There's not much to understand in this story because it's all to be taken lightly. Rose was mad at first because of the way Emmett had acted with Bella and she wanted him to be sorry for it. The simple fact that Emmett would find himself at the mercy of Rosalie and not able to be in control is enough of a vengeance for her, and if he had been a bad lover she wouldn't have given him permission to get his release. But hell, don't you think he deserved to be rewarded after all?

I send her the translation of the equivalent of one chapter in French (which becomes 2 chapters in English) every other week, and she returns it to me when she's done with the editing. It's never on a regular basis, no matter if I send her my chapters on a regular schedule. For instance, I sent her chapter 19 and 20 this past week and she went through chapter 19 but she doesn't know when she'll have time to go through chapter 20. It can take a little while before she sends it back to me, but hopefully before Halloween since this next chapter is a little creepy.

Like I said, reviews started to drop before the updates went fewer and far between, and since it's a vicious circle, it's hard to find the motivation again, and also since it is a story of my own and I have other translations that I do of stories from other people, I put my priority into translating their stories, not mine. I update the French translation of People like us every week, the rest of the time I work on 5 other translations. But if I have time to translate only one story during a week, it is only natural that I will translate the one that gets the more reviews, it's how human works...

Jack skidded to a halt in the hallway at the top of the stairs. He looked between his parents curiously, not quite sure what to make of them standing so close to each other. He walked over to his mother's side and looked up at his father.
"Is everything okay here, Mom?" he asked Bella, while never taking his eyes off of Edward.
Bella suppressed a giggle at Jack's attempt at bravado. She placed a hand on her son's shoulder, which caused him to look up at her. She smiled at him and nodded.
"Everything is just fine, Jack. We were just about to head outside."
