I am having problems submitting reviews or posting new chapters/stories. What can I do?

More than likely you are using Internet Explorer. Unfortunately when IE made their last update, it did something to make it incompatible with our programming. Many other websites similar to ours have similar issues with using IE. We are hoping to have it fixed in the next library update, but we don't have a timeline for you. Those using Firefox, Chrome, Dolphin or Safari have no problem.

Do you have a mobile friendly site?

We do offer a skin that is more mobile friendly than our default skin. You can change this in two places. The first option would be by clicking on My Account and then Edit Preferences. Once there change your skin to Vision. The second option is to change your skin on the home page. The skin changer can be found in the Site Info box located in the upper left column. Click on the dropdown menu and choose vision or vision dark.

How do I receive email alerts for updates?

In order to receive email updates follow these steps.

  • Click on My Account
  • Click on Edit Preferences
  • Be sure there is a check mark in the box next to \Contact when favorites are updated.\

Once you have ensured you will receive email updates, you need to add stories and authors to your favorites to receive their updates. Adding stories to favorites means that you will receive an email when a new chapter is added to that story. Adding an author to favorites means that you will receive an email when that author adds a new story.

How do I add stories/authors to my favorites?

For both items 1) you have to go into your Account Info, then Edit Preferences. Select the radio button for \contact when favorites are updated\ (one time only) and 2) favorite each story and/or author (click add to favorites; when next screen comes up, hit submit). If you favorite an author, you will get notification when a new story posts only. If you favorite a story, you will get notification when that story gets a chapter update.

Help! I've set up my account to receive email alerts but I'm still not receiving them. What should I do?

A lot of our members are having problems receiving email alerts. It seems to be a common problem with members who have comcast/aol/cox/live emails. A few other members with different email providers are experiencing the same problems. Our alert system is working properly. The emails are being created and leaving our server. For some reason they are not making it to your inbox. All we can do on our end is ensure that the alerts are generated and sent. After they leave our server I'm unable to track the problem.

The best and easiest solution we can see is to set up a free gmail account if you are not receiving email alerts. In gmail's settings you can set up the incoming mail to forward to your comcast address. A lot of people like this option because they can use the gmail account for all of their fanfic needs and keep their person email private.

I've changed the skin but I'm still having a hard time reading in my browser. What do I do?

Try using the iReader app. Many phones also have this app.You can find it for your browser by following these links:
