Bella Black arrives in Rosewood, Colorado ready to move on from her past with the freedom being a woman of means affords. Can the good marshal be the fresh start she needs, or will the Wild West be too much for both of them to handle?

Summary: Edward Cullen, the Grand Duke and second son of the King, must find a bride. Isabella Sinclair, daughter of Countess Catherine and Duke Charles, was born out of wedlock and has neither titles nor land to her name. Could she be the bride Edward's looking for? During the eighteenth century, travelling was dangerous. Highwaymen terrorized travelers on the roads and pirates ruled the seas. Edward and his parents were robbed and shot by a gang of highwaymen. Edward was brought back from the brink of death by a vampire. He vowed to avenge his parents' deaths. His search for his enemies, led him to the sea. Join Edward in some swashbuckling adventures as he becomes a pirate captain to destroy the villainous murders who had taken away the most precious things in his life. By the time he's done with the villains, they would wish that they had killed him when they had the chance. 

Mermaid Bella, Bella and her siblings spot a sinking ship out on the one night and against their wishes she saves the survivors but will this be a decision she'll live to regret. Rated M for the usual, summary would've been better but I can't decide if it's historical or modern.

After graduating from Auburn, young Veterinarian Dr. Nathan Ogilvie moves to Savannah, Georgia to begin his practice in a difficult year: 1936.  He is successful, and he is well liked for his compassion and assistance to poor farmers, but his personal convictions soon make him a controversial figure.  In the small town of Pooler, just outside of Savannah, he befriends a colored woman named Mattie Walker who takes in orphans and abandoned children, many of whom are half white.  Out of desperation, Mattie calls him for help with a rape victim who has taken refuge with her, and his life is changed forever. He soon falls in love with his patient, but there is one problem: she is colored.  As their relationship develops, he further alienates himself from the community and endangers his fledgling practice, but he also finds support among true friends, including the sheriff in Pooler.  Life becomes even more complicated when a wealthy cotton broker goes missing, and Nathan finds himself fighting to save those closest to him from murderous accusations.

Set on the Yorkshire Moors in 1800's, Edward Cullen isolates himself from the lust and want filled thoughts of humans. He is disturbed by an injured traveler who stumbles across his mansion in search of respite. Upon reading his mind Edward is captivated by the man's beautiful daughter, Isabella. Edward will stop at nothing to make her his...whatever the cost.

While writing EPOV of the Twilight Saga I always go back to Edward's past, in journal entries or thoughts. I have long believed Edward's Catholic upbringing and faith made him who he is so this delves into that and shows us what his life would have been like had he met Isabella Swan in 1918, Chicago.
