Loved how Bella put Jacob in his place. So, either it's a third party attacker or Jacob hired someone because he's going to go under financially because of the divorce. He's too much of a pussy to do it himself.

I read that chapter over at ff.net and I thought you did an amazing job.  No I don't think Edward was being too overbearing.  I thought Bella was being a bitch at the end.  All Edward wants is for Bella to be safe and not go to the beach alone.  But NO she can't do that, she has to argue.   She seems to be a really ungreatful girlfriend.  First it was his money and now this, how does she know that's it's an isolated incident? I think Jake had a part in Leah's attack, because at the hospital he seemed like he really didn't want to be there, and it looked like he got defensive when the cops asked to talk to him. 

Yeah probably Jacob hired Jimmy to beat up Leah......Edward is right to go all caveman!

Just started your story this weekend. So far I'm here. At first I was thinking maybe there's a creepy James (the guy at the store, the car down the road from the shop that followed them, her room ransacked), but after dinner, with the cufflinks and the pen, I'm thinking maybe it's connected to the Cullen family, when I add in Edward's car... I'll be continuing this story when I have time. ANd I found it through the fictionators btw

very good jumping to conclusions leads to more heartache in a relationship... getting to the root of a issje to crucial...  good for Alice, Rose and Jazz... way to go with the chapter... Hey Bella the amount of  money in his trust can easily be gobbled up in the real estate market, so lok at it that way... yes it's alot but not over the top..when your frugal and econimical!!!  Loved the chapter...

Well, I don't think Bella should get that worked up over 750K. Honestly, one beach house in southern CA and that trust fund is history (if it even pays for a "cottage".)

The criticism of the TW books often dwells on the fact that Bella has to "change" for HIM. But honestly, I've always interpreted the text that it's more about your quote listed above. HE can't change. If they are going to achieve the above statement, then she has to change. It's all about compromise. I really liked that part of this chapter.

I was worried we were about to take a "melodramatic/soap opera-ish" turn, but I thought this was a great chapter.

When are we gonna find out who messed up the paint on E's car?
