Four or five chapters sounds perfect. Don't push it. Just make sure you take care of yourself.

For the first time, I actually skimmed through the lemons to get to the good parts. How cool is that? I love how you made sure everyone showed their strengths and weaknesses. It seemed that was the theme: everybody has flaws, but its's the people who surround you that make perfection.

I know you are writing Edward as a Dominant. But, I wonder why your Edward can't tell the difference between being a Dom with a Sub with a contract and functioning on a "normal" level with a non-participant? He can't even comprehend that Bella had been sexually attacted twice in one day. It's kind of creeping me out. Obviously you don't have to be a sparkly vampire to be completely out of touch with human behavior.

But, I bet I am totally jumping the gun and should just trust that all will be revealed in due time. You're that good of an author.

I am ashamed to say, but I lost track of this story. This was the last chapter I had read. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was when I stumbled upon it again. With all the FFs I have read since, this one is still one of my favorites. I absolutely love the integration of the monster and human self if E. There are other stories who have tried, but yours is the best one.

My only regret is that somehow your gem is not as well-known as it should be. As the saying goes, I will pimp it out.

Personally, I don't need to know what his perspective is. An abusive man is an abusive man. It doesn't matter if he wasn't breastfed enough or if Edward took one of his toys in preschool or he was beaten within an inch of his life as a defenseless kid. I'd rather keep reading how you will give Bella the strength to be Bella again.

God darn it (censored myself for those who are insulted by my blasphemy)! I just read this with the biggest, shit-ass-grin on my face. Snarkiness was in every sentence and too cute for words. You had me rooting for Edward the whole time, but you still had me wanting to smack him on the back of his head. Your Bella is beyond bitchy and yet, she's not. You have done a wonderful job creating such a multi-dimensional character, reminding me there are reasons behind behaviors.

When you wrote of Edward "busy spinning a short tumbler of dark liquid", I felt like I was that dark liquid. This chapter had all these emotions of fight or flight, or choosing not to feel rather than risk rejection swirling about. Bella is functional, dysfunctional little girl. Curiousity is the first crack of emotions Bella is experiencing. This was lovely.

To be honest, I don't know what the feminists were all up in arms. You have written Bella as someone who has been emotionally neglected all her life. Instinctually, she knew it wasn't right, but it just was. Her power was taken away from her. But, with Edward, she gave him that power of control. There is a difference between not being in control of one's life and letting go of that control willingly.

My question is, did Edward know that towards the end, she was getting more out of it that than he was?  Her peace of mind, no matter the source, was worth the price.

Holy cow! For this kind of prose, I'll wait forever. I can't begin to describe the impact each word had. Every word felt intended to provoke a reaction, not just from Bella or from Edward, but from me, the reader. The pain was palable and heart breaking. Bella is so disconnected from herself that she doesn't even realize it. I think her out of body experience was the first feeling she's ever had. Or so I think. I tend to take FF too seriously sometimes.

At this point, I'm not particularly interested in Edward's issues. He accused her that she didn't know what she was forgiving him for. But, what exactly was he asking for her absolution of?

Holy Frickin-A!! That was amazing. I loved how you laid Bella's ghost at Edward's feet. She bared her soul ... she literally had word-vomit. I thought her walls were because of her lost childhood. I didn't realize the mortar was Charlie, himself. I have to go and re-read Renee, now.

I luv this story. I can't imagine how hard it has to be, to come up with chapter after chapter, and be true to your B/E. HOWEVER, I had kind of hoped you would have taken the coward's way out and have had them escape, just like the 2 Elizabeth's before them.
