I am a "Mature" woman who admittedly is obsessed with Robert Pattinson and The Twilight Saga much to the chagrin of my family. Thankfully, they let me indulge in my favorite past time of reading twilight fan fiction stories.
I would love to be able to write like all these wonderful authors but haven't had enough talent or confidence to write. Maybe one day but for now, happy just to have the opportunity to read these incredible stories!

I'm guessing it was Laurent who found him. It seems that maybe Laurent was a guard against his will. Kinda join up or become a slave. He must have had to sacrifice his love or something traumatic. That's why he feltnhe had to help Edward et al. He still had his humanity left. Maybe seeking forgiveness in himself for what he had done.
I hope the baby survives. There is a high miscarriage rate but it's not 100% so there is still hope.
Poor Edward. Hoping he gets the help he so desperately needs and come around. I was pretty pissed at him but after this, my heart aches...him trying to be so strong for everyone else that he's forgotten to take care of himself. Maybe Bella will be his savior like he was everyone elses.

You smart girl! Yes, 'Louise' is with Delta :) She lives in an Atlanta suburb with her devoted hubby of 28 years, and her 2 beloved cats. She sings in her church choir; her faith runs deep. She could retire, but she loves people. As she couldn't have children, she 'mothers' her passengers, especially poor lost souls like Edward. She will never forget him, and does pray for him daily. Louise keeps a necklace... it's a bit like a rosary, except it is loaded with charms. She adds a new charm for every 'lost soul', and runs the necklace it through her fingers while she prays for them. She began with a bracelet, but her heart is too big, and her hubby replaced it with the necklace one year for Christmas. In her opinion, it's the best gift she ever received.
The charm that represents Edward is a chinese symbol for 'father', containing 2 tiny emeralds, one for each child, in the color of his eyes.
I hope to post a chapter every evening until the story is finished.

Bella sighed and smiled, her eyes closed and facing the sky, as the classical notes of Tchaicovsky's 1812 Overture swirled around the air. She felt Edward's hand gently begin to play with her hair and she bit her lip to stifle a sigh. He had been nothing short of amazing today and she didn't want their date to come to a close any time soon.
She opened her eyes and turned her face slightly to the left.
Edward's fingers still held onto a strand of hair as he smiled down at her.
"Enjoying the concert?" he asked, in a low husky voice. She smiled widely and nodded happily.

She watched her son carefully as he made his way downstairs, with Alice by his side. Something wasn't right. Sure, he was smiling and acting jovial, but there was something that was just off. Their gazes met and her worry increased exponentially. Jack's eyes were dull and missing his usual spark.
She pulled him quietly to the side and whispered in his ear.
"What's wrong, baby?"
He smiled genuinely at her and shook his head.
"Nothing, Mom. I'm just a little nervous."
She narrowed her eyes and nodded, although she wasn't convinced that he was telling the truth, but starting an argument right now wasn't really an option at the moment.

Now that she had fallen in adoration with the Cullen clan, she couldn't imagine leaving them. But on the same token, she couldn't imagine leaving her own family and friends behind. The questions whirled around like a tornado, forcing her to blink back tears at their sudden force. She felt a nudge and turned to Esme, who was smiling at her.
"Hey, no frowning," she half-whispered. "Try to enjoy the day, sweetie."
Bella shook her head and smiled sadly. "I'm sorry, Esme. Too many thoughts running around in my head. I don't know what I'm doing."
Esme laughed lightly. "Oh, sweetheart! None of us know what we're doing. Life's a dance that we learn as we go. Everything will work out for the best, you'll see."
"How can you be so sure, Esme? I can't see how this will end happily."
Bella sniffed and looked down at her plate.
"How can I not, Bella? Fate stepped in and brought you to love and keep Jack safe. Fate brought you and Jack back to us. I can't help but be hopeful for the future, especially knowing that my grandson is alive and safe and loved."

I had heard about this story but didn't have time to read it, (rl + so many others ). Finally got a chance & I haven't been able to stop. Been reading it straight through from last night until my eyes crossed & finished last two chapters this morning.
Fantastic job! I love how you are able to convey the emotions so realistically. A bit concerned that Jacob may be out for revenge & really scared that Tanya will do something as well since she has nothing to lose. If Jack is taken again, I fear for his sanity.

Bella's heart completely shattered as the listened to the distress in Jack's voice. In that moment, she could have committed murder and not thought twice about it. Victoria Preston deserved to be be sitting at the gates of Hades right now, waiting to have her soul judged. Bella kissed the top of Jack's head and rubbed his back.
"Ssh, baby. It's okay to be scared, but no one will let her hurt you. There's no force on Earth that will take you from us. Now that he has you back, your dad will move mountains to make sure you're safe, and you know that I would fight like hell for you. There's a very long line of people willing to stand between you and Victoria."

Have to say, I'm concerned! Hope Jenks finds the dirt on James & Bella tells Edward so Edward can take precautions to protect Jack & Bella.
Worried the outtake from Jack pov is not a dream & Victoria is going to take Jack again. She knows her dad wants nothing to do with her & she's probably out of money so perfect way to use her son. Really hope it's a nightmare Jack has been having.
Great chapter. I loved how Edward was watching Bella & Jack. Yes, hope victoria falls of a cliff....now!

"Thanks, Daddy," she whispered in his ear. Charlie grinned and reached out to shake Edward's hand.
"Edward, it was good to meet you, son. Take care of my family, you hear?"
Edward smiled sincerely. "With my life, Chief."
The two men exchanged a look and Charlie nodded, before looking at Jack and holding open his arms. The boy hugged his grandfather tightly.
"I'll see you soon, Pops! Tell Seth and Nana and Leah that I miss them!"
"I will, kiddo. I promise," Charlie responded, blinking away tears.

Aarrgghh! I loved this chapter yet I also was frustrated!! Why didn't Bella play the recording of Victoria to Edward & Charlie? They have to know exactly what she's capable of & her plans! Why can't Jenk's find out more about James? We all know he's involved? What makes Victoria think Edward would want her back??
Damn....I think Edward should pack his crap & take off with Bella & Jack and live happily ever after!!
I'm still worried about that Jack POV......it would harm Jack indescribably forever if it came true. He'd be scarred for life!!

Edward's hand squeezed her tightly as he pulled her towards the customer service department. The crowd was heavy with people and her heart pounded in her chest painfully. She pulled her hand away and started to push through the crowd, heading back towards where she last saw her son.
"Bella, wait!" Edward called, but she was too far gone in panic to listen.
She stopped for a minute and tried to think clearly. What would Jack most want to see in this store?
Immediately thinking of the answer, Bella tore off towards the escalators.

"No thanks," Bella responded. "I'm fine with my friend."
He looked over her shoulder and nodded in that direction. "Looks like she found someone else."
Sure enough, when she looked, Tanya was dancing with a blond young man. She shook her head and laughed before turning back to the man.

"Ah, come on. I'm alone and you're all by your self. What's the harm?"
"I think the lady declined your offer, pal," Edward spoke, sliding up against Bella from behind.

Excellent as always....I'm worried about your a/n. With Bella's bad feeling, Jack's outtake & James strange behavior, I afraid....very afraid. You don't know how much I wish that Jenks will come up with irrefutable proof that James was in cahoots with Victoria in Jack's initial disappearance and that nothing will separate Jack from Bella & Edward. Somehow, I think I'd better get myself prepped for some angst. Just hope it won't last too long!

Bella pocketed her iPhone and her hands curled into fists. The anger that she had experienced minutes earlier paled in comparison to the rage that coursed through her. The proof that James was a part of Jack's abandonment was black and white in front of her face. She fully planned on marching back into that office and tearing a new asshole into anyone who dared to get in her way. When the elevator reached the final floor, she was alone.
The doors opened and before she could step out, she found herself once again face to face with James Brooks. His eye widened in shock and her fist flew without thought. He swiftly caught her hand and pushed her back into the elevator with his body weight. "
What the hell are you doing?" he hissed angrily.
"You- you-" she stuttered. "You piece of shit! I'm not leaving here until I talk to Edward. I know who you are and what you did to Jack. You're a miserable excuse for a human being!" she shouted in her fury.
Quicker than she could blink, one of his forearms was pressed against her throat menacingly while the other hand gripped her by the hair.
"You couldn't just leave, could you?" he ground out. "No, you had to be Miss High-And-Mighty. From the first moment I laid eyes on you, I knew you'd be a challenge."

I'm so sad to see Parachute ending soon. It's been my baby for the past six months and I'm so thankful and grateful to each one onf you who has walked this journey with me! I'm not a big fan of angst or unnecessary drama, so our loose ends are starting to become tied up with Chapter 32. I only anticipate another 6 or so chapters before we're all finished. *sad face*

"Stop it!" Victoria whispered. "Unless you want to fucking die, then keep right on fighting me."
Bella ceased to move and felt Victoria's hands pulling at the knot in the rope around her wrists. "Why are you helping me?" she asked in confusion.
"I may be a shitty mother, but I'm not a killer, Bella. We've got to get out of here. He's come unhinged."
"Really, Vicki? Is that what you think of me?" James voice echoed throughout the room.
Victoria froze just as the knot slipped away and Bella felt her hands come loose. She fought the fire in her shoulders and kept her hands together so that James wouldn't realize that she was free. Victoria's ice blue eyes were large with fear as she turned to face her lover.

Thank goodness for security cameras!! Sad that Victoria had to die but I get it.
So.....the reason James & Victoria did all this was because James was jealous of Edward because he thought he treated Victoria badly, Victoria threatened Bella & made it seem she wanted Edward back all because they were afraid Jack was going to recognize James?
I noticed Edward didn't address the sole custody filing. Is it real or did James falsify it?

Jack bit his bottom lip and nodded resolutely. "I mean, I guess it sucks that she's dead, but does it make me a bad person being kinda happy about it?"

So so good. I can understand Jack's ambivalence re Victoria's death. He's being honest & I'm glad Bella acknowledge his feelings.
I can see why Edward feels he needs his own apt. when he moves Seattle but I wish they'd live together. Hopefully Edward will only do month to month or very short term.

"Then how is it? Why were you petitioning for custody if you're moving across the country? Or was that a lie?" she replied with a small sob, her body beginning to shake.

Loved it! Yes, the separation will be difficult but it's not forever and they can all use the time to get organized and settled. Still think Edward should move in with Jack and Bella. It does make more sense. Bella and Edward love each other and they love Jack. They're a family!!
Maybe the time apart will solidify in both of their minds that what they have is forever and Edward will propose!!
Great chapter as always! I understand why none of them wanted to attend V's funeral...she represented a dark place in all of their lives so there wasn't a reason to revisit it.

Parachute ~ Chapter 36 Teaser:
Bella stood, drenched head to toe, in the middle of her front lawn. Hot tears streamed down her face as the chilly rain pelted her skin. Her mouth was open slightly in shock, as she gazed down with wide eyes at the man she loved more than life itself. Edward's hopeful, joyous face grinned up at her from his stance on one knee. The ring held in his hand was a single brilliant diamond that was simple, yet elegant.
"Isabella Swan, I have been captivated by you since the moment I first laid eyes on you. That love only grew and expanded as I got to know you and saw first hand what a wonderful mother you are to our son. Forever could never be long enough for me, to feel like I've had long enough with you. Marry me?"
She covered her mouth and let out a sob, before throwing her arms around him and shouting, "Yes!"
They fell together, a mass a limbs and lips, their hearts beating both beating wildly. He pulled away slightly and pushed a lock of rain-saturated hair from her face.
"Let's go inside, please. I don't want you to catch a cold."
When they stood, his eyes were drawn to her white shirt, now completely plastered against her bare breasts, her nipples hard and straining against the fabric. His hand reached out to brush against her breast, causing her to become self conscious and cross her arms across her chest. She laughed lightly and nodded her head towards the house.
"Come on, let's get dry."
Edward let out a loud guffaw. "I'd rather keep you wet, love."
His hands wrapped around her waist and he pulled her back to his chest as they tumbled into the house. Sopping wet clothes soon littered the foyer floor and hands roamed greedily.
"Where is our bedroom?" he asked huskily, sweeping her into his arms.

I won't ever be remembered for my common sense. I know most of you hate me and I'm fine with that. I deserve it. I was a bad, bad girl. For those of you who don't know my story, I'll start at the beginning.
My mother married my father for his money and power. When she'd finally had enough, she left and took half of his net worth, including me. He never seemed to mind. He sent an obscenely large support check once a month, but it always felt like a buy-off. Once he re-married and began a family with his new wife, our interactions were even fewer. Who knows how I would have turned out if he had made more of an effort? He's just as much to blame for my upbringing as my mother is. He knew how she was, yet he still didn't lift a finger to keep me.

"Understood," he chuckled softly.
"I'm serious," she yawned. "Wait until your father gets home."
Jack gulped audibly and nodded. "I know."
Soon, Bella's breathing evened out and soft snores filled the air. Jack's heart clenched and he truly felt horrible for lashing out at his mother. He had no idea what made him say the things he had. She had never been anything but good to him and proved her love over and over again. The phone chirped next to him and he answered it quickly, not wanting to wake her up just yet.
"Hello?" he asked softly.
"JACKSON CHARLES CULLEN! What is wrong with you, boy? Why would say something like that to your mother?" his father's voice boomed from the phone's speaker.
"Shh, Dad, please quiet down," he replied in a hushed voice.
"Quiet down?" Edward yelled. "Are you seriously telling me to be quiet? Boy, have you lost your mind?"
"No, Dad, please," Jack whispered, "Mom is sleeping next to me."

Teaser from Rabbit Heart Chapter 1:
The streets were eerily empty as the girl stealthily slipped out of the Beverly Hills house, although one could quite easily exchange the term mansion in its stead. Her shoulders were hunched as she made sure her hood was firmly covering her blond hair, her back laden with only an over-stuffed backpack and a guitar case. She needed to escape quickly, unseen, and today was the best time to make that happen. It was just after eleven pm, on Christmas Eve and there was practically no movement on Santa Monica Boulevard. She traveled on foot for almost three miles before coming across a cab running on the desolate streets.
She quickly stowed her meager possessions in the backseat before climbing inside.
"The nearest Greyhound station, please," she requested as softly as she could, but still within the driver's hearing range.
The older man glanced at her in the rear view mirror. If he thought anything was off about the way she kept her face hidden, he made no mention of it.
"Heading home for the holiday, sweetie?"
"Something like that," she murmured, staring out of the window and watching the lights pass by. They reached their destination in just under fifteen minutes and she handed him a $50 bill.
One tragic night, the world changes for Edward and Bella Cullen. The life they've struggle to build over the last decade is threatened and Edward is left with nothing but his memories as he tries to will his love back to him. This couple has handled a decade of lifes bumps, but can they survive a fork in the road?

Wow...mea culpa Jacob. Sorry to have misjudged you. I kinda believe him as well! Maybe Tyler is the murderer? Sam would be a logical choice but somehow don't think so. It's always the quiet ones!
As for the pics, I'm thinking Jacob only had them in his room so he could study them like a crime pattern.
Good fake out! I actually have to wake up in 4 hours to take my family to Disneyland and should have gone to sleep hours ago but when I saw the update, I knew I had to read!

Seriously!?!? After all the precautions Garrett & company took, Sam & Phil were able to gut Alice & Rose that easily? I hope to high heavens that someone was watching the girls and saw what happened! Would find it had to believe nine of the boys, girls, Carlisle or Esme wouldn't have seen what was going on...even the papa would be following the girls.
