I was so excited when I got up this morning and saw it had been updated :D I love how Bella looked after herself with James, and seeing Carlisle and Edward talking about Bella like she wasn't even there about her safety was very funny. Okay, that chapter had me laughing so hard. I knew James couldn't be all gentlemanly. Glad you didn't disappoint and made him a slimy human too. I'm glad both Edward and Carlisle showed up. It made it that much better in the long run.
When Bella was going to kill James my first thought was of Alice and Jasper. I was so happy Alice got there in time and stopped Bella. Have we seen the last of James? He still has Edward's hanky.
I'm afraid to know exactly what is wrong with Alice. Is she sick? Does she have the Spanish Flu? That would totally suck.
Loved the chapter and can't wait for the next.

OK so as a human James was less then a gentleman also..
I had to laugh over her remembering the scenes from the movie so she knew how to 'attack James.
So i was thinking James still has Bella's handkief with Edwards intinal on it so that maybe touble i mean if he wants revenage. I mean yes he thinks her name is Jane Smith but it said EAM i don't know maybe it's nothing to worry about but if James the human is anything like James the vampire he won't give up and having that he may found out who he is .... alright putting to much thought into it .. but still makes me uneasy that he has that.....
And now on to Alice, did she have a vision she isn't telling Bella about i wonder? And omg i am so glad she stopped Bella cuz i didn't even think about what would happen to Alice if James died in the past.. See so much can be changed by the simplest things and mess a lot of stuff up..
Glad Carlisle and Edward actually bonded a bit.......cuz Carlisle thinking these bad things about Edward is pissing me off.......First accuses him of beating Bella (well to Bella ) and then thinks Edward would let Bella go to the alley by herself.... come on....... he is just looking for the worse in Edward because he can't get over his feelings for Bella...(um yuck he is like a Dad to her) ... OK so anyways can't wait for next chapter ....... really good...hopefullly Edward is in it a bit more.........

I'm thinking Bella beating up James changed his future just enough to keep him from getting changed into a vampire...If that's so, Alice is going to disappear.
I have a few theories in my head of how this will end, and I would be happy with any of them, though I know my favorite...I have faith that there won't be total heartbreak at the end. If James never becomes a vampire, I have faith that Bella will persuade Carlisle to change Alice.
Actually, I think Bella will be explaining everything to Carlisle very soon, maybe even in the next chapter...

Alice was turned in the 1920s, according to Twilight... but a specific date is not given. So it's POSSIBLE that James could be human in 1918 and still have time to be changed, go through his year of newborn-craziness, and become the tracker we hate who goes after Alice. Canon is silent when it comes to how/when James is changed.

Ok first love this story but am i missing something? Cuz this story is a lot about Bella and trying to save Edward then it is Edward actually being in it....SO i wasn't sure if i was missing a important part in the story.. Carlisle is almost in it more then him... So anyways with that being said I loved this chapter.....Alice is really there don't know how or why but she is there........ don't know if that will mess anything up either but still Now Bella isn't so alone anymore and she is OK with Bella keeping Edward from turning I was really surprised at that...... glad she didn't make Bella feel guilty like she said if Edward had the choice he would choice to live a life as a human.. i think too.I am just worried about Bella working in the hospital what if she is so focused on making sure Edward is OK and gets out and she gets sick before she can. I mean she will be working at the hospital i am sure tons of nurses and doctors got sick from the sick patient with this. I don't know getting ahead of myself ... anyways loved the kiss and hopefully Edward isn't in to much trouble with his dad.. lol.... Now Bella and us know what is going on with Edward in the present so that is good.. but i bet Edward is freaking out now if he got Alice's message and comes home to find alice gone or in a coma state and not being able to find Bella either.. UGH confusing but u know what i mean.. I bet if Bella was to go back home if things didn't work out i bet vampire Edward would be waiting for her.... One more questions does Bella not think of human Edward and Vampire Edward as the same because she told Edward he never hurt her and he did .. not human Edward but Vamp Edward.. and i am always surprised she is never upset or sad over her vampire Edward leaving her.....when she is with human Edward... ok rambling.....

You're not missing anything... Bella is trying to save Edward, but she think she needs to basically seduce him, so that he'll run away with her out of the city before the influenza outbreak hits. The problem is, Edward has been raised conservatively, so he's trying to respect her and not take advantage of her. So, every time she makes progress with him, he feels all guilty and pulls away. More on that in the next chapter... :-)
As for her working in the hospital, Bella knows that the second wave of the influenza outbreak hits in the fall... and she plans to have Edward out of the city by then. We'll see if she succeeds...
Can't comment on what's going on in the future/present... but you'll find out by the end of the story.
When it comes to human Edward/vamp Edward, Bella does see them as the same person... but different. It's weird for her because she knows in her head they are the same person, and in a lot of ways they act the same... but in a lot of ways they're different. Still, when she's with him, it's like at the end of New Moon when she says the hole in her chest is gone, like it was never there. Having Edward with her heals the pain of him leaving her. Hope that makes sense. She also understands that human Edward hasn't ever hurt her... since they're in the past and he hasn't yet. She seems to be able to separate them that way.
I know it's confusing! LoL! Hope that clears things up a little anyway!

Absolutely love your story! I have made it almost halfway through what you have done so far and have to force myself to put it down to get something else done. You writing is so vivid and descriptive, and the emotions really let you feel the characters. Plus I love this version of Edward and Bella. I have read other stories where Bella goes back in time and they always jump in each others arms way to fast to be real. I mean while we all would like to believe in love at first sight, we know that is not reality. Not for a truely meaningful relationship. This story is so much more realistic and yet holds true to their images created in the book. Fantastic job! Keep up the good work!

OMG this i think by far was my favorite chapter......I loved the part where she was trying to show some leg and knocked his fork over LMAO .. then when she was at the track meet and those two guys.....oh loved it and she got some too cuz he got to see the fan girls and she was jealous too......lol.
Then after that Hal and AL ...(LOL) made it perfect I love jealous , possessive Edward yum............ hot and then at the party ..omg he was very hot........ the way he was yelling and then pushing her up to the house.......the sorry and then attacking her lips......HOT.. then grabbing her waist and kissing again and then in typical you fashion u had to make Edward throw up .....(LOL)

So, when I clicked the link for this chapter, it occurred to me that I hadn't read the chapter before this one. I know, I didn't comment, but , Carlisle showed up at the march....I'm thinking like Edward and Eleanor...he likes her. And now Alice is there! With a damn bow in her hair?!? I can't wait for her to meet Edward! But what about the Alice of 1918? I know she's in Mississippi somewhere, but won't her being there mess up the space time continum? Well, what I found was they often ordered them out of catalogs (like Sears & Roebuck). You could probably buy them at the drug store as well... but whether they'd be out in the open I don't know, since they're kind of "sensitive items"... and Bella didn't want to ask the pharmacist.
Oh, and Bella's on a mission to test that self-control! ;-)
