Right now I'm on hold with the IRS (the Internal Revenue Service which collects our taxes in the US) because I paid my taxes online using MY social security number, instead of my husband's - which was listed first on our tax return. Of course, they have NO record of my payment, so we just got a threatening letter in the mail.
