I reread the chapter twice and did not spot any connections (except Bella's mother died in child birth and among everything else that was going on with Bella she might have been nervous). I love this version of Edward. It's somethign about him having a kid and being a cop (and he isn't a jerky cop, he's a nice cop). I'm intersted in learning about Edward's past.
Poor Bella. She was delt with rotten cards. At least she had a good support system around her to help her. Also love how the Edward's parents were helping her out when Edward didn't even know who she was.

I can't help but feel that something really awful must have happened to Leah, or Bella, or both of them while they were with douchbag, er, I mean James. I understand that just being taken can cause the kind of trauma Leah is going through, but her voluntary muteness makes me think even worse things occurred...I hope not! :(. I didn't realize that Leah never knew her father, poor Bella! I guess Leah's panic attack with Seth must have been because he was a strange man. I am wondering if her being comfortable with Edward is because he's a daddy and that makes him different than other men? or Is it because Edward looks like Anthony to her and she really likes Ant?
Loving this story...and, I feel better knowing I am not the only one that CAN'T hold a child and bend down to pick something up without being able to get back up before falling on my ass!

The hard part of understanding what Leah went through, is that she the fact that she doesn't talk about it. I wanted a story where is about more than just Edward and Bella, so Leah is a major role in this story, Anthony also has a role to play and I'm happy that peopel are generally enjoying the children's relationships.

I just found your story and love it. I understand Bella freaking out when she could not find Leah, but she should have been relieved when she say her. Leah was holding Edward's hand and was happy. This should have been a clue to Bella that everything was alright. Leah freaked out at Seth's touch earlier in the day. She also should have noticed that Emmett a police officer was calm. Bella is going to give herself a heart attack if she doesn't calm down. Her anxiety is not going to help Leah at all.

Oh sweet Jesus, I think I just had a sugar induced seizure!!! Could Edward get any sweeter?! How cute was it when he bathed Ant and the little boy rambled along and then got insecure about Leah wanting to be his friend!! Oi, and Ant already started with the matchmaking, huh?!?! ;D
But, Edward and Leah took it to a whole new level! How he instantly felt protective of her and wanted to make her smile all the time? He totally developed instant fatherly feelings for her! And he was sooo good with her! Without even knowing about her 'special situation' ( for a lack of better words ^^) he did everything right and until Emmet explains the whole situation to him (and ME!!!) he won´t even realize how big of a deal it actually was that she opened up to him like that!! Awww...and when Leah took his hand and later came back running to and hugging him??? Jeeeeez!!! ;D ;D ;D
I can understand why Bella reacted the way she did, but I bet she feels reaaaallllyyyyy sorry for that now!!! ;D How funny was Edward when Bella kept on jabbing him in the chest and he got turned on by it?! But I would say that that´s more due to the character traits of the kids?! But both parents are really protective of their kids! And that´s exactly how it´s supposed to be!^^
Hmmm...I wonder if Ant and Leah end up in the same class at school?! Oh, and I bet, Esme is so gonna join Ant and Emmet playing matchmaker...^^
Aaaaand.. -I can´t belive that Carlisle would set Edward up with Lauren!!! I bet there will be an encaounter with her and Bella later on! Maybe even Mike (and Jessica) too ?!?! Lauren is sooo gonna turn green when she sees that Edward and Bella get along just fine... ;D

Hmm, differnce in Edward and Anthony's relationship compared to Bella and Leah's? I don't think Bella loves Leah any less/more than Edward does Anthony...they both seem like loving parents that would do anything for their child, but there is a huge difference in Anthony and Leah. It seems that while Leah is traumatized and not speaking, Anthony is happy and loved. However, that last line makes me think that Edward is worried about either something happening to Anthony or something that did happen to him before he got him at six months (both in regards to something that Anthony's birth bitch may/did do). There is a huge difference in Edward and Bella too. Bella is broken and while Edward may have been hurt (again, by the birth bitch), he doesn't seem broken, just yearning for something more.

aww those two are sweet as hell. i like where this story is going and I love even more that Edward is a daddy. lol keep up the great work. I only have one suggestion, and that's on the writing itself. could you put a bigger space when you are changing from one scene to the next? like when Edward was on his way home from hanging with Emmett to him coming home from work. I kind of got a little lost when he said i'm left on my way home and then he said when I arrived home and he called for his mom and Anthony. It took a couple of minutes for me to see the scene changed because I thought Anthony was with him when he left Emmetts and now he's calling for him? so long story short if you could place a bigger space to let dorky people like me know the scene is changing that would be great otherwise the story is terrific. :) thanks again bye

I have to tell you i have really enjoyed the story and am looking forward to the next chapter but i am curious was leah alive and did she know her dad? in one sentence it seems as if he wasn't there while she was born: he was even there with me when Leah was born in place of Jake whispering of how proud he was and how much he loved us.
then again leah is not talking because of the drama of losing her dad. Just so I can understand the story can you clarify . i really an loving the story and can't wait for the next chapter

Ok when i say that i love this story it is an understatment.I can't wait to read more and find out why leah doesn't talk,being a parent myself i can understand how much it kills you to see your child in pain and feel helpless.I loved Emmett being there for them so sweet .Iam so sad for bella's loss i hope a new town will help her and leah heal .You are a very talented person both of your stories i have read so far have blown me away .I can't wait to get deeper into this and find out more.
