I bet Heidi wants Bella's help with Maggie. Either that or she wants to thank her for helping Maggie. I have been there before as a step mother. My step daughters' mother asked for my help when she was a teenager. I told her I would try but I was just her fathers wife so I wasn't sure she would really listen to me. We were very cordial. It helps when all parties involved work together.

I'm sure the gossip was expected especially when hey had lunch together on her second day in her new job. Maggie's really growing up, she was upset and lashed out at the first person she saw. A few months ago she would have done the same thing then stormed off, blamed anyone but herself and then sulked about her punishment. This time she's apologised and accepted her punishment without complaint.

So finally I said enough I no longer speak to her don't write her buy her gifts nothing. I just encourage him to call her but all that finally hurt their relationship.

Yeah, it's definitely a difficult situation all around. And unfortunately, I think a lot of time the relationship between the new girlfriend or boyfriend and the kids can be really difficult. In this case, Maggie and Bella will eventually grow to care about each other, it's just going to take some time, and a lot of patience on Bella's part.

No worries about the mix up with the name, several people did that. We're used to Tanya being awful. It was fun to write her as a nice character though. And yes, the trip to the sex shop was great for both E&B. They desperately needed it!

Damn, what a great chapter. At first I was snarling and growling at what a bitch Tanya was being, and then like you said in your notes, 'Karma got her.' I feel so, so bad for Maggie; she did not deserve to hear about her mother like that. Edward will have his work cut out for him, as far as helping his daughter through this. It has to make him feel better knowing that Bella will be there to support him in what ever way she can, and of course that she loves him. I love your story and characters so much! xoxo Kelly

So glad you liked the chapter. I know you corrected yourself in a later review, but yes, Heidi, not Tanya. :) Karma did get her though.
It's good that Maggie knows the truth, but that was a really rough way for her to find out. Edward is going to have his work cut out for him, but in the long run it will be good for all three of them. Edward having Bella's support will be a huge help.

Generally speaking, Edward is quite mature, but unfortunately Heidi brings out the worst in all of them. Bella just is lucky enough that this is her first real encounter with Heidi. Thanks for the review.

Well crap, my theory about it being Heidi was wrong. I only thought about Pat briefly, but then dismissed it. Edward and Bella sure dodged a bullet there. I still think that Heidi knows; I'll bet that Maggie mentioned Bella's name at some point. If she doesn't know yet, I'm sure she will soon enough. Romantic Edward strikes again, couples massages was a really sweet, and thoughtful idea. Oh, and how could I forget the beautiful diamond earrings he got her for her birthday? That's quite the gift to give to a girlfriend of only a couple of weeks. I think Edward might be thinking along the sames lines that Bella is as far as 'Love' is concerned. ;) xoxo Kelly

That's okay, most people thought it was Heidi, too. Heidi knowing definitely would have been worse than Pat. So glad you liked the couples' massages and the diamond earrings. He is quite the romantic. The earrings are a big gesture, but he's feeling pretty smitten. And yeah, they're both definitely headed in the same direction about their freelings for each other.

Well, Bella won't start her new job for a few more weeks. Edward will meet her parents in the next chapter though. It'll be a while before we get to Bella's other colleague's reactions to the relationship, but it is coming.

It as been an eventful last few chapters, hasn't it? Yeah, Bella was bound to hit that breaking point eventually and all things considered, she did really well for a long time.
Glad you liked that Edward was there for her and put her first. Now that she's getting to know Bella, Maggie's going to be a whole lot more understanding about things. I think you'll like the trip to Silverton. Remember E&B are in Portland, Oregon, and her parents live an hour South of there in Silverton. They aren't in Forks, WA!

Fantastic chapter. I was beginning to think this relationship was becoming very one-sided with Bella doing all the giving and Edward taking but I think this conversation may have redressed that imbalance, provided he's true to his word.
