I am always excited when I find a new worthy fic amongst the drivel when fic diving.  This looks quite interesting. I do hope Edward is not going to be dying (I suck at angst). I am already reading two fics with an Edward recovering from cancer and they are making me nervous. When I think testicular cancer I automatically think of Lance Armstrong. No matter what people may think of him personally, he has certainly highlighted both the struggle and the impact of the will on recovery. I will continue reading now.

Hi, there.  I find myself curiously drawn to these stories even when sometimes they squick me out a bit. I apologize for not having reviewed before now, but I just read these chapters pretty much straight through, and when I'm captivated, I find it quite difficult to stop and come up with a thoughtful review. I feel for Bella and her horribly abusive experience.  The fact that she is even willing to consider this kind of a relationship speaks volumes about the strength of her need.  It was probably one reason she was attracted to the asshole James to start with. Edward seems like a responsible guy and he certainly is making it his business to learn everything about her to avoid possible pitfalls.  That's good thinking since she is an abuse victim and is likely to still have PTSD triggers.

I do have a question.  I noticed that at one point you said you had a beta. Would you like to add a second.  I am a beta for several authors and have 10 years of part-time copy editing experience.  I learned to do this from my uncle who owned a string of small weekly newspapers in the Midwest.  I learned to do it before we had all these nice software programs to help---you had to actually know the words and if you didn't, well, you looked it up in a dictionary.  I know, unimaginable now. However, I'm the person who will catch what Spellcheck does not. You know, those words that are words but not used in the correct context; i.e., they're, there, their, lose, loose etc.

I am not trying to be a p.i.a. but you have quite a few typos; i.e., gitty should be giddy, it's Dominant not Dominate.  I would love to help you.  Let me know if you're interested.  I would be happy to go back from the beginning and correct all of the earlier chapters.
