Chapter 13 Preview………………..

I was nervous about going with Edward for Thanksgiving, to his parent’s house.  I got even more nervous when I found out it was Esme and Carlisle’s forty-ninth anniversary.  I knew we were celebrating a holiday and that I was being included by Edward’s parents because they thought him and I were in an exclusive relationship. 

We were kind of weren't we?

I felt compelled to buy them a gift for the anniversary.  I got a very nice pen set and got it for Carlisle, I have one just like it and I love it.  I had it engraved to read, ‘Dr. Carlisle Cullen’.  I got a huge gift basket full of lotions, creams, shower gels, body wash, body sprays, hand soaps, and candles for Esme.  Then for the both of them, I found a 1960 bottle of Chateau Petrus, Pomerol, France. 

I chose the 1960, because that was the year they were married.  The broker I used to purchase the bottle of wine, informed me that it was one of the better bottles of wine from that year.

Next Chapter Preview………………..

Upstairs, I see that Edward is still asleep, but has a worried look on his face.  I sit on the edge of the bed and trace my fingers along his side.  As soon as my skin touches his, I see the worry disappear from his face.  The connection that I feel to him is scary, and has weighed a lot on my mind.  I know that I love him, but look at what it is doing.  He is not safe, because of me.  I sigh and kiss his forehead, get up and head to the shower.

The hot water feels wonderful running over my skin.  It is nice to relax a little and let the tension run down the drain.  I hope that I can manage to stay calm and relaxed today.  I am so tired of being stressed out.  I am not sure I can handle much more of this.  I wash my hair and condition it, scrub my body with my loofa and favorite body wash.  Stepping out of the shower, I look up and see the sexiest man in the world. 

“Edward,” I say in a breathy tone.

“You look so beautiful, my love.”

“I look like a drowned rat,” I joke.

“You my love are the most breath taking rat, I have ever seen.  I want to lick the beads of water from your skin,” he says.

As Edward walks over to me, I can feel the gooseflesh travel across my skin where his eyes are roaming. 

“Edward, breakfast will be done in about twenty minutes.”

“Maybe what I want for breakfast, I cannot get from the kitchen.  Maybe what I want is wet and in front of me.”

Thank you for reading and reviewing my story.  The reviews truly do mean a lot to me.  Things with ‘A Sub Search,’ are coming to a close.  I would rather end this story, than drag it out and make it bad.  I know the SEX SCENES, and LEMONS are hot, but I wanted this story, to also having a meaningful message.  During the research parts of writing this story, I have found a truly deep appreciation for the BDSM lifestyle.  Not that I could ever practice in the lifestyle, I just personally can see why people choose to.  There are so many aspects of this lifestyle that most people, me included did not before realize.  The amount of trust, loyalty, care, and compassion that go into the actions between and Dom/Domme and their sub is one of the most solid things I have ever tried to explain.  I am still not sure that I have done a great job showing the side of a BDSM relationship, I wanted to show, but I am in no way ashamed of the way that I portrayed it either.  Things can happen, but the truth is most participants in the lifestyle are not romantically linked. That is one of the biggest reason’s I wanted Bella and Edward to have the drama of trying to have it all.  I know many of you hated Bella, and for a while…I did too.  I struggled trying to write parts of this story, for lack of personal knowledge and because I personally felt animosity toward Bella at points in the story.  There will be one more regular chapter, and then there will be a epilogue.  Thank you for remaining a loyal reader, and again thank you so MUCH for your reviews of my story.  The preview of the next chapter is of course subject to changes, during the BETA process.  My tense usage stinks, so it always has to be fixed.  Here is the teaser you were promised, and I hope that you enjoy the closure I am giving some of the characters in the coming chapter.

Chapter 17 pre-view.

I have been comfortable throughout the day, but I have been in Edward’s arms, most of the time.  After arriving at the hospital, Edward was immediately through the door.  So many people have come to the hospital today.  Esme, and Carlisle, both were here.  Edward begged me to allow his father to look over my medical chart, I of course agreed.  Carlisle, having privileges at Saint Lukes, demanded that I have a full CT scan.  He told me it was to ease his own piece of mind, as well as Edward’s.  Carlisle even checked and rechecked where the stiches were; to be sure they were up to par.  Edward has all, but refused to leave my side.  He only did, when I asked him to once, and when they refused to allow him in the room during the CT scan.  Of course the first time he was okay, because I was going to be with Esme.  The second time he allowed it, because I would be under Carlisle’s supervision. 

Esme surprised me the most.  She has always been so easy going and nice.  Today I saw what most people consider the momma bear factor, or I have heard the term wolverine as well.  Esme was bossing around the staff, like she was in charge.  She demanded that one of the nurses be removed from my care, because she was clearly inept, and to busy trying to get Edward’s attention.  It was almost amusing to watch and hear her.  I still can feel the warmth that passed through me, when I heard Esme tell the nurse.  ‘You clearly are more interested in trying to flirt with my son, than take care of my daughter.  Take your trampy ass out of this room.  I want your supervisor, now!’  Needless to say, that nurse never came back into my room.  I have never felt so loved in all my adult life.
