I have to admit I hate pierogies, but I loved that scene, so I'm so glad you liked it too. There's been so much seriousness, I wanted to add some humor. I got such a kick picturing Edward scoop the pierogies out of the water with his bare hands. Kind of like how he had trouble watching Bella wrestle with a mountain lion in her first hunt in canon, she had trouble watching him do something like put his bare hand in boiling water.  But really, him using a slotted spoon or a spatula would be like using tongs to take an Oreo out of the tray, wouldn't it?  Why would he bother?

I liked the connection of the trees, like Bella's soul knew Edward was there even if she couldn't know it consciously.

I tried to add a little humor to break up all the heaviness and drama, so I'm glad you liked it!  The pack openly displays their "dislike" of the Cullens, calling them leeches, bloodsuckers, etc.  The Cullens don't show their animosity as much, at least not publicly, I think simply because being 100 or so years old, they're more mature, but among themselves I imagine they have a few select names for the pack as well.  I wanted to kind of show the rough surface beneath the polished facade, if you understand what I mean.  Its an odd paradox, being both 17 and 100ish.  I think you'd have characteristics of both.  I wanted to show the vampires as a little more human - pardon the pun!

I don't know about all along, but I think very recently her subconscious caught on.  The conscious mind has to battle through things like logic which the subconscious mind is free from.  She could accept the letters traveling between the two of them because she had concrete, or rather paper, proof in her hands.  I think she needed that same level of proof to accept that Edward really is her Edward. 

As for accepting....  She's only just laid eyes on the picture, she hasn't quite gotten around to anything beyond "He's alive.  He's here."  That'll come next.

Thank you for reading and reviewing. I left the ending open, so the reader could make up their mind what happens, but with time travel, you don't know how previous/future actions affect events.  I hope they find a way to be together forever.

Hmm, I've never read that story.  I'll have to go check it out!  Yeah, his letter was pretty sweet wasn't it?  As my other WIPs wrap up I'll start working on the other story again.  It might be a little while, but I promise, i really want Alice and Jasper to get their HEA.  :)  Thanks for the nice review!

That misunderstanding of "He's straight.  He'll never feel the same." is one of my favorite things with H/D, so I'm glad you're liking my take on it.  I've never written Lucius before; I usually kill him off rather than deal with him.  (Well, I killed him off this time, too . . .)  I see him as having been completely broken by the war, but I still picture the family unit as strong, not like it was portrayed in the movie, with Narcissa and Draco walking off and leaving Lucius to run after them.  I liked the book portrayal better.  Two things I was very disappointed with in the film were that Draco never got his brave moment in the Room of Requirement with Goyle and the Malfoy's weren't shown as they were in the book.
