It's a shame, but many animals who have been abused are not given the time to recover before something like this happens and people clamor for them to be put down. It's the abuser who should be put down, not the animal!! It seems that Edward and Bella are getting closer, that she is also letting others in, and that's a good thing. Hearing about another horrific thing Charlie did to Peter just makes me want to bring him back to life and kill him all over again.....I hope Edward can save that poor dog....

Bella is bound to blame herself, as she did with Peter's abuse. The worst thing that they could do now is put that dog down. Bella would always feel responsible for his/her death. What the dog needs is another chance - like Edward gave Bella. What if he had given up on her too easily?

Court cases can be completely brutal and you did not go beyond belief in the way that the lawyer behaved. My Dad was a cop and when called to testify on a case, he ALWAYS had to keep his temper in check or else it could affect the case. It is not unheard of for a lawyer to question a child the way this one did Peter.

Peter is young, so I'm not surprised that he is recovering more quickly than Bella is. I love that Edward's parents got custody of them. It's like a link to both Edward's grandfather and him.
