Wow, this is turning into a Christmas nightmare...First off, Jessica has some nerve trying to petition for custody after giving up all rights, and 2 people living together is hardly a legal issue in my opinion. Edward and Bella do seem to have some communication issues, and they keep emotions bottled up until they snap and overreact...I hope they can calm down and get back together.
Bella is absolutely right in being upset at what he said and for not letting her in, but leaving without telling anyone on Christmas seems irresponsible, even if she is mad at Edward. Good news is that it definitely Edward know how bad he messed up and how serious it was. So I was happy the Cullens found and brought her back, but wasn't expecting her to be so cold to Edward once he apologized

Okay, I started to read this chapter expecting to read about some great post-engagement loving and other bedroom antics, but instead you completely rip them apart. I am sure I am not the only one wondering what happened?
So Jessica is going to use the BDSM argument in her custody battle. First off, whether Bella is there or not, wouldn't she still be able to bring his sexual history up in court. Also, unless she has proof that Edward still practices that lifestyle, he could simply say he experimented in the past but is now focused on being the best father for Carlie. Again, this would have nothing to do with Bella.
Isn't it worse for him to go to court single instead of in a loving relationship heading towards marriage with a spouse intent on adopting Carlie? And how was it explained to Carlie that Bella is suddenly gone and she has to transfer schools...I am sure Carlie feels like this is partially her fault that she is at a new school and Bella is gone from their life. And how could Edward not fight for Bella and just quietly take his ring back, after all the drama it took to get engaged. I understand that Carlie is a child and must be a top priority, but he didn't attempt to find a way to make Bella a priority too. And to me the most unforgivable part is all the Cullens stopped talking to her, not just Edward...She went from family to nothing, and I really don't know how it can be fixed.
Sorry about the rant above. Obviously I love this story and will keep reading to see what happens next, but I had to get some of my frustration off my chest, and now I will hope that better things are to come for Bella.

Poor Bella, her life is quite a mess. I am glad she is back in town and with the Cullens, especially for Carlie's sake. I also thought it was sweet that Edward saved her last 3 voicemails, but I think they still have a long way to go. It's good that are going to couples therapy and being honest about the BDSM stuff.
I really like what you did in this chapter to mark the passage of time. Now I am excited to see what happens on date night

Yikes, being compared to Renee for running away must have been really tough for Bella to hear, that she essentially did to Carlie what her mom did to her. I am glad they are in therapy and realizing all the mistakes they made along the way. I didn't realize she was so bothered by the D/s aspect of the relationship and how it makes her uncomfortable [from memory, I haven't gone back to reread]...also I understand Bella's issue with money, but I don't get why Edward is so reluctant to share info on it, so maybe we will find out why soon...I can't wait to see what happens next.
Wow, 16 months with no sex...I can't remember exactly how long they were apart, but they have been living together for awhile, so I am shocked they have kept everything so PG-13.
Edward is such a dumbass. He finally gets his woman back and successfully proposes, is promised a wild night of sex with a freshly waxed Bella hoohah, yet he gets stupid drunk, passes out alone, and pisses Bella off, again. When will that boy ever learn.

Glad to see that life goes on, and they had a nice time away from the kids.
Now, I am a bit confused why Bella would be so mad at Edward because of Carmen's will. He had no knowledge of it and didn't ask for it, so why can she blame him for it and be mean to him...it is pretty much out of his hands...of course she may be upset when she finds out he is keeping the money, but it sounds like he has good things planned to use it on.
On a sidenote, what the heck did Carmen do for a living to leave that kind of estate behind...wowza

Death happens, I can accept that if it makes sense for the story. What is hard to believe is that Esme knew she had cancer and ignored it - even being married to a doctor...that must have almost felt like a betrayal to poor Carlisle, once it was too late to treat.
Glad that Bella was able to step up and assume her role in the family, even if Edward is dumb enough to initiate a sexbargo to prove a point...hint, hint - nobody wins!
It has been quite fun watching this family and all their quirks interact over the years, and I look forward to see how you wind it down, just please don't kill Bella or Edward - the readers might stone you if that occurs

'The story of us', was 'Bon Secours'. And 'Instructions Not Included', was 'Bon Secours the sequel'. Sorry to throw you off, but a name change was a must.
Sequel to 'The Story of Us', if you didn't read that, please do so before you read this. The title says it all, since children do not come with an instruction manual. This picks up right where the original leaves off, 'The Story of us' epilogue. If you liked that, you will LOVE this. How will Edward and Bella deal with a house full of teenagers? There's flashbacks, more drama, more lemons, much more humor, and a whole lot of story.
Doctorward is there too, just like the first story.
It's incredibly long because we have the (A) story, which is Edward and Bella. Then we have the (B) story, which is EJ and CC, their two oldest children.
Points of view will fluctuate. Chapters will be split, since there's essentially two stories in one.
Rated NC-17 just in case for Lemons and Language galore

"Mmmm, why are you awake?" Edward rasped, while burying his face in the crook of my neck. "Did you have another bad dream?"
"No, you must have scared all the bad dreams away. I slept just fine once you were here," I admitted to him because it was the truth. It was the best I had slept in a long time.
"Is that so?"
"Yep. I guess you're like my personal dream catcher or something," I teased.
"Well I'll happily perform that duty anytime," he said placing a kiss just behind my ear.
I stretched before rolling over to face him. "I'm gonna hold you to that, ya know," I whispered as I scooted as close to him as I could get.
"I have no doubt you will, Sweetness. In fact, I'm looking forward it," he said softly as his arms tightened around me, holding me. "You sure you're ok?"
"Yeah I was just thinking," I answered after placing a kiss on the side of his neck.
"Penny for your thoughts," he offered.
"Just a little nervous about meeting your parents," I murmured against his neck.
"Don't be," he said.
"How can you be so sure they won't think I am messing up your life? Look at all you've had to give up because of me. I've just recently realized how much being here with me all the time has disrupted your normal life."
"Bella, first of all, it doesn't matter to me what they think. Or maybe I should say it's not going to change anything. Not how I feel or the fact I want to be here. What you are failing to see is that I haven't had to give up anything. I chose to do it and I have no regrets about it at all whatsoever. No one forced me to take on the task of keeping you safe. I volunteered. And given the choice again, I'd do it in a heartbeat."

"I don't know, Bella," Emmett said as he debated whether or not to agree to my visiting Reynolds. I had spent the whole morning in my office contemplating what I would say to him in order to have the best shot at him agreeing. I knew if I couldn't convince Emmett, there was no way of convincing Edward. So I worked on my boss and good friend first, knowing he was completely aware of the number of times I had already come face to face with the monster who was locked up just two hours south of here.
"Look, Emmett, I haven't come face to face with him since all of this bullshit with the apples and the notes began. I need to see that he is still in that prison with my own eyes. I know it's a bit ridiculous and the rational side of my brain knows he is. But there's the other side that was scared shitless by what took place in that house and the nightmares I've been having since then that needs to do this. I need it for my own sanity. Besides I want the opportunity to confront him about the apples and letters and see if I can catch him off guard. Get a read on him and see if I can make him slip up and give us some information."
"You've been having nightmares?" Emmett asked, surprised by my admission.
"Yes, which only increases my desire to make sure he is still in that prison. And I've had enough training and experience dealing with Reynolds that I know I can go in there and keep my cool around him. I want to make him see he is not getting to me even if he has to some degree."
"I hear what you're saying, Bella. I get it, I really do. But do you really think you might be able to get him to admit something?" Emmett asked quizzically.
"I got him to confess to the crimes he was being accused of didn't I?" I retorted.
"Yes you did. But this is personal, Bella. Can you really go in there and not let him rattle you?"
"Emmett, what he is doing to me is nothing compared to what he did to those other women. I had to sit there and listen to him tell me about what he did. So yeah, I think I can. I didn't let the gruesome vulgarity of what he'd done to them get to me when I'd convinced Reynolds that I understood him and empathized with him in order to get a confession. I won't let it bother me now either. If it will make you happy, you and Edward can both come with me. I know that either you or Seth would have to go anyways, so why not take Edward too? He won't like it anymore than you, so I figure he'll insist on going. Might as well just avert the argument and set it up that way," I said as I continued to argue my case with him.
"You should have been a fucking attorney, Swan," Emmett huffed.
"Oh, but then I wouldn't have the pleasure of working with you," I added sarcastically before painting a fake pout on my face that had Emmett rolling with laughter the second he saw it.
"Fine, I'll call down to Stafford and let them know we'll be there tomorrow. In the mean time, you get to call lover boy and make sure he is available to go then.

I went back downstairs and tried to occupy myself and not think about the fact that Bella was upstairs in my bathroom naked and wet. It wasn't an easy thing to do. Thoughts of her in my tub caused images of the day she had sprayed herself down after she'd washed her car to fill my mind. My head and my heart were telling me it was too soon to jump back into a physical relationship with her, that I had to take things at her pace, but my body was screaming just the opposite. Sleeping next to her every night and feeling her body pressed up against mine was bliss and torture all at the same time. I loved being there with her, having her in my arms all night long, but I was also yearning to touch her and make love to her again.
My thoughts shifted to the conversation we'd had the other day. I'd been sleeping in her room with her ever since the night we came back from her parent's house. After the first few days of me going back and forth between the two rooms to get what I needed, Bella said there was no way she was sleeping without me again so I should just move all of my stuff into her room. I was a little concerned that she was using me as a security blanket of sorts. I tried to not make a big deal about it but in the end I had to know if it was because she wanted me there for me or because of the bad dreams she'd been having, since it was the dreams that instigated my being there in the first place. Once we talked about it she assured me that while it may have started out because of the dreams, she loved having me in bed next to her and wanted me there because she loved me and didn't want to be away from me. Bella also told me that she'd only had one nightmare since we'd been out to the prison and it wasn't as intense as the others. Her explanation came as a relief to me. If she had been keeping me there because of the dreams, I would have stayed. But I would have also suggested that she talk to someone about her dreams, that they may be bothering her more than they should. It appeared that confronting Reynolds and seeing he was indeed still locked up gave her the result she had hoped it would.
Not wanting to be away from her any longer and thinking she'd be done with her bath soon, I made sure the loft was locked up, the alarm was set and then grabbed her bag, taking it upstairs to my room with me. I snickered to myself when it dawned on me that she'd been so excited to get in the tub, she'd forgotten to take her bag with her, meaning she wouldn't have anything to wear with her in the bathroom.
I got undressed and slipped into a pair of gym shorts and a t-shirt. Lounging across my bed I turned on the TV and caught up on all the local news while I waited for Bella to be finished with her bath. I was only slightly disappointed when she emerged from the bathroom, wearing one of my button-down shirts. And I say only slightly because even though I had hoped she'd be in nothing more than a towel, she was damn sexy wearing my clothes.
"Um… I hope you don't mind. It seems in my haste to try out your tub, I forgot my bag downstairs." She had a hint of pink on her cheeks as she pulled her bottom lip in between her teeth while she leaned against the doorway, waiting for my reply.

Another great chapter...that Chelsea is a piece of work, some people are so delusional and self-absorbed that they can't relate to anyone, so I feel sorry for her husband, but also giggled that Rose scared her off with Bella's threat of carrying a gun.

“Just wanna help my girl relax before she goes to bed. I know this has been hard for you and I want to take care of you. Is that so bad?” he asked as he took my hand and pulled me up off the bed and held me tightly against him.
“Mmm, nothing wrong with it at all,” I said as I reached up and placed a soft kiss where his jaw and neck met. “I just have one request though.”
“And what would that be, Sweetness?”
“That you join me.”
“I think I can arrange that,” he said lowering his face and covering my lips with his. Without breaking the kiss, he picked me up and carried me to the bathroom.
Setting me back down on my feet, we began to undress each other, taking our time and savoring every moment as we kissed and touched until we were both bare. Edward had dimmed the light in the room, giving it a soft glow similar to that of candle light.
“No candles?” I teased, leaning my head back, allowing him better access to the spot on my neck where he was currently placing languid open mouthed kisses.
“Nope. Remember you are the only woman who has ever been here. So I am totally unprepared for setting up romantic moments. But you can be sure I will rectify that as soon as I can because I plan to have plenty of them here with you.”
“You’re gonna spoil me, Edward.”
“That’s the plan, Sweetness. Now let’s get you in the water before it gets cold.”

Another great post. I understand Edward's guilt as he is a security expert, so it does reflect poorly that someone got in, even if the explanation about waiting makes sense. I wonder if Mike was in on it, or just unlucky coincidence.
Jessica defnitely sounds suspicious with the transfer, so I can't wait to see what happens next, or what Seth is up to.

Jessica still looks mighty suspicious, and her findings on Lauren were interesting yet make sense if she was disinherited for being a lesbian. In the back of my mind, a part of me thinks she may too obvious so we will see what you reveal in the next chapter and can't wait for what happens next!
James cannot get transferred soon enough. I hope it isn't like on Silence of the Lambs where he escapes in transit, he just needs to be put down for good. Was James extremely wealthy prior to his incarceration? It seems like he would need lots of money for all the trouble he is causing.

Welcome back - I have been reading your other work Living Amongst Hell so I wasn't sure when you would get a chance to get back to this one. I really love this story and I love how in depth your chapters are!
It was great to see Bella have some human time with Angela, and I can't wait to see what happens if Angela comes back for Ben's party, hopefully they will have some non-blood refreshments for the human. Although I can't picture Edward letting Bella attend a vamp party knowing there is a killer on the loose targeting victims that look like her.
And Whew, Edward has been making up for lost time with his marking and mating scents, amongst all the lemons in this chapter, I love it! He is so hot when he is being the dominant vampire.
A visit from Aro doesn't sound good, so can't wait to see what happens next!

I would say about half way over maybe. The stalker may be in custody but who knows what is going to happen. Author's Response: Most times when they find the one they do not search for the other and the second is not always noticable depending on babies placements as well. I actually personally know a woman who when I was like 12 (Almost 30 years ago) had a sonogram because she was so HUGE they thought twins but the sonogram only saw one baby they could not see a second baby and she ended up having twins. They were just one on top of the other and could not be seen. Nowadays it would be harder for such a slip being that we have the 3d ultrasounds and what not. I can't believe he shot at them, but I was pretty sure Edward would be okay, but poor Sasha, hope she is okay eventually. Alec is seriously unstable and I can't wait for him to go down. Part of being unstable is not being able to see clearly between reality and delusion. Alec lives in a serious amount of delusion and I do nto think would know reality if it bit him in the butt. There will a total of 47 chapters of story and a chapter for the epilog. So you do nto have to stress too much it will all come to an end soon. I promise it will be a HEA ending. My one and only trip to England we went to Stratford upon Avon and I went to most of the places mentioned in this chapter, so that was really cool to read about. The gardens are simply gorgeous. And nice proposal cliffy, can't wait to read more!

As soon as i read this exchange I knew it was done, as did Bella. That was the dealbreaker. I know Edward is hurting over his past and the recent loss of his father, but I held hope he would snap out of it, especially when he saw Bella in person and they had sex. But that one sentence was so powerful in ending their relationship. It is not really something you can work on from here, and Bella should just cut her losses and keep her family support. She doesn't need this stress in her life. I know, easier said than done.
Not sure what to make of the Jane situation, she annoys me and to do a 180 seemed too sudden, so I wouldn't trust her if I were Bella. Time to get the heck out of Forks and move on...Renee is pretty awesome, but I have to ask what Emmett thinks about Edward...because I imagine knockin Bella up and leaving her would not make her overprotective brother happy, at all.

I'm trying to work on an out take of Edward's point of view (I have never done one before. I'm working on that and the next chapter as we speak, so it might be a little longer for an update). I want to show what he was thinking/feeling during the whole scene (not that will make things right).
Jane was only intersted in protecting her brother, that's why she didn't like Bella. She was from a world that Jane didn't know and immeditly thought she was after Edward fo rhis money. Once Bella had it out with her and proved that she didn't care about his money Jane was more at ease. Now she knows that Bella didn't get pregnant on purpose, she would like to help her. I had more dialoug between Bella and Jane but edited it out (it didn't flow right). Bella is on the first flight from Seattle to Boston in the next chapter.
There maybe a conversation with Emmett coming up soon, we'll see.

Yeah, overprotective Emmett is back, and I am glad that he is just as pissed as we readers are at Edward. I didn't even think about the flowers in the airport trash until another reviewer mentioned it, but now I could totally see Edward running to the airport to stop her and seeing Jake. Of course instead of fighting for her, he turned tail and ran again. That would explain the difference in the messages between the first 2 deliveries and the last one.
I know that emotionally Edward is all over the place, but he needs to quit being such an emo-bitch and make a grand jesture to Bella. Sending flowers are ok, but so impersonal after everything they have been through. I still have hope that he will come around and hopefully it won't be too late, but I am starting to wonder how long it will take him to get there.
On a sidenote, I don't understand after all that Tanya did to him how he can even speak to her much less still consider her a friend. Edward doesn't make very good decisions about relationships, does he?

Emmett loves his little sister and hates to see her upset. He is pissed. He might come back and revisit his emotions at some point. We'll see about that. Edward does not make good decisions when it comes to friends. i hope the next chapter, which is the outake from Edward's POV will let you inside his brain a little.
On a side note, I won't be updating for at least 2-3 weeks. i am having computer issues and the nice geeks at Best Buy told me it would take that long to fix it. Grrr....however, I am writing the story so when I get my computer back all I will have to do is type the chapters up (keep your fingers crossed that it will be quickly). i hope that you are still interested in the story then!

I loved the surprise baby shower, and especially that Renee and Jane attended. I am glad that Renee put Esme in her place - maybe that will wake her up on how she treats her daughter.
I was surprised knowing how loving Renee is that she is refusing to speak to her own son. Not that he doesn't deserve it. I was also glad to hear he has been calling and sending flowers, but agree with Bella that it is not enough. It is time for the grand gesture. Why has he not jumped on a place and sat outside her porch if he is serious about this. He needs to show up in person, even if he takes his licks from Emmett or Jacob...can't wait to see what happens next.

Finally, Edward steps up...I still think Bella is awesomely forgiving but I do understand putting your child before your needs now that Edward wants to be involved.
Jake is in a no-win situation. He has been there in Edward's absence, but is not the father as much as he wishes he was, and now that Edward is back he is feeling pushed aside now. But he was wrong to not let Bella handle things and to delete those messages from the phone was pretty uncalled for, so good for Bella there.
Now that the baby is here, we have seen Renee and Edward show up, but where are the Cullens, I am interested to see if Esme has come around yet. Keep up the good work!

Bella really, really wants to get back with Edward, but knows he has to prove himself to her and the baby. Above all else, she is trying to think of one person, Charlotte. She is her life now and has to take care of her and act responsibly.
Jacob loves Bella, but only as a friend/sister. He acted as he thought was right. He's mad that Bella, who was so hurt before, is so willing to let Edward be there and he feels like she is asking him to not to help her, which isn't what Bella said or thinks at all. She is greatful for everything Jacob as done and he needs to realize that. heknows he is wrong, which is one reason he leaves immeditly when Bella asks him to.
About Dr. and Mrs. Cullen, they have been around. I'm working on the next chapter, which I will post hopefully today some time. The chapter following that I think is going to be another outake form Edward. My notes for that page are really long, so that might be a two parter. i dont' like having the story interrupted with outakes, however his take on things will shed a little light on things adn will include the doctor and his mrs.

I hope Bella can find a way to forgive Edward for lying, but I don't see it happening easily since she asked him point blank a while back and he got defensive about it and continued to hide the truth. He may have to propose to her just to get her back for good after this...

I have to agree with Renee and Esme [can't believe I am typing that]...His earlier fears about babies and marriage stem from his past...well, Tanya is gone from his life and he has been in counseling for the rest...he has a baby that he loves and claims he loves Bella, so why it is such a big deal for him to man up and marry Bella...It doesn't have to be tomorrow, but to know it is in the future for them would be nice.
And lets face it, after he was such a dick and completely absent from her entire pregnancy, I think he owes one to Bella, and making one of her dreams a reality is the way to go...he even claims he wants to spend the rest of his life with her and knows she is it for him, so its really only a title at this point....Man up Edward!

But I really enjoy seeing these events from Edward's eyes, and I like his more sexual thoughts and emotions, because let's face it, he may be a virgin, but he is still a boy :)

This was an interesting chapter. I was glad to see Bella with Charlie and their relationship, but can't believe with the wedding and all she wouldn't have learned about Sue and Seth sooner.
And what an unlucky coincidence that Leah's man is Bella's ex Jacob...man, he is nasty, but actually sounds perfect for Leah so far.
I loved Seth and thought he sounded so cute and was happy to see Bella build a realationship with him...and even offering to skype to stay in touch was great.
As much as I love your family time, it's back to Edward and Bella, so let's get these 2 together now....please!!!
