I actually think that Bella isn't upset ENOUGH and Rose is letting Emmett off way too easy. The entire foundation of their relationships was a challenge to mistreat them--yes, them. Jasper may not have bet against Alice directly and nor did Emmett against Rose, but their complicity speaks to their opinion of women in general. The fact that they called it off means little. A good man would never dream of doing such a thiing in the first place.

Okay, Rose needs to go to the deepest, darkest recesses of HELL and stay there! I'm sorry, they dealt with this inappropriately. Edward deserved the opportunity to tell Bella all of this himself. Any friend who can't look at situation objectively and deal with it in a way that puts your feelings before their own...is NOT a friend! This chapter makes me angry and upset, with all parties. if the boys just learnt to keep the fucking mouths shut for once in their lives none of this would happen. Why the hell would you bring it up, the bet was finished drop the fucking story, its dead and finished, why keep talking about it. It was like the writing on the wall, I knew someone would over hear the loud mouths.
Now not only have they wrecked their own relationship they have put Edwards and Bella's in jeopardy. This is what I don't get. We all know that Alice and Rose will forgive their men in the end and then Edward and Bella will suffer, because she cant trust him any more so they break up while the others move on with their relationship and watch their friends in pain. When all four could have kept their mouths shut.
I understand why the girls told Bella, I would want to know as well. But we know 99% of the time, it is Bella and Edward that suffer and Alice, Jasper, Rose and Emmett survive, when they are just as much to blame for opening their big mouths.
It a lose/lose situation... good luck doing something different then everyone else, but I have a feeling that it will be those two nor moving in, then breaking up, and then we will have about 5 chapter of cry, cry, feel sorry for me, and then one of their friends will find a way to get them talking and it will be all fixed but with the hurt still there.
Lets see if you prove me wrong. Not saying Edward should be let off the hook, but it would be nice to see them talk it out, yes a bit of grovelling but no break up and the move as planned.

I'm glad that Bella is being rational here. So many times in fanfiction when something goes wrong Bella shuts out the world and cuts Edward out completely. I'm also glad that she kicked Rose and Alice out. I think Alice is good but Rose is one big ball of hormonal angry out for blood.

I think there is really only 2 solutions. Sell the house so no owns it or all 3 of them own it together. so it is a retreat for 6 of them. Either way no one has the upper hand and gained from the possiblitity of the bet. It became a none issue once they called it off. They found out they really loved the girls and wanted nothing to do with the bet. This they could explain. The girls might be a little upset, but it would not end a relationship. They all knew what kind of guy Edward use to be and they all know he has changed. I think the party house retreat for the 6 of them is the best idea. They could even take them there and explain they situation while there.

I think Edward needs to talk to Bella about Jessica. It will be one of the final steps of finallyl getting over her. Plus it will help her understand why he was the way he was for so many years. Then when the gang gets back together in NY, they all should get together with Jessica and Riley to celebrate Jasper's new job. This way Edward will know he is finally over her and ready to commit 100% to Bella. He will have closure and peace of mind. Jasper will also have it knowing that everyone gets along. Rose will be a great mom because she is such a great friend. She takes care of those she loves. Emmett is loves her and will love and support her through the pregnancy. I see them eventually getting married once they realize that that they are getting married because they love each and the baby is the outward sign of their love. Rose and Emmett are perfect for each other. She is high scrung and he is laid back. They will be living together before she is have way through this pregnacy because he wants to take care of her and Rose realizes that it is ok to be pampered when you are tired and your feet are swollen at the end of the day.
