Thanks for reading and reviewing His Cimmerian View.  The next chapter will be a great one for sure, but as a loyal reader and reviewer pointed out so far most of the chapters have been just that... a great one.  I know many of you are sick of Rose, and we assure you that there will be closure there soon.  There is not much redemption for a character like Rose, however there are things happening that will at least show that Emmett is not in fact an idiot who allows Rose to be poisonous to all.  Many of you are worried that the introduction of Mr. James Hunter will be a dangerous situation for Bella.  James Hunter has been in the story all along, and he is a very volatile person, and there will be more to come that involves him in the near future.  Alice is showing a bit of a change, but I think she knows she has made her final stand alongside of Rosalie.  Keep in mind within days of chapter 24 posting that Enduring His Cimmerian View will post and the first out-take to post will be Bella’s POV up to and through chapter 24.  We waited to give you Bella’s POV until Chapter 24 posted for a very good reason... sex.  Yep get out your big girl panties and prepare yourselves for that, because it is going to be posting on Thursday, the BPOV will post hopefully next Saturday.  There weren’t a lot of questions, but there is still some confusion.  Rose and Jasper are Esme’s niece and nephew, whom Esme and Carlisle were given guardianship of when they were around 10/12 respectfully.  Rose is older.  Edward’s mother is MIA, but for all accounts and purposes he believes she is still alive.  Bella’s birth mother was Renee who died of Cancer when Bella was 3.  Charlie is Bella’s birth father and he is dead.  Sue Swan was Charlie’s wife and Bella’s Step mother.  Harry Clearwater is Sue Swans brother, and tormentor of Bella.   We are excited to see your reviews from the next chapter as well as the BPOV that will post.  Kasi (&Nikky)

Chapter 24 teaser... subject to changes in the beta process.

I’m in the middle of teaching when my phone rings.  “Excuse me. Tia, please carry on for me.”  Tia gives me a smile and takes over from where I left off.  “Hello, Caius. I was just going to step into my office.  How can I help you?”

I hear some chatter in the background.  “Edward, I’m sorry for bothering you.  Everything here is a big clusterfuck right now.  I was just calling to give you an update on the Bree Tanner situation.  We’ve had three more ex-students come forward with allegations claiming that Mr. Hunter did similar things to them, so the state police have taken over the case.  I was one of the people they called in to assist, as they’re planning to speak to all of his ex-students. The officers got here yesterday and worked through last night and this morning.  They need to speak to you, as well.” I sigh, rubbing my face, even though I had already expected this information. “This looks really fucking big, Edward.  From what I’ve gathered, he targets a student in their junior year, mostly just degrading them at first. Then, when they enter their senior year, he starts to get physical with them at the same time he begins the process with another student.  The three girls that came forward were manipulated into sleeping with him.  Due to the fact they were all over eighteen at the time, they can’t get him for statutory rape, but are charging him with aggravated rape and extortion.” 

I pull at my hair, hoping that James gets a shitty lawyer. A good one could use this to their advantage. “What’s the bond amount he’s being held on?”

There is a loud sigh and a chill travels down my spine.  “Nothing. He was released pending charges after questioning.  The charges were just filed, so now the officers are on their way to pick him up again.”  We talk a little more about some other things before saying our goodbyes. 

The rest of the day passes in a blur. The State Police being here is making life more stressful than it already is.  Marcus sent in extra counselors and staff to help out with the backlash of shit that’s going on in Forks. 

By the end of the week another three ex-students have come forward claiming that Mr. Hunter forced them into physical relationships with him. A current student has also come forward to say he had just recently started verbally abusing her.

Well after this chapter how will we ever get better?  I hope that you trust me when I say, it will!  Many of you want Aro to get his hands on Uncle Harry before the police do.  I will not say who gets to Uncle Harry first; because well that would just ruin the surprise, but I will say this... his capture is already written, so feel free to speculate.  There are some seriously some great chapters coming up, but Nikky says I need to warn you all that some of them are rather drama and angst filled.  There also may or may not be a few cliffhangers in the near future, oh heck who am I kidding the next two chapters are rather cliffy in nature.  The next chapter has a big surprise within and MOST of you may be very shocked.  Nikky, Jess, and a few others who have already read the chapter during BETA processing seem to think that the next chapter may generate a lot more reviews.  We may even get some from people who have not reviewed before now, because it is quite a twist.   There is your warning.  Nikky and I have been called diabolical for the plot twist that is coming, so we sure hope you all like it.  I will say this out of all the readers and reviewers we have, only one time has someone guessed a good portion of the plot and got it right.  We of course didn’t tell them, because well then they would know it would ruin the story telling process.   We had a few question about Sienna’s ability to place a phone call since she is deaf.  Deaf people can make phone calls using a Telecommunication Device for the Deaf (TDD).  Special telephone services have been developed to carry the TDD functionality even further. In certain countries there are systems in place so that a deaf person can communicate with a hearing person on an ordinary voice phone using a human relay operator. There are also "carry-over" services, enabling people who can hear but cannot speak ("hearing carry-over," a.k.a. "HCO"), or people who cannot hear but are able to speak ("voice carry-over," a.k.a. Chapter 25 Teaser:
“Pajama day is when you stay in your pajamas all day and eat lots of bad stuff, watch movies, and play games all day long.”  Seth and Leah nod their heads at me and Bella gives me a small half nod with her smile.  “Okay then, pajama day it is in our house.  I just need to make a few phone calls. Why don’t you all get your robes and slippers on, and I’ll meet you for breakfast as soon as I am done.”  Seth and Leah hug me before walking out of the bathroom to get their slippers and robes.

After they leave the room, I look to see Bella biting her lip, and I know she’s worrying about something.  “I’m sorry that she wet the bed. She’s never done that before.”

I walk to Bella, wrapping my arms around her. “Baby, its okay. She’s upset, and her body is reacting to that, so don’t worry about it.” I kiss her head and push her hair out of her face.  I hiss as I see the large bruises that go all the way up one side of her face.  “Baby, how are you feeling? Are you in pain?”

She shrugs her shoulders and tries to give me a smile.  “I’m not sure. I...”  She stops and rubs her head.  “I feel like I failed them.  He hurt Seth, and I should’ve been able to protect him better.  I’m upset that it was Uncle Harry that broke into our apartment the other time.  I don’t understand why he did that, or what he was looking for.  How could he do that to Seth and Leah?  I mean, I know that he doesn’t really like me much, but they’re his sister’s children.  I thought he would love them.” 

Thanks again and again for reading and reviewing His Cimmerian View.  As the story comes closer to an end, it seems we have a lot of questions or comments that are geared toward answers already given in the story.  So we decided to give a little background to clear up the misconceptions and questions. 

Edward Masen: Father is dead, mother is bi-polar and left him in the care of Esme and Carlisle.  Mother is alive, but whereabouts are unknown.  Edward met ‘Tanya’ in college, they had a short affair and she left, after being caught in trying to get money from him.  Edward then shut down and treated all women as if they were not worth his time.  He refused to date or trust any women and he instead only was with a select few at Aro’s club, where he paid for sex.  Edward owns the restaurant where his parents used to take him to eat at, before his father died and his mother went off the deep end.  Edward is also one of the youngest English professors at UW. 

Bella Swan: Bella was born the child of single mother Renee Higbottom.  Renee met Charlie during one of his planned scams to get money.  Renee was very rich, as were her single father.  Charlie ended up impregnating Renee, but he was already married to Sue Clearwater.  Renee paid off Charlie and Sue to leave her and her child alone, but then subsequently died of breast cancer when Bella was three.  Renee’s father fought for custody, but grand-parents rights are not acknowledged in the state of Washington, therefore after Renee’s death the state went in search of Charlie Swan.  Once he was found Bella was placed in his and Sue’s care.  After Bella went to live with Charlie and Sue, she was treated iek a slave and was never allowed even normal things such as schooling, food, new clothes, and every other basic thing as parents we give our children without second thought.  Bella grew up starved for affection, so once she got to take care of the twins she gave all that affection she has been starving for to them.  Her love of the twins is unconditional as is their love for her.

I hope this helps answer a few questions and clears up a few things.  I’m not sure why, but we have several who think Sue is Bella’s real mother, and that is not the case at all. 

Thank you again so much for all the wonderful heartfelt reviews you all leave for us.  It is amazing to us that we have managed to instill such a deep devotion in our readers to our characters, and we are blown away by just how much emotion our readers feel for our characters.  I know that the character names belong to Stephenie Meyer, but these characters and the way they are in this story are in fact ours, she owns the names and appearance descriptions, but the attitude and demeanor and words are all ours.  Thanks, Kasi (& Nikky)

TEASER Chapter 28: Subject to changes during beta process.
I am so proud of Seth and Leah this past month has not been easy on them, but they have held their heads up high and got on with it.  There has been some name calling at school.  Now I know kids can be cruel but the things that they are saying, is coming from older mouths first.  Things no parent should be saying in front of their children.  Bella and I have addressed the school regarding the problems, but we’ve been brushed off like nothing is going on.  Mrs. Crown the principle said that people will talk.  She went on to point out that I was after all, Seth and Leah’s father, and I was shaking up with their big sister.  The way she said it, implied that Bella and I were doing something wrong.  After her rather rude little speech I called Caius and explained the whole thing to him.  To say that he was angry is putting it mildly.  He went as far as taking the principle in front of the school board, and she was put on a written warning.  Not only is her job and tenure in jeopardy, but her career as a whole is.  Since we have proof that she knowing let kids and adults harass the kids, she was warned that a lawsuit would be filed if the behavior continued.  Her biggest mistake was she was aware what the twin have been though these past five months, yet did nothing to help stop the harassment.

Caius informed me of another school that had room for more students.  It was little school that only had a little over one hundred students.  It went from kinder-garden to fifth grade and each class had mix of around fifteen children per classroom.  It was a private school, and ranked in the top ten of all schools in the state of Washington’s education program.  There was a sister school that managed the grades sixth through twelfth, also ranked in the top ten.   Both schools are quite prestigious and expensive, but cost is of no matter.  There are a few nice things the school is located close to where Esme and Carlisle live, but that also causes us transportation issues for to and from school.  Both Bella and I have talked about this and we all talked about it in family therapy.  Seth and Leah asked to just finish out this year of school where they are before deciding.  We agreed that this was the right choice for right now.

Well it seems that most everyone is happy that Sue is caught, but many of you are unhappy that she wasn’t tortured first by our dear Jane.  No worries our little Jane will eventually be paying Sue a visit.  Many seem to be worried that Sue will escape or get away; well rest assured that we have no intent on letting that fruit-loop free.  She is toast.  It seems that less people are disgruntled by Bella being pregnant, now that chapter 30 posted.  As the next few chapters post, I am thinking most if not all people will understand why Jess told us it was the perfect fit.  Nikky and I have added to but not really changed much of the original story-line.  I love when you all make suggestions and we’ve already written it into the story.  The next chapter has a few suggestions in it, that oddly enough were written before they were suggested.  I know that some of you are sad that this will be coming to a close, but there will be MANY – MANY more out-takes to come.  We actually discussed some future plotting things today and have a whole other out-take to add to the Enduring His Cimmerian View, in Edward’s POV to boot.  A lot of you want a Jane’s POV and well we have decided that it will be the next one released, do I hear the cheering already?  Yep... pretty sure I do... LOL.  We really want to say THANK YOU again and again, for reading, reviewing and loving this story so much... it has become a HUGE part of our lives and we both put a lot of work into it, as well as the wonderful group of gal’s we have keeping us from looking stupid.

Chapter 31 teaser, subject to changes during beta process.
Tomorrow we are scheduled to be in court.  Since it is the same day as my birthday, I have refused to do anything but celebrate us getting full custody of Seth and Leah.  I am thinking positive.  Bella has refused to let my twenty-ninth birthday go by without doing something.  Seth and Leah soon joined in and I lost the battle.  So tonight we are having a family dinner, and everyone is going to be here.  Bella decided that I should also receive my gifts tonight from everyone.

I watch her making sure everyone has drinks before she sits me in the middle of everyone.  Seth and Leah come up to me first.  Seth hands me small box, and Leah hands me two envelopes.  I open the envelopes first.  The first envelope contains a certificate for being the best dad, signed by both Seth and Leah.  The second envelope holds a homemade birthday card from them.  I whisper out an emotional thank you to them in their ears, before opening the box Seth gave me.

As I open the box, I see it’s a necklace.  It is platinum with dog-tag like disks of metal hanging from it.  The first tag says ‘Dad’.  I look at the next which says ‘Seth Masen’ on it as I turn it over I see the other side has his date of birth.  The next has ‘Leah Masen’ again the back has her date of birth.  The last tag is blank and I look up questioningly.

“It’s for when Bean’s born.”  I look up at Seth and Leah and pull them both in for a hug a kiss the heads.

“Thank you Little Man and Princess.” I watch them go back at sit down, after we share a few more hugs.

Thanks, Mart.  Bella is strong, very strong, but even the strongest person breaks down.  

This is what happened to me right before I left home for my surgery.  The silver lining that I have now is that I never have to wear a bra again.  That has been unbelievably freeing!  Ha!
