Really? This Edward seems like a creep. Any 25 year old man knowingly wanting to pop a 17 year olds cherry is dirty, and "demanding" more from her when she said no is called coercing - AKA sexual harrasment. And even IF he didn't scare her into doing more, dirty talk for her first time? Real classy. It'd be different if before everything, he thought she was 21, and found out later - and maybe had some redeming qualities. But this has no appeal to me, sorry.

Real or not, abuse isn't my thing. I'm all for D/s-esque stories and relationships, but not when one of the parties have no say - which Bella clearly doesn't. Whether she's "willing" or not, Edward's taking, he's not asking and that's where the problem is.

I wish you would have turned her into Bella instead of turning her into someone else, someone unreconizable to us. I feel like it's an entirely different character now (and maybe that's what you were going for...) and can't really relate to her in anyway. So, for this story, I'm going to pass. I just thought you deserved to know why.

Thank you for taking the time to review. What I learned from writing this fic was that people can be very judging after only reading the prologue -- I received over 15k hits on FFn, and most didn't return for Chapter 1.
What happens at Charlie's wedding is hot and unforgettable for Bella Swan. Charlie's best man has her moaning and melting everywhere from her father's living room to the coat closet at the rehearsal dinner. But great no-strings-attached sex suddenly becomes complicated. And what will happen when Bella meets someone else who just happens to be the best man's son?

It is a B/C fic. I'm sorry if that disappoints you and I have lost some readers because of it. When I started writing I fully intended it to be B/E, but I'm really happy with how it ended up.

See, here's the thing. I totally see Bella's side here. Edward was flirting and being all dazzling to her non-stop. She didn't know he was "faking it" which I don't buy into completely - he stopped because he couldn't go through with it. But she just had her heart broken, she was drinking and to her, he had been sweet and there and a chance to escape. She just didn't have the energy to fight it anymore and gave in, whether that was what she really wanted or not.
But I also see how Carlisle can't see that. It'll take time, but if you're not getting Edward and Bella together, then there had better be at least one happy couple, lol.
This is one of the first times I have really disliked Edward, which I kinda thank you for. Because if I liked him, then I'd be super pissed this wasn't a B/E story.
Good Chapter. No matter how long you write them, they never seem long enough.

I can see everyone's side and it sucks lol! Well, Edward I'm not too fond of right now, but I hope under all the anger and assholism (hehe my new made up word of the day) that there really is a good guy. I think issues need to be resolved between father and son before either of them can move on to other things. Carlisle with Bella - and there's still issues there - and Edward with....whoever. I've had soo many people beg me not to have him end up with Tanya, which surprised me since she's not really a character in the story, just a mere mention. I guess some can't separate the Tanya from Twilight and the one that may be in here.

As much as it may shock you. I don't completly hate Kate. Because in a way, she was just doing what was best for her. She gave Carlisle the choice, she didn't force the baby onto him and didn't go behind his back and take him away, she put him in front of her needs when in the end she knew her marriage wouldn't survive it. I look at her the same as I would look at any woman who put her baby up for adoption. Whether it was easy or hard, I can't judge them. Some woman just aren't meant to be mothers - some don't want to - and I'm grateful they at least go through the pregnancy to give them a life, because it'd be much easier on them emotionally and physically to just abort.
Yes, she's a bitch. And I don't like her because of that and how she spoke to Edward. But I think if you wrote her side honestly - at least how I see it - she wouldn't be that cold. Her harshness is a result of bitterness towards herself, not Edward or Carlisle. Because you can tell by the way she talked about him and the way her eyes softened and for just a moment, she reassured Edward he was wanted - if not by her - that it isn't them she blames.
That's my thoughts, anyways.
As much as I love B/E stories and the only real reason I'm reading this is because you tricked me into thinking it was (lol), I'm okay with it.

I actually agree with you. She really did the best thing possible by Edward by walking away. She knew she wasn't the type of person to be a mother and would resent the child if she kept him. Would having a mother around that was only there out of obligation have been better for Edward? Not at all.
But I do hate her for the way she spoke to him; the things she said to him. They were horrible and I think she could have handled it better if she wanted to. But then again, maybe she said what she did to make sure she pushed him away so he wouldn't come back. Only she knows.
And I'm sorry about the tricking...or maybe not because I have you hooked lol. I'm glad you've enjoyed the journey even though it wasn't what you were expecting
