I really like this story, too. I don't know how you're writing two at the same time.!
I do have some confusion that maybe you could clear up. I wasn't sure of some things and when I went back into the story I still couldn't quite get my answers, so...
Bella was in Phoenix for 6 years. Leah is 5. Bella mentions that Em came and helped her after Jacob was murdered. She also mentions that Em was there in Jacob's place when Leah was born. Also, Rose has made Jacob's garage prosper after her purchase, but that seems like it would take longer than 6 months to buy and be successful. That had me wondering about the timeline of Jacob's actual death.
DOES ALL THAT MEAN JACOB WAS KILLED BEFORE LEAH WAS BORN?
I assumed that the tragic event that has made Leah stop speaking was seeing Jacob's murder, but if he died before she was born, then something else has happened that we are yet to find out? Hmm...

It was a really great start...I can´t wait to get more in depth and find out what happened to Jake and what triggered Leah´s silence...but you´ve definitely gotten my attention...great chapter!!!!
