I think poor Bella will always struggle with her self-image and her ability to be loved to some extent. After enduring such horrid abuse, it's almost to be expected. Sure, she gets stronger over time, but I think there'll always be something niggling at her in the back of her mind every now and then.

this chapter was so well written, so very emotional i could have cried for bella when she describes the rape but therapy does seem to be helping her and her mind set is much more positive, edward is so patient, but what of emmett he is going to pieces?

Bella's story is a hard one, and the scarier thing is that she is fictional and there are so many girls out there with real horror stories. :(

that was shocking and sad that poor girl i hope she's not traumatised for life with what james did to her that was brutal and cruel shamefully cruel, at least bella get a measure of peace with edward and that has to bode well for the future,

I felt that Rose got a bum rap. We were all so conditioned to hate her, and then when I heard her story...I figured there was something more to it, and I felt really guilty for not liking her. I wanted to give her a chance to shine, and you'll see that in my stories, she's not really a bitch.
I love Rachelle Lefevre, so it's in honour of her that Victoria gets to be a good guy. :)

You can factor in the fact that James also told her that Emmett would leave if he ever found out. Bella was so vulnerable that she believed it. :(
I had to laugh at the mental picture of Emmett wearing the Jason mask and running around with an axe or a chainsaw. ;)

Poor Emmett gets a lot of flack in this story for letting James get away with it. He doesn't have much choice...if he could get his hands on James, he would destroy him in a heartbeat.
Emmett is a lot like my older brother, and I think that's why I love writing him so much. Mind you, my older brother isn't nearly as vulgar as Em can be. ;)

I hardly have words to express how wonderful this was. Yes, it was heartbreaking in many parts, but it was still wonderful. What i saw in it was the love of all the characters and how they came together. I cried; I laughed, and overall, I was moved beyond words.
