yes, "anxious" - that's a good word, definitely anxious and a little light headed and maybe clouded ... mysterious man and his mysterious abode ...
"tease" comes to mind - do you enjoy teasing us? but you give us so much ... all of her thoughts, rushing out at a mile a minute ... but only just a piece of the puzzle at a time ... I'm sure it is all for good reason and all in good time ... but like I mentioned, I tend to be impatient ... just something about your words keeps my eyes glued to the screen! :)

Alex ... the paintings ... the heartbreak ... the pain ... the mysterious, achingly breathtaking stalker (teehee, I mean, admirer) ... certainly seems like you have all of the right ingredients for the beginning of a beautiful mess ...

love your words and the questions you pose ... "Is it possible that a person can fill an emptiness in us we don't know is there?" all of them = swoon-worthy (or should I say, mush-y - in the best possible way - and then some!
and all of her conversations with herself - selves? - are adorable indeed, topped with a bit of quite amusing ;)
seriously, if you could have seen me reading this chapter ... lots of giggling and holding my heart and awwwww'ing! (and, truth be told, a little bit of, "is she seriously in a gallery of her with her stalker?!?" and, "why hasn't she jumped him yet?" teeheehee)
also, great job weaving the title through the title chapter and then some ... learned something new about the name "claire" ... so, what does "jaimin" mean? (google says "love" - is that what you had in mind?)
