I totally disagree with Jasper. He had no right to do that! And Edward, who is supposed to be alpha now, shouldn't let anyone sway his instincts to protect his mate, whom both E&J know has always been shunned & abused by the pack.
If E&B are to be good leaders, then they need to put up & keep a united front always! Edward NEEDS to lay the law down & let it be known that any mistreatment or disrespect towards his mate will NOT be tolerated. As long as he continues to hang back & let Bella defend herself, the less she'll feel loved, accepted, or welcome - not only by Edward, but the entire pack. Hell, she already feels unwelcome as it is! She'll want to leave, if this keeps up, & I can't say I'd blame her. Edward can defend his mate without weakening her position. Show her that he cares & that she belongs...that things are going to be different now.
