Yes it has been a very long time since the last update. What a wonderfully pleasant surprise to see another chapter. It is a very good chapter.
Bella Swan works as a nurse at Cook County Hospital in the ER. She's older and desperate for love. It's hindered by her shy personality and plump body. Her father, whom she lives with, teases her relentlessly for being fat and single.
Edward Cullen, thirty-three, is hired as a doctor in the ER. He's getting over a divorce. He moved to Chicago to be closer to his family: sister, Rosalie, and brother, Jasper. Rosalie is younger than Edward by ten years and is struggling with an eating disorder brought on by a heinous rape of her ex-boyfriend. Jasper, twenty-seven, is finishing up his doctorate in history.
Bella is charmed by this new doctor in the ER. He's kind and thinks about his patients and maintains a friendly rapport with the nurses and orderlies. Edward is intrigued by the sad nurse who does her job efficiently but doesn't have a sparkle in her eyes.
Will she allow Dr. Cullen into her life or will she let her insecurities get in the way of her happiness. Perhaps, Dr. Feelgood can write her a prescription. A prescription for love...

Wow the overall consensus is that Liz is a class ‘A’ number one royal bitch, and well we would have to agree. Some question how Jim could have been under the impression that Liz had told Bella. Liz and James had chosen to not tell everyone yet, but he thought that Liz would have at least told Bella. Isn’t ironic that James in our story is such a decent guy? There was some questions regarding Esme and Carlisle and if they will ever marry. Esme is against marriage and more on that will come into the story in later chapters. Don’t want to give away the farm, before the crops have time to grow. We hope that you all continue to love this story, thank for reading and reviewing. Kasi & (Jess)~

“Are you allowed to move around?”
“Yeah, but I don’t think I can walk,” she says with a groan.
“Here, let me help you. Don’t worry, you don’t have to walk.” I take her hand and I have her sit up with her legs hanging off the bed. She sighs at the different position. I climb on the bed and start to massage her back. She moans and sighs again as I move my hands over her bare back.
“Where did you learn this?” she asks with a moan and wince together.
“Am I hurting you?”
“No, the contractions are getting closer,” she says with ragged breath. “You’re making me feel better.”
“Edward taught me how to do this. Spring training took a toll on him,” I say quietly as I make small circles on her lower back.
“That’s nice,” she says with a groan as she sits up straight. “Get a doctor, I have to push.” I jump off the bed so fast that I feel like I’m running around with my head cut off. Before I can get to the door, the nurse I had been talking with comes in.
“Her contractions are really close,” she says to me as I nod.
“I was just coming to get someone. She says she needs to push,” I say as she nods.

A lot of you are worried that we will let Edward become a cheater and that he will step out on Bella, but let us assure you of one thing that this story will not have and that is Edward screwing someone else on the side. With that said, not everything will be peaches and cream all the time, they are still working out the learning curve of living together. They are also working on being together all the time at home, not out on the road traveling for games, and all that stuff. As for the marriage issue, between Bella and Edward – we are not saying that marriage will never happen – Bella is only 18, marriage just isn’t her priority. The next chapter is one of my favorite chapters so far, so many things happen and it really was fun to write. Hope you enjoy it too. Kasi & (Jess)~

“I am sure he was just worried about the game today. They need to win today to have a one and half game cushion going into the series with the Marlins. Not to mention a lot of publicity has circulated about the Marlin series, because it is the first time they will play against Whitlock.”

They shook hands. Rose went over to join Vicky and Bella, while I moved over to stand with Emmett.
“I usually hate these things but it is actually bearable with Bella here.”
“Yeah, Rose was so excited to get all dressed up. Alley helped her find a dress and I treated her to an afternoon at the hairdressers. You’d think I’d lassooed the moon, she was so grateful. She's not used to little luxuries but she’s going to have to get used to it ‘cos I plan on spoiling her as much as she'll let me. She’s the one Edward. I know it. I can’t move as fast as you have with Bella because of Rose's experiences with her abusive ex, but I can be patient. Believe me, if it were up to me we'd be on our honeymoon right now. I fucking love her.”
“That’s great man. I am truly happy for you. This ex of hers sounds like a nightmare. There’s no way he’s still a threat to her is he?”
“Well, threat of not. If he ever finds her he’ll have to come through me and I won’t hesitate to put that man down. Fucking pig, abusing a woman.”
“You ever need me, bro’ and I am there. Just say the word.”
“Thanks Ed. She’s my one and only from now on.” His eyes were bright and I realised he too had found his mate. Now all we had to do was find someone worthy of our Alice. I hate to see her alone.
“Edward?” My sweet girl was standing close and looking up at me. I loved it when she did that. “The girls and I are going to find a seat ready for the parade. Will I save a seat for you?”
“Sure, love. I’ll be along in a little while.” She walked off with the girls and as I watched her walk away from me I noticed how many men were watching her and checking her out. I must have growled louder than I thought as Emmett hit me in the arm.
“Settle down man. You’re in love with a beautiful woman. You better get used to other men looking at her but you’ve got nothing to worry about. That girl is the real deal. You have a winner there man.”
I nodded and smiled. “She’s my one and only too, Em.”

Leah was firing on all cylinders and it was a magnificent sight. I had doubted her when she said her nickname when she was younger was ‘Queen Bitch’, but now I could easily believe it as I watched her in full flight protecting her loved ones. Way to go Leah. I almost felt sorry for Whitlock… almost.
He stared at my Bella as Leah poked him in the chest. “They have no family except the loving friends you see around this room whose lives have all been enriched and blessed by knowing her. So finding family should’ve been a moment of joy for her and for Elizabeth but what do you do when you finally show up? Huh?”
He stepped back from the force of her chest pokes but Leah isn’t letting him get away that easy.
“You threaten to take her daughter from her, by the way something your idiot lawyer should know you can’t do. She is Lil Bit’s sister and now officially her mother through a completely legal and finalised adoption.
“We are not going to stand idly by while you and your idiot lawyer try to bully a nineteen year old into giving up her child. We are their family and we will protect them.”
