I have had a love for reading and writing for as long as I can remember. Since sixth grade, I have filled notebooks and journals with short stories and poems. In college my friends used to poke fun at me because I actually signed up for Literature classes, that had nothing to do with my major, just because they sounded interesting. Reading has always been a hobby of mine. Some of my favorite writers include: Charles Dickens, Louisa May Alcott, Shakespeare, Lewis Carroll, Emily Dickinson, Edgar Allan Poe, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Walt Whitman, Mary Shelley, Wilson Rawls, Ian Fleming, Alfred Tennyson, Jane Austen, Harper Lee, Ralph Ellison, and Ken Follett.

A couple of years ago, several ladies I work with introduced me to Twilight. Originally, I had no desire to read it. In fact, I was pretty much sick of hearing about Twilight, even before I ever opened one of the books. However, I finally had enough and decided to borrow the books from one of the girls, so I could finally see what all the fuss was about. I read all four books in four days. By the time I was finished I loved two and hated two of them. But, I was hooked! Then, a friend of mine mentioned a community of writers who share stories based off of the characters in the book. It sounded interesting and after checking it out ... I was intrigued! And, as they say, the rest was history.

A year went by with me religiously visiting the website and day by day I became addicted to the wonderful stories; all the while my mind was creating plot lines and characters for stories of my own. Eventually, I shared some of my ideas with a friend and she encouraged me to put pen to paper. I was excited and flattered, especially when she offered to be my beta. Within a matter of hours the first chapter of my first story was written and Where There is Love ... There is Life was born.

This is my first attempt at writing on a fan fiction site, so it is a work in progress. With that being said, I humbly present my first attempt and hope that you find it to your liking.
