.
Looking forward to the next chapter. This is hands down one of the best stories I have read in twilight and svm fandom.

Though, it is not something she can't fix, since her actions weren't because she is emotionally bankrupt like her popular friends or out of maliciousness. She was like a lost puppy and it seems every time she was going to say or do something out of character for her -the real Bella- she internally cringed and questioned herself.
When will u continue with this gem of a story? Not that I want to take you away from the impossibly hot new story of yours but this needs some love too :)

Bella decided to leave her college life when she was twenty one to tend to her family and matters she was forced to deal with head on. Four years later, she goes back to finish her degree. She is a very serious student and wants to focus on her degree adn the mystery she is hiding.
Once back in Boston, she meets a kind stranger at her work who seems interested in her. Her lousy teacher's assistant is hot, but seems to be a bit conceited. What roll will each of these men play in her life?
Secrest are dealt with in Boston head on and feelings are explored. Follow Bella as she finishes her degree and tries to learn how to with living a life once her secrets are reveled.

I can't help but feel a little weary of Carlisle. Almost as if he is too perfect. I am waiting for the other show to drop. I have this idea in my head that something that he did made Esme the cold, closed off person she is today. Why else would she change so drastically?
Maybe my fantasy is taking me for a ride lol. Since I am very pro Edward & Bella I have a hard time accepting Carlisle.
As a mother or a sibling I can appreciate Jacob's and Renee's hesitation towards this relationship but looking from Bella's POV there is nothing wrong with some age difference since she is a grown woman.

Don't be weary of Carlisle. He is what I am looking for (minus the whole age thing)...he's just a nice man. He isn't going to be a ceral killer or a rapest or anything like that. he is just a regualr guy. Esme went off the deep end because she felt she had to be a certian way all the time. She married when she did basicly because that was what was expected of her.
I'm usually very pro Bella and Edward, however, in the Twilight world I am very much a Carlisle fan. He's my favorite charecter and I enjoy writing him like this. I wrote another B/C story, which I think was sweet.
Jacob and Renee aren't completly done with their concerns with Bella and Carlisle's relationship. More of that coming later!
I'm working on the next chapter as we speak and hope to have it posted by the weekend.

She thinks she's the fool, but I know that it's a little confusing. If you think of a better word that would erase the confusion, tell me and I'll change it. The thing is that the word she uses in French can not be translated literally in English...

awww! so many misunderstandings. Poor Bella.
All I could think was what a waste of a bath :) now they're even dirtier...
What an adjustment she has to make. She is not an ungrateful person or a spoiled brat, just someone who is accustomed to another lifestyle. I like that she was feeling guilty about Charlie having to sleep on the couch and that she was suprised and ashamed when she realised how much work it takes to prepare a bath. This all shows good character.
Edward is right about feeling guilty, Bella might have wanted it but his timing was not the best. She is not in the right mindset. If Wallace hadn't interrupted she might have lost her virginity in a dusty, abandoned house and they both would have regretted that afterwards.
I was hoping that Charlie would get a position offered in Forks as Chief so they could leave this dusty hellhole but now that Carlisle is coming I guess they're all stuck there :)

I really wanted to be in on the joke with him but I must say in this chapter I am soooooooo team Bella!! Especially after seeing that chore list... I mean I am a person who likes to vacuum, re-organize drawers and clean the kitchen to relax but that list almost made me faint. Lol!
I am glad that she had her talk with Charlie. He was a bit harsh with her. This is far beyond s rep down from what she is used to. There is no water in the house! She has to churn butter! Lmao!
Also kinda felt bad for her when she wasn't sure about Edward's thoughts about her. She is not spoiled in my opinion just terribly sheltered and naive. I have a feeling he will do a lot of making up to her in the coming chapters since he will be digging his own grave for a while with her.

Edward is very harsh, but if you notice it is mainly when it comes to dealing with females. He is a strict teacher, but a lot of that comes from the upbringing he had. There is much more to learn about our Darkward witht he shaded view of all women. Bella is EXTEEMLY uneducated, and you are right on the money with her reading abilities. More of that will come to surface as well, there is much to learn about our key players and the first few chapters are mainly about Edward since this story will mainly be told under his pov because it is HIS CIMMERIAN VIEW that we are reading this story through. After taking a shower and having some breakfast with the guys, I head off to the college. I arrive around nine just before my first class arrives. I get in set up and as the bell rings, I start my class. Riley stayed behind after class, and said that he would read in class. I figured that he could read the next whole page, from where we left off. I give him the page that I will have him read, I went though it once with him. He recorded it to listen to it when he was at home, so he could practice it.
I am in my office grading papers when the cleaning girl comes into my office, she does not notice me as she continues to clean. She comes near me still not noticing me, as she goes to move my chair she yelps and realizes that I am sitting in it. She stares at me, in surprise. “Professor Masen, I am. . .” she stops placing her hand on her head. I watch as she closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. “Professor I am sorry. I did not know that you were here. I can just go, I am sorry,” she says picking up her thing and leaving quickly. I shake my head and continue to mark my last page.
I leave my office notice the cleaning girl is now doing the class room she looks up at me goes red. She mouths the word sorry again before going back to her work. As I put on my jacket I hear a bang and the cleaning girl yelp again, but this time in pain. I look over to her to see that she has tried to use the socket that has been broken and needs to be fixed.
I shake my head, is this girl really that unobservant? “Did you not read the warning sign? Right here,” I say pointing to the sign. “It says, ‘caution, do not use this socket’. Please be more observant, before you get really hurt,” I say in frustration. She looks at me, and shakes her head telling me she didn’t see the sign.
