So nice to hear from these two! Glad to hear that they are moving forward but it sounds like the drama with Rosalie took an interesting twist. Hopefully Emmett can help her but I don't blame Edward for being skeptical. I like the idea of Edward getting the house in forks. It will almost bring them full circle. Although I wonder if it will be mixed for Bella thinking about what would have happened if she went to live with her dad when she was younger.

I was at that Twilight Convention in SF also. I was there on Saturday. I agree with you about Boo Boo. I was getting his autograph for a friend in Peru and he saw my Team Kermit shirt (I am a totally big muppets fan also) and thought it was so great he drew a sketch of it on the photo. I think this story is really cool. It's nice seeing a confident Bella for once and not one who is always putting herself down. Can't wait to see what comes next. I am also a big fan of Harry Potter and SW (I even have a jedi costume) so all the references are cool.

I just want to say that I think it is great that you put Tony Stark in the story. One of my best friends is a huge Ironman fan and even got me to go to the midnight show of Ironman 2 with him. Its also nice to see a Bella who is not totally insecure and freaking out all the time. I know she can handle Tony!

I appreciate that you included the section from Edward's point of view. It was nice to get confirmation that Bella is not in this alone. I do think that confident Bella needs to come out a play a bit more.

I liked the unique idea of this story. I watch Antique Roadshow on PBS and it is not a storyline I would have thought of. I wish you well with your writing.

Ah. Nice to see their happy ending but sorry to see them go.

It was interesting seeing Bella and Edward through their first "fight". The best part was that they learned to communicate better as a result. This will serve them well in the future. I look forward to hearing about the trip to Florida.

It was a great ending to the research season. The story of the grouper was amazing and I was glad that Bella had the chance to teach the team about other forms of ocean life. Just being a shark does not make you the top of the food chain. It was another great example of how they are growing as a team. And Bella is learning she has more she can contribute.

while life will change when they are off the boat, they all have a great foundation for their relationships going forward.

Nice to see all the relationships growing and changing. Although I wonder if Edward is a little jealous that everyone around him is getting some action and he is not, even if it was partly his choice. That must make it more tempting.

I live 5 min away from my parents and work with my mom, so I understand some of what Edward is going through. Somehow you think your parents will always be there, no matter how old you are. I am still looking for my Edward. One who loves sharks and other animals would be great.

Oh Alice, one step forward and two steps back... Looking forward to the next chapter.

Is the story going to end once Bella's internship is over?

I am sorry to see these guys go but I have really enjoyed the ride. It brought back a lot of memories of when I used to teach people about sea life. Thank you guys for helping to spread the work. To paraphrase finding nemo, sharks are friends, not food. That was a great story about them protesting the restaurant. It was also great getting a glimpse into the future for the misfits. I have never been through an engagement or wedding but I have always wondered why Weddings always become more about the family, rather than just the couple. I have never been one of those girls who think of their dream wedding. Maybe as Edward said, Bella was too nice to say no, this is not my dream, this is your dream. So I am glad they had the Belize trip. I can only imagine how crazy Alice's wedding will be. And the next generation of misfits is already here

There is going to be a shark lecture at my local zoo soon. I will think about Bella and Edward when I go. The world needs more people like them.

I love that while all their relationships are growing and changing, especially with everyone pairing off, it is still obvious that they will always be a family. Life would be boring if everything stayed the same. And each relationship has its own type of communication that works for the individuals involved.

Personally I think they will always return to the sea because it is a mission for them now, even if their lives grow to include other things, like kids. And a note to Rosalie, if Jane Goodall can have a kid in the middle of the african bush, I am sure there is a way to take care of one on a boat.

The dynamic among this groups is fascinating. It makes me want to smile most of the time but I am not sure I could take that level of teasing. However i know it's all in good fun. I am sure it's a bit different with the parents away, even if they are all technically adults. I don't think you ever grow up to your parents, no matter your age.

As for the work talk, my parents both worked from home when I was young and my sister and I had a rule that they couldn't talk about work at the dinner table. Not that it always worked but I can sympathize with the girls. However it probably doesn't feel like work to Edward. 

And Edward, you are surprised that lee guessed Bella's decision to stay but sating you wanted to build couple time into the schedule for next season was kind of a dead give away. But I appreciate how Bella and Edward wanted to get their parents blessing first.

i also want one of those tee-shirts that Alice made. You should think about making a fan fic shirt of it.

I wrote my whole review without realizing that TWCS had magically logged me out so I will try to remember what i had said. lol

From a shark rescue to a secret wedding to an even more secret nursery, this crew has been working hard lately but I know it is all in the spirit of family. I am glad that Lee got her perfect day. I can't wait to see Esme's reaction to the nursery. Hopefully after that Masen and Bella can have some time to themselves before the new season starts.

Speaking of sharks, I agree that it was great that Masen had so many people willing to help with the rescue. People don't think twice about jumping in if they see a stranded whale or dophin but a great white shark is a different story. It just goes to show how much minds are changing. And in some ways Dolphins, orcas and sharks occupy a similar role in the ocean, they just eat different things. We don't mind a dolphin eating a salmon, maybe because it doesn't have big brown eyes and a cute wiskered face. Or be a human. But just look at the statistics of how many people sharks kill vs how many sharks we kill and you will see who is winning this "war". But I know Bella and the rest are working to change minds.

I can't wait to hear about what is next for these guys.

I am glad to see Alice having a change of heart but I still feel her relationship with Bella is uneven. It will be nice to see her giving as much as she seems to take. But maybe when she relaxes, more of her personality will come out. The part with esme and Carlisle was a nice interlude. 

I had forgotten about the parrot. I was working at an aquarium when it came out so a bunch of us went to go see it. We were sitting in the theatre trying to figure out which parts of various sharks they had used to make the cgi sharks.

   I was interested to read in the latest chapter Alice's response to Jasper's story. At least she was being somewhat ractional about something. I also really liked Jasper's response of saying he was a survivor and not a victim. Having just come from Polar Bear country in Canada, it can make for some tough choices for those who live around large predators. We just need to get over the mindset that any animal that dares attack a human automatically needs to be killed, especially when half the time it was the human doing something stupid.

Was that incident with the seal and the boat inspired by what happened on air jaws? Of course they were in a slightly bigger boat. 

Alice has apparently not hit bottom yet so she is not ready to accept help. Hopefully she will one day. A life lived in fear is not fully lived.

As for masen and Bella, I am glad they got time to just be and enjoy themselves a bit. ;) That much stress is not good for anyone. I am in Hawaii right now so I will be on the lookout for sharks tomorrow when I am on the whale watching boat.

Alice's pov is umm interesting. I was stunned when she made that statement about how Edward couldn't be feeling too much for her sister since she had never witnessed him doing romantic things or them going on dates. Earth to Alice, not all romantic gestures have to be big and grand, or even cliche like flowers. Sometimes its the small things that can mean the most, especially when everyone is working and there is not much time. Living on a boat doesn't allow for a lot of space. Hey Alice, there is also plenty of their relationship you don't see. It's amazing to me that she still sees what she says as an innocent mistake. It's amazing how our own issues can cloud the way we see others. Think Alice, think...

  One theory about her not wanting Bella to change is first it would take Bella away from her, but maybe also seeing Bella change might force Alice to look at her own fears, something she doesn't want to do. Her confusion over why Bella would want to go back to the place where she got stung is prove. That can be one of the first steps in overcoming fear. In addition, Bella changing means that her relationship with Alice will change, and Alice doesn't seem to like that idea. Bella has usually gone along with Alice's ideas and now Bella is becoming her own person. Besides, it's not always the predators you have to watch out for.

  On a lighter note, it was great to see more of a glimpse into the relationships between the team. And then of course there is Bella and Edward exploring... poor Edward, those feelings just snuck up on you, so this is what it is like to be with someone you actually love... I am glad that Bella is going to keep talking to him about it. I hope he doesn't let his head get too much in the way.

P.S. I want to say that I appreciated the way you did the lime with out making it totally graphic. The style it was written fits well with the story. Not totally timid but not porno either. Not to say graphic is bad, but with these two, its more about the emotions.

That dive made me miss the water. I have not been diving in so long. Glad Bella was able to get back in the water. Gotta love those small sharks.

I remember that video of all the sharks feeding on the dead whale. I also agree that those people who climbed on it were idiots. But the footage was interesting. I agree that every researcher needs to decide what level of risk is acceptable for themselves. Every person for that matter. The scar game reminded me of the scene in jaws where they are drinking in the boat. At least this time there is no giant great white trying to sink them. As for Edward, he just learned a big lesson in relationships of all kinds. Glad he was able to come to his senses in time. Although I know the damage won't be fixed overnight. 

Is there a timeline you have in mind for the story? Will it just cover the summer? Just curious. Keep up the great work. Seeing update alerts always makes me smile.

Ah the joys and trials of being a part of a family, especially one that lives and works together. But Edward and Bella are now on a firm footing, enough so they can take it. Just keep your head high and give as good as you got. At least they were not naked.

It will be interesting to see what happens when they get back on the boat. 

I do believe Alice is trying but in my mind she still has a lot of growing up to do. But she is making a good start.

I'm glad gopher got to be the one to tag the shark. The fact that he didn't realize right away that he had done it was even more funny. And of course he had to get a sports reference in there with his Disneyland quote.

I also appreciated the Harry potter reference, especially since Edward does let his brain rule normally. But it sounded like at the end that he is finally getting it. Living and working together can be a challenge but I'm sure they are up for it. Especially if they don't have to share a closet. And Bella focusing on other marine life might help them view things differently.

Any rough idea of how many chapters are left?

I love the image of gopher trying to play tug a war with a large shark. It was quick thinking on everyone's parts and a pure demonstration of teamwork.

The fact that Bella's first reaction to the third shark was to keep taking pictures at first was great and it shows how far she has come. I am not sure I would not have panicked in her place. I have always wanted to see a large great white in the wild but not sure I want to be in the water with them. Especially inside something that smells like food to them. I got to see a baby gw at an aquarium a few years ago and that was a great experience. 

I also think it's great that Alice didn't totally panick. I thought that when there was a sign of trouble that she would but she is learning too. 

Edward's line of there being no such thing as a safe shark was important. As we say at work, anything with a mouth can bite, even something cute and fuzzy. Don't let size or looks fool you. Remember most animals don't have hands to explore with so they use their mouth instead.

This was a huge step for Bella and I can't wait to read the rest of the journey.

Having worked around animals that cause phobias in people, like sharks, snakes and spiders, I understand the difference between a fear and a true phobia, especially caused by a tramatic event. A true phobia you need to have respect for and is only over come by lots of hard work. Phobias are an instintual reaction and no amount of logic is going to overcome it. Just time and patience. I like Bella's thinking that while her fear will probably never go away, she knows how to manage it. And that makes all the difference.

Since Jacob was not there to see all her hard work, I can understand his shock over her transformation. But I wonder if part of his reaction is being jealous that Bella would be wiliing to put in all this work for Edward and not for him. However, not only was Edward better equiped to handle it, he got that Bella was doing the work not for him but for herself.

I understand wanting to protect your friends and family, but there comes a point where you say we are all adults and everyone is going to make their own choices. Besides, having an excuse to visit Hawaii regularly can't be all bad. Even if you do live in Florida.

On a last note, having worked around Giant Pacific Octopus, I agree that their intelligence and strength need to be respected but short lives are their curse. But they are fascinating to watch. I especially like how they can fold themselves up into really small spaces.

I agree that there have been a lot of changes but that is the nature of families. And just because their family is getting bigger, doesn't mean that any one person is less important. Bella had a great point about masen finally finding balance. But the wedding conversation showed he is still masen. 

I was working at an aquarium when spongebob came out and there was a lot of similar excitement about it. Although the octonaughts sound a lot more educational. I especially like the commentary the guys were providing. Lol My friend accuses me of doing the same thing with animal movies. 

And as for kids, if Jane Goodall can have a kid in the middle of the African bush, I am sure Edward and Bella can manage one on a boat. Although if they all start, they might have to get a bigger boat. That was well negotiated by Bella by the way.

Of course Tanya has to be represented by someone equally sleezy. I just like how you have Bella standing up for herself. Its a nice change from a lot of the stories where she is the old insecure, shy Bella. At this rate, she will make a find attorney. There should be a final courtroom show down between her and Jacob.

I think you did a good job with the various emotions. Those self esteem issues are tough ones to fight. They like to jump up and bite you in the butt. But I am glad to see Bella fighting through it and realizing when she needs help.

That was a nice ending. Glad to see the good girl does get her HEA.

I can imagine moving that far from home is tough but love inspires great courage. It reminds me a little of the story of Steve and Terri Irwin (minus the crocs of course). I look forward to hearing about the wedding.

With these two it was only a matter of time before they gave in. I'm surprised they made it two weeks. It's great how they can go from hot and sexy to sweet and loving so quickly. It means they have good balance. And that last bit Edward said, almost reminded me of wedding vows. I can't wait for the next chapter.

I am an sf native and still live here. Some ideas I have are a cable car ride, a sunset cruise on the bay and Edward will like our hands on science museum. There are also art museums and a natural history museum. There is also a nice conservatory of flowers in golden gate park that will remind them of the tropics. Let me know if you want specific ideas. Oh and then there is beach blanket babylon which is a show that spoofs current events using drag queens. 

It's a little ironic that Bella is finally enjoying her job when she is getting ready to quit. But she can still write. It sounds like she already has a good idea for a book. Sometimes you have to go where your heart leads. Congrats to rob and Paul.

Hang in there Bella. You can make it. You just have to keep yourself busy. It will be an interesting conversation between Edward and his dad. Both parties have to want it for it to work. I'm sure Victoria and the gang are not done making trouble, especially once they realize that Edward is back on the island. Maybe she will fall overboard and get eaten by sharks but the sharks probably have better taste than that. As Bella said, she is too plastic for them.

It is possible that it is Edwards son but it's also possible she is trying to make drama for him. There are still people out there who would love to mess up their life and I wouldn't put it past them to try something like this. The first thing I would demand is a DNA test. And it's not like he forced her to sleep with him. Here is where Bella has to stay strong. 

So sad to see it end but I am glad they got everything they wanted. They even got closure with Lauren. What you put out in the world eventually comes back to you.

Ahh, such a sweet ending! They do deserve it and now there will be a whole new generation of nerds for them to raise.

At least their ordeal is finally over and the healing can begin. And don't be too hard on Steve Edward, you owe him a debt now. It's just crazy that with all that effort about protection, they get kidnapped in broad daylight from a public place. But they didn't know they had so many familiar enemies. 

Sorry to hear about your mom. I will be sending good thoughts.

I just hope Edward is going to go all noble and sacrafice himself for Bella. But then Tanya doesn't have the smarts to survive two days on the run. I mean, even if they leave, what stops Edward from leaving her the minute that Bella is free? It doesn't sound well thought out Tanya.

Really awsome ending! Great story that started out intense and ended up sweet.

Glad to see that Edward is standing up for his girl and that Ben finally realizes he is being a jerk. It is one thing to be protective and helpful to your friends but everyone is adults and you don't have the right to make choices for them. Friends are supposed to support your chioices, even if they don't like them, unless of course it will cause you real harm. We all go through emotional things. That is not preventable.

They have some awkward conversations. No offense Anglea, but you need to let them get their shit together. I know she is trying to protect Bella but I already feel like they don't talk enough and her getting in the middle is not helping. Communication is the key to any good relationship. Bella was worried in the beginning that she would have no say in the possible ending of their relationship and now she is doing somewhat the same thing to him. They just need to start talking more.

Oh Edward, so much going on at once. I think it's ironic that he uses her age as a reason for her possibly messing up with the costume and yet she is always the one giving him advice. Hopefully Edward can get all the elements straightened out. But life rarely leaves you in peace.

They say your life changes when you have kids. I think Bella is finding that out. Its a good thing for their relationship when they realize that things are better when they are together.

As far as I see, Bella is already acting like a parent so hopefully when everything comes clean, she will already have a handle on that. And knowing Bella, she will make it clear she is not replacing their mom. I am sure Rosalie will be thrilled. lol The part about her helping with the art application was really sweet. So now we have the perfect date and the perfect wedding dress covered. Edward does not get to see it till the big day. Looking forward to hearing about their holiday trip.

Such a sweet vacation. Hopefully that guy at the roulet table was just a random perv and not a forshadowing of trouble. i have been in Vegas before and know there are always drunk, pervy guys around, especially with free alcohol in a casino. Hang in there Bella, only 49 more nights to go.

I think its interesting how Seth jumped to the idea that this was an affair where Edward was taking advtange of Bella, without asking Bella's thoughts about it. I can imagine that is what a lot of people will think. Hopefully Bella can work some magic on her family over christmas. Bella is proving that she can integrate all the aspects of her life. Nobody would question her giving up her career if she was a guy.

So glad to see these guys again. I hope things have settled down for you.

Sounds like things will get really interesting for this family after the holidays. I am glad Bella finally told Edward about her past. I think that the more they know about each other is better. It will help show they are serious and Edward can't be surprised by Bella's family bringing stuff up.

As for Rosalie, all i have to say is don't you just love teenagers. But I like that she is declaring a truce for the holidays. I think it would be good for her to have a talk with Bella about what issues she has with her. Maybe when everything goes public and Rosalie realizes Bella is not leaving. Of course it could just make things worse. Now on to Edwards pov.

She said yes! As for Esme, if you are a true friend you support your friends even when you don't agree with their decisions. Plus Edward is their family. Hopefully they will work it out in time. Glad Bella is going to be ok.

I guess the reason there are so many frogs is to make the princes more special. But in high school everything feels like the end of the world. I agree with waiting till they grow up more before trying to pick one, although that doesn't always work. Some just never grow up.

Nothing like finally getting some grown up time when you are surrounded by kids, even if it's only for a few minutes. Thanksgiving will be most interesting.

Hopefully Edward gets his birthday wish!
