My ongoing story is 'Prelude in C'. It explores the beginning of Clan Cullen: the transition of Carlisle from an isolated man to the head of a family. It starts in 1918 and will end in about 1930 or so. It involves the dynamics between Carlisle, Edward and Esme, as they learn to trust and depend upon one another.

'Prelude in C' uses a lot of music to set mood, time and place. Since most people aren’t familiar with classical or early 1900's music, and I’m specifically pulling some rare pieces that Carlisle saw performed centuries ago in Europe in my time line, I thought perhaps I should offer links for at least the important pieces. From now on I’ll also add them to my A/N so you can listen while you read, if you so choose. I've listed links to the important pieces by chapter below.

My AMAZING beta, Coleen561, has created a beautiful banner for Prelude in C.

'Prelude in C' has won the Vampie Newborn Award for Bloody Brilliant (Best Overall) (1-50 reviews/chapter)! I'm so thrilled. I'd like to thank my wonderful beta, Coleen561, for all her help in keeping the story tight and clear, and my many readers and author-friends for all the support and votes. Some of my readers have been with me since I published Chapter 1, and their reviews and support have really kept me motivated to keep updating the story. Thank you all so much.

Last Fall 'Prelude in C' was nominated for two Avant Garde Awards, in the categories of Best Must Read and Best Carlisle. In addition, I was nominated in the category of Best New Author. 'Prelude' has also been nominated for Inspired Fan Fic Awards; 'Prelude' made it to the second round of voting. Thanks to everyone who nominated and voted.
