After Renee and Phil die in a car accident on Bella’s 17th birthday. She is sent to live with her father, Charlie and brother, James in Forks WA after being separated for 10 years with no contact. Charlie dabbles in training and placement of the “perfect” wife for exclusive clientele. Bella quickly learns that she’s going that she’s going to get more than a high school education. I'm glad you turned that around real quick, because if Edward reverted I don't honestly think I could finish the story. I can breathe a sigh of relief now. I was so excited to read that I didn't even pay attention to the a/n at the beginning. Carlisle makes me...sick. Hopefully he's dealt with soon.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm terribly disappointed. I feel the first 11 chapters focused so much on the abuse that it over-shadowed the rest of the story. I'm disappointed that it took Edward so long to turn his ways around, yet when he finally did we don't get to experience it. I don't feel like this is a happy ending. Edward never truly did pay for what he did, and a guilty conscience does not redeem him. The ending feels very rushed for me.
In no way is this meant to bash you. I think you are truly an amazing writer and I respect you for sticking to your guns. I guess I'm just sad because this did not turn out the way I expected it to.

Check out my response on the forums for more info. This story was my first attempt at writing and needless to say I've learned by trial and fire the right way and wrong way to write a story. The book version won't contain the first 11 chapters as they stand now. The abuse will be less sexual and more psychological and be condensed into maybe 3 or 4 chapters.
This 5 year period is intentionally left vague so the story has an ending, but the detail will be in the book. This was a compromise with publishing so I wouldn't have to pull the story (like other writers have done on ff when publishing). This way readers who don't want to purchase the book series have an ending and those who do get something for their money.
