Oh, Edward broke my heart in this chap. It took this God aweful tragedy for him to finally realize, come to terms and admit that he's in love with Bella. He's not fighting it anymore. He even admitted to Jess and Lauren's family that he's married to Bella. He's not hiding from it now. I hope, when Bella wakes up, Edward tells her exactly how he feels and let's her make the decisions on her own. And.... Good Lord, you can see where Lauren got her 'personalitly' from. I knew that inspector that wouldn't take her to her parents crash site was working for someone that he went to call. I thought to was Aro but clearly it was Jane. But I don't know if Jane is working with Aro on this or is doing it on her own at this point. Jane and maybe Aro killed Bellaas parents. This was planned out this far back. Jane knew where Bella was going because she got the information form the Mediterranean man in the bar, who was Demetri, her ex-husband. He was able to tell her that Edward was going to meet Bella in Italy, where she was visiting the site of her parents' accident, which is a matter of public record - all she had to do was google the where they died.

You definetly know how to create cliff hanger. Who would have thought, that this chapter ends sooo dramatically. Hopefully Edward is in time to save Bella (and perhaps hear her confession, which she didn't thought but spoke).
I wouldn't be suprised, if Jane/Jenny bribed the police to deny Bellas request to go see the accident place, just to "help" Bella. Thankfully Bella didn't tell her the whole truth, although Jane knows now a little bit more about Edward and Bella.
