Bio:
Bella Swan works as a nurse at Cook County Hospital in the ER. She's older and desperate for love. It's hindered by her shy personality and plump body. Her father, whom she lives with, teases her relentlessly for being fat and single.
Edward Cullen, thirty-three, is hired as a doctor in the ER. He's getting over a divorce. He moved to Chicago to be closer to his family: sister, Rosalie, and brother, Jasper. Rosalie is younger than Edward by ten years and is struggling with an eating disorder brought on by a heinous rape of her ex-boyfriend. Jasper, twenty-seven, is finishing up his doctorate in history.
Bella is charmed by this new doctor in the ER. He's kind and thinks about his patients and maintains a friendly rapport with the nurses and orderlies. Edward is intrigued by the sad nurse who does her job efficiently but doesn't have a sparkle in her eyes.
Will she allow Dr. Cullen into her life or will she let her insecurities get in the way of her happiness. Perhaps, Dr. Feelgood can write her a prescription. A prescription for love...

Edward’s little sister Alice was also 13 and Bella’s best friend.
While home from college for the summer, Edward spent time with his little sister and her best friend so their parents could all go out for dinner.
Over the next several years, Edward and Bella became good friends, until the summer she turned 16 when she transformed before his eyes.
AH, ExB, Mostly EPOV, sort of coming-of-age, hopefully a little poignant, with a splash of angst until Bella's at least seventeen. Mature for language, eventual lemons and a very spunky Bella.

I'm so glad the you enjoyed the chapter. They will meet privately but this story is a slow burn so hang in there. I went to the surgeon yesterday and he has decided he wants to build up the muscles in the shoulder before doing the surgery, so now I have to do 6 weeks of physical therapy. I just want to get the surgery over with but I have to defer to the experts I guess.

I arrived at Texas Roadhouse and saw Dad and Jake waiting for me just outside the door. I parked near Dad’s patrol car and walked up to them, giving them both hugs.
“How are my two favorite men doing this evening?” I asked happily.
“We are great Bells but I’m dying to find out what your big news is,” Jake answered with a huge grin on his face. “Did you meet someone that isn’t good enough for you and I’m going to have to kill if he hurts you?”
I rolled my eyes and tried to act like he was crazy but my blush gave me away.
“Bella, did you meet someone? Do I know this guy? I need his name and driver’s licenses number so I can run a background check on him before you’re allowed to go anywhere with this boy,” Dad stated sternly.
“Both of you settle down. That is not what I have to tell you and you’ll just have to wait until we get to the table,” I stated, shaking my head at the two overprotective men standing before me.
I love them both but what I told Edward earlier about my social life was true. How was I ever going to find someone that would stick around with these two grilling them constantly?
