This is most definatley dark, but handled extremely well. When the "darkness" starts to creep up on you, that's the time to add something lighter. Like Esme pulling Edward out of the room callin him by 3 names! Such a mother thing to do and only we can give it that extra umph when our kids hear it! It would make no sense if Isabella adjusted smoothly and swiftly; her road is bound to have setbacks. Follow your instincts. They haven't failed you yet!

Superb! Not only did you give us the event itself from within Jasper's mind, but the emotional upheaval that they have gone through in the past. In a weird way, Alice's reactions through the years and Jasper's feelings about them remind me of my own childhood. My mother didn't believe in hitting me. But when I saw just how disappointed she was in me at various times for various things, it was like being stabbed, shot and hung....all at once. Her disappointment was worse than any physical injury that anyone could have inflicted! That's Jasper with Alice. I'm looking forward to Part 4. I just hope someone remembers to tell Jasper that Bella always understood and never blamed him. Insome ways, I think that very reaction may have helped him more than anything anyone's said or done before. Great stuff! This story is "Mind candy"!

Truly touching. It's good to see that Bella hasn't shut down completely. Her allowing a bond to devel;op between herself and Garrett is a sign. (Even if, and especially if he is in her thoughts a substitute for Emmett!) Her feelings about Charlie show the same thing. Bella is healing, and Garrett may be more than helping while Edward's contin ued distance and commitment do the same. I loved it!!

Seriously, your Emmett is so smart and so calculating and so down right cold he gives me the creeps and willys all at once! Bravo for that, because even Stephen King can't accomplish that! The last line here is the ultimate: " I win." That alone describes his mindset. For almost ayear he has had the engagement ring Edward planned to give Bella locked in a safe - a sort of physical trophy he can take out and measure himself by. After all, everything else he has done can only be felt or suffered through. The ring is tangible. Amazing! And as I said, the ultimate in scary. (A compliment of the highest order.)

He's tough, protective, but a true gentleman inside. He hates that he frightened Bella. She could have been met calmly, easily,and gently but you did so-o much better! Kudos!!

Even over Christmas when she didn't have any studying to do, I still didn't get much help and she always wanted to spend the weekends shopping or going to movies with me. I'm certainly not going to turn down any opportunity that she picks me to spend time with over friends.lol!

Absolutley stunning! I love this piece so much! My family has been to Salem several times and I have read the histories of that judicial travesty. Let me just say that you, in this work, have done the spirits and memory of those lost there proud! You present an almost overwhelming amount of supposed evidence - just as justices centuries ago received. You however go forth and prove the true wrongs done not only to the victims but the accused as well. If only they had seen so clearly centuries ago! Thank you for placing the past in the hands of the present and future generations so a long ago wrong might be remembered a nd the lessons learned then be brought forward. Kudos on a job well done!
