Hmmm... what do you want to know about me? Let's see,
I'm 31 years old and live in Baltimore MD, aka MobTown, aka Charm City. I moved here 5 years ago for a job and have really grown to love this dirty blue collar town. The only downsides are the high crime rate, the lack of state parks within 20 minutes drive from my house, and oh yeah, Johns Hopkins University undergrads who live in my neighborhood and make my life difficult. (Great place for graduate studies, or if you are going into music at Peabody Conservatory, but for the general undergrad experience, I prefer my small liberal arts school where we were expected to Think Independently and apply knowledge, not regurgitate bullshit for an exam.)
I work in molecular biology, doing research. My lab focuses on Retinoblastoma, a pediatric eye cancer. I really am a mad scientista!
I got turned onto this site and I adore reading all the stuff out there. Some of the writers here are really talented. However, it is my personal pet peeve that people don't use proper english and constantly misuse "your and you're; there, their, and they're; affect and effect," among many others. I'm more than happy to read for people and help work out the typos anytime. Just message me and we'll work it out.
I recently started writing my own story with a co-writer, Pheonix1855, and a side shot to the original story: Obsessed and Victims of Rage. Come check us out, I'm now totally addicted to reviews and it's made me review so much more than I ever used to.
I'm in an 9 year LTR with a great guy who puts up with all my shit, as well as all the hours I spend reading other people's work. I have a completely cracked sense of humor and absolutely no filter. It gets me in trouble but seems to amuse people.

Good chapter. I'm totally glad I'm not pregnant, nor are any of my friends. I remember having to deal with the mood swings and all when I was becoming an aunt, and I wasn't even that involved.
I'm curious about the call from Renee. It seems unlikely taht a simple convo with Charlie changed her whole outlook. Perhaps I'm just cynical, but I don't really trust it. I wouldn't forgive her either, at least not until she proved it. I'd love to see a POV from her or Charlie about it though. (Perhaps an outtake?) Just a thought.

It's very simple. You take the amount of macaronis that you usuall do and put them (unboiled) in a pot, then you add twice as much milk. Add some salt and then you boil it. But be careful and make sure to stir all the time because it gets easily stuck in the bottom if you don't! You boil it until it gets thick. Here in Sweden we add some ketchup on top, then it's ready to eat!

Well done on the chapter. I'm glad she's actually planning and taking real steps in her therapy and trying to communicate with her friends. I think it's also really good for her and Edward to see what Rose and Emmett are struggling with right now, so they have a better idea of what this will be like for them.
Nicely done on the Office sex. I've always wanted to do that, but as I work in a lab, and the BF is a stage hand, it's very difficult. Though we have messed around at his gigs in the past. Good memories...

Aren't you supposed to wait for the shower to see what you still need, or register somewhere so people can give you presents? But I'm sure there's still tons of things the baby will need, like it's own laundry service. They always seem to be leaking from one end or the other and messing their clothes.

They better get used to the interruptions, though I have heard of some babies who sleep straight through the night fairly quickly (a few weeks). Nice way to balance the godparents question. Will they all stand up during a service?
It's good that Bella's making progress with her therapy. I'm glad that the therapist made Bella see she has to conquer her fear to be a good parent, though saving her child may be a big enough motivator that she wouldn't even think of her phobia if Emily were in danger. But consciously trying to overcome it is a good plan.

Truly, I've been wondering how long it would be before Edward broke. Bella sticks her head in the sand and pretends things are normal when they're far from, but Edward has no basis of living in fear, of anything. He's never had to be afraid of anything really.
I am glad to hear that Bella's resistance at the beginning of the chapter was just reflex and that she knew it was a mistake to argue. Otherwise, I might have suggested she get a psych evaluation herself.
Interesting tidbits Jake has to share on the Kohn family. He's bright to watch out for his wife though. If it is Karen behind all this, since she's not been able to get to Bella, she may resort to other means. Trouble for everyone. I think all the Cullens need to be on the lookout.

Dominate is a verb, dominant is a noun or adjective. I'm sure you know that and it's just a typo, since you always seem to have that right. It's just a pet peeve of mine with other stories, where it is often misused.
Also later in the car: "all under the guilds of ‘it wasn’t me’." I think you meant 'guise' here, rather than guilds.
I hope you don't mind the edit notes, I just think this is such a great story, and would like to see your vision come across in the best way possible.

Bella was being ungracious about shopping. I agree with Edward, sometimes you do or accept things because it brings pleasure to someone you care for.
Jess is clearly crazy, and stupid. I think they're going to have to take a close look at Seth's collar for listening devices. Clearly Mike didn't tell Jess the real reason he wanted to listen in. I wonder what else is going on.
It seems that Karen was also a victim of the sick abuse James dealt out. I wonder how much Victoria knew. Could she be considered an accomplice?
Bella's going to resent lockdown, but perhaps if Edward appeals to logic and then points out how much worrying about her will affect his day to day routine, she'll be less obstinant. Of course, he could threaten her with bodyguards.
One other note; interest gets "piqued" not peaked. Just a little editing note.

I have a feeling that what's going on with Leah is a simple case of jealousy, that she's not the most important person in Bella's life anymore. It seems entirely selfish of her, if you ask me. But Leah is resisting and insulted that she's not number one in Bella's world anymore, despite that Bella isn't number one for her either.

I should have expected that she would have a nightmare, the trauma of having our home invaded was enough to unnerve me, I can only guess what memories it stirred in her. Removing my shirt that was full of tears and dirty from her nose I laid back down with her head on my chest. “We’ll change the locks tomorrow and figure out who it was, that will make you feel safer. It was just a dream Bella, I swear I would die before I let anyone hurt you.”
“Don’t say that!”
I wasn’t sure what she was talking about when she abruptly shot her head up to look at me. “I couldn’t stand it if something happened to you. I couldn’t take it”

Taking another drink of coffee I didn’t say anything, but that was twice now that something was not put on the calendar. The lunch with Jane yesterday- which I found out about accidentally - that was ultimately cancelled and now the waxing, I guess my submissive will have some explaining to do. So much in here to comment on! Emmett is definitely a trouble maker, though his heart is usually in the right place. Alice pisses me off for being a closet kinkster with a judgemental attitude. The things she and her "daddy" do together are just as far from "normal" (ie, vanilla) as any BDSM but she's just such a hypocrite about it. I could rant, but I won't, b/c I know you get it and are writing her that way for a reason.
Bella did such a great job with the can, and Edward's method of introducing her to it was fabulous. I'm so glad he gave her control over it. And the way he made her watch him swing was perfect. Half her fear was of the unknown, but if she could expect it, she could handle it. Beautiful job.
Sounds like Bella makes an impression with everyone she meets, be it a good one or bad. But the only people who seem to have negative views are those who covet Edward as a play partner (or more). Love her interactions with Demitri, and her appraisal of his art. It can be difficult to get honest opinions from people once they know you're the artist, but he seemed very appreciative of hers.
And yeah, Tanya is a bitch.But at least Bella won't be getting punished for any of the hullabaloo.

Leah went into the bathroom while Bella came around the corner into the kitchen. Our eyes met immediately as a warm smile engulfed her face. It was clear she had been crying and it took everything I had in me to remain in the chair and not run to comfort her. Sue looked up as she started putting food on the table then went over to hug Bella just as I wanted to. Bella nodded at whatever Sue was saying then left her go so she could say hello to her father.

I find the flow in this chapter very well done. It feels very natural and real, from how she talks him down to how she feels about her attack. The reason most victims of assualt don't report it is because of that self-preservation and shame. No one wants to say "I was brutally raped." Attacked, hurt, assualted, these words let us hide, a bit. I completely understand Bella's reasons for how things ended up.
Can't wait to see what goals she decides to set for herself.

Edward's reaction makes a lot more sense now. It's good to see things from his pov. I can see Bella's reasoning, to a point. All she wants is to be the best for her Master, but if she's always excelled at things (academically), and suddenly she's left without a clue of how to proceed, it can be very suanting to fo to the one person whose opinion you most value to admit what you may perceive as your own inadequacy. They both have a steep learning curve; Bella in being a submissive, and Edward in having a girlfriend, especially one who's also his sub. I'm sure they'll get there though.

Glad things are cleared up a bit for Jasper. It's good to have someone looking out for Bella, but not to look down on what they're doing together. And it was a good analogy to use, comparing it to Jasper's reenactments.
As for the talk with Carlisle, I can understand C's pov, in wanting his son to carry on tradition. But wouldn't he rather his son were happy? Perhaps he's always thought Edward was taking the coward's way out, afraid of failing, and that's why he's kept pushing. Maybe now it's clear for him? But I can't argue with Edward's reasoning.
Can't wait to hear what happened during Bella's busy day!

I have to wonder why Bella doesn't find another whole grain, high fiber cereal that actually tastes good. They make mini-wheats in flavors now. She should try some of those.
I think it's grand that other people want to explore New Moon, but I don't know how I would feel about taking them. In essence it involves vanilla friends in your sex life and can get really awkward. Though I may not object to my friends going, I certainly would not want to hang with them there, at least not anywhere upstairs. But that's just me. And I know Edward has family members in the scene, and friends as well, but I feel it's different when it's someone you know from the scene as opposed to someone who's just "trying it on."

I think the most important thing for me in this chapter was the insight Bella gained in allowing Esme to stand up for her, and that she had robbed Charlie of that for years. Maybe this will give her a chance to address some things with Charlie and clear the air, letting them both love each other in a more honest way appropriate to father and daughter. It may also let her rely more on Edward, to be her rock, and sometimes her pack mule. Sometimes we need a kick in the face to be shown that others will be there to catch our falls, or at least help us back up.
I think Edward obviously has a lot going on in his head regarding Bella's conversation with Jane, but he seems to be waiting until he has all the information before reacting, which is good. I just hope he doesn't overreact to something that should be a non-issue.

You did such a great job explaining Edward's motivations here, and how difficult it was for him to follow through with his plan. But it was successful, and I think they've taken a great step forward in their journey together. I was a bit surprised to see that Edward didn't understand Bella's resistance before she brought up James, but no one's perfect, not even him. But they both get it now, and I'm very glad for them.
I think this Chicago news could be both good and bad for Rose. While it will bring all those old wounds back into the light, it will also give her a chance to confront her attacker and get validation for what happened to her, if not from her parents then from the public. She could use that.

I'm so glad Bella was there for Rose. There's nothing like a fellow survivor who really understands. And Rose makes some excellent points, regarding it just being the wrong victim this time. Unfortunately, though justice it supposed to be blind, it rarely is. If you ever have any doubt, look at the prison system. And the fact of the matter is that money rules everything.
I'm not sure how to feel about Edward telling Bella's secret. True, Emmett needed to understand why she could be more help at that moment, but it's not Edward's stry to share. And Bella has enough issues with it already, and her shame about it, that I don't know if she would have told him herself. But I'm sure she'll get a chance to have her say when Edward reveals what's he's spilled.
Love that Bella was able to take down Emmett. I understand that he was pushing her harder in view of the new information he had, but she still has some PTSD reactions, and putting her back in that place was not a nice thing to do. I'm sure he would have freaked if Jasper or Edward had pushed Rose that way. But at least she showed him she's not a puppet he can intimidate.

I think I might actually have a crush on Charlie right now. First time I ever said that! He's a smart one. And who knows, maybe Bella gets her kink from him? Either way, love his parting shot, and the accepting but hands off approach to their sex life. I have to say, I agree with him about James. It's time. Get the DNA proof out of storage, run a parternity test for the poor teenager (I don't care if she did want to or not, she's not old enough to know what it meant, or the risks, as is evidenced by the kid. He probably got her in her sleep or something), and put the bastard in a cage where he can be abused and raped. (I hear child abusers and rapists almost always get attacked in prison)

Emmett needs a beating. He should have called Bella out like that, it wasn't his place to embarrass her that way. Can't blame Bella for sighing later, though it's good Edward followed through on the punishment. It's important for them both that he always is true to his word, be it punishment or reward.

I had a suspicion there was an evil bastard moment coming in this lesson.And boy, it does make you want to be mad at him, doesn't it? But after their car convo, and her defiant ownership of her orgasms, what choice did he really have but serious action? If you're going to be a sub, you have to give over that control. She knows that, in her head anyway. But you can't have your cake and eat it too. And she was stealing from him, in a way. Giving up control in name, but not in action. His harshness was necessary to lead her where she needed to go. Bella is a highly intellectual person, but also terribly stubborn. She can't be lead to an answer, she has to find it after vicious prompting and self reflection, which she doesn't do without good reason. So, I get it, why he did this. And as much as it seems cruel, I think she needed it. Good job.

I'm glad Bella is continuing on her goal of reconnecting with Charlie, and that you're showing that. It's important to her continued development, I think.
I understand Edward's desperation to keep her safe, and on "lockdown" so to speak. It seems the way has been paved a bit by Aro, but truly, he should have discussed things with her directly if he didn't want everyone else butting in. And he may have already done that and I'm forgetting. Totally possible. But I'm glad Bella stood up to his "pulling Dom" on her in a completely inappropriate setting. Alice needs to see that if she's going to cut her snark, and he shouldn't be doing things that way anyway.
I have to say how much I loved Jasper here. Logical, caring and empathetic to both sides... perfect.
Also, I might have a big old crush on Demitri right now. He's awesome. I do get the impression he was sizing things for her and trying out ideas for a ring for her.

Sounds like a really fun family day. Lots of good natured teasing and affections. I do love that Bella knocked Rose right out of that pity party and then Carlisle was able to snap Bella out of her freak out. Family gives you the reality check you need every now and again. And of course, Bella was victorious in the "Battle of the Bag." Love that Edward can never tease her about it again.

I love the easy going nature of their bet. They could use some levity right now, with all the drama going on elsewhere. Hawk is really pushy, and seems to have no sympathy at all for the victims of crimes. I would hate to have him as an officer assistime me, it would feel like a violation all over again.
I'm glad Edward agrees that Bella will get what she wants out of their wedding, rather than what Esme thinks it should be. It just reiterates how well he knows his girl.
And got to love Emmett's advice.

Alright, good to know I was on the right track, thinking Alice's mood swings were just too intense to be PMS. I have to wonder what else is triggering her craziness though. She's really an inconsiderate bitch at times.
I love that Leah is finally on board with their relationship. The sisterly teasing was really cute. And I'm sure that will take some pressure off Bella.
And Vinny is truly adorable. I love kids at that age... when they're well behaved anyway.
