This story is so compelling and your last chapter was really riveting! I can hardly wait to see how you weite the battle royale - because I'm pretty sure Aro and Felix will just leave without a fight for Bella.

The plot and storyline were very compelling and the pacing is absolutely excellent. It moved very quickly from beginning to end without getting bogged down or caught up in fluff or filler. 

I really enjoy when writers do interesting things with their characterisations and you managed to make yours a good balance of bravery, strength with the added bonus of the mysterious intrigue of the noblesse.

The fight scenes were VERY well done with the skill of the swordplay and tactical maneuvers easy to picture -- as were your love scenes (of course) *winkwink*. 

The juxtaposition of modern mannerisms and speech alongside the customs, regalia and splendor of old world nobility was very entertaining! But my favorite part (other than their beautiful clothing, vestments and armour), was how you managed to keep the canon characters human while accessing and retaining their supernatural powers. It was completely brilliant how you managed to make it a battle of good vs evil based on a prophecy!

Since the chapters are short I try to save a few up before I read them to get a feel for the characters and some sense of storyline continuity. I am really enjoying Edward's devotion to Bella. He's so determined to see her through this and guide her out of her mind's trap.

I'm looking forward to seeing how they can possibly help her once Eleazar reveals her ability... Edward will somehow have to instruct her mentally somehow through her shielding. That should be interesting.

LOL That's so cute how she's trying to disprove his claim. I can just imagine her yanking on that branch!! It's not going to be as easy as how she "disproved" (by stubbornly doubting), his mind-reading and his ability to pass through the mantle or veil from reality to "comascape" where she currently resides... Too funny! 

Gosh, I hope she doesn't stroke out when she realizes his word vomit-y confession is, in fact, the truth.

So I'm placing this scene BEFORE Sir sends Bella to the spa for preparation, right? No wonder Tanya is so rude to her. A vampire Dom rejecting his vampire sub for a human replacement? (And then he collars Bella!!) Tanya must be just...grrr. I know I'd be furious. And heartbroken.

I didn't like that Edward was Tanya's Dom when he persued Bella but such is the Dom's prerogative. If he was dissatisfied with Tanya's unresponsiveness, then he finds what he needs elsewhere - in Bella. It's realistic and I appreciate that. 

I forgot to mention in past reviews that I loved how you introduced Edward in the workplace observing and admiring his 'handiwork' (Bella's obedience), asking her out, testing her resolve... It was VERY well done, but so sparse for the depth of emotion they must have both been feeling! Him, turned on and full of pride in her obedience and loyalty. Her, knowing she has the ability to be strong and faithful to her Sir. Even when the beautiful Edward Cullen persistently entices... Sigh. Will you be writing an EPOV of those office encounters? Please?

I am so happy for Isabella for dealing with her reticence in such a mature manner. She's much more accepting which in turn makes her stay in town less stressful. I'm enjoying how sweet-natured, demure (without coming off as coy or coquettish), and unaffected she has remained by the Cullen's daily doting on her. Especially how she feels so well-cared for and loved.

I think "The Cousin" is going to love her. --At least that is my fond wish!

It would seem that Charlie is enlisting Jacobs aid in discrediting Bella at her new school. Probably for payola from Paul's father. Hell, he's probably a crooked cop on top of being a psychopath. Ugh. I really hope they get theirs, in the most scandalous way possible, too.

I adore the way Edward protects Bella. (Jasper needs to be a little quicker on the uptake next time though. He had a deer-in-the-headlights moment there it seems.) 

Edward and company have MORE than enough evidence and information to launch half a dozen lawsuits!! I want to see them get it done...Swift and merciless like JUSTICE.

Oh, Emmett!!! I thought he was very diverting, myself. I would've been tempted to make some of the same quips and was waiting for him to pull out the fish-themed "knock knock" jokes! 

The same thing that occurred to me as to Bella about just writing the words they were translating... But then, what if she didn't know the proper name of the object or sea creature, etc? She'd still have to attempt a drawing probably. 

Ahh, romantic Edward...so sweet! (I kept hearing "Kiss the Girl" from The Little Mermaid in my head.) I'm truly hoping that things turn out well for them somehow. For the mermaids, as well. If vampires, werewolves and shapeshifters can stay hidden from humanity then so should they be left as nothing more than stories and legends.

Excellent update!!! I'm with Emmett; the wolves are a bunch of supercilious, entitled jerks. They need to back off a bit and see that Jake, Seth and Leah prevented a war and the attention of the Volturi! Everyone would have died. Big picture, Tribal Council.

Recording the action sequence was a stroke of brilliant.

Well, if anyone can relate to Bella being drawn to human blood and using her lure to entrance the man, it would be the Cullens. Considering that Bella is basically a newborn... They will understand that. Also, Bella was just reacting instinctively to intercept the shooter and protect her sister. Balthazar's minion was going to kill Kiera and set off a blood bath either way.

The siren song was beautiful. Very easy to picture Kiera singing it and fit the scene perfectly.

The love story of Siobhan and Aro was heartbreaking. What a travesty... And Aro not forgiving Marcus was understandable. It left me feeling melancholy for them all. They lost so much. Poor Charles never knew his father:( 

I hope that Bella PLUS Edward and the Cullens will be able to visit Italy! That would be really nice. Bella will get to know her grandmother's back story from Aro and also meet her remaining family members. 

I really enjoy reading these sweet characters so much. Regardless of the amount of their wealth or despite their suffering and loss, they're still kind and giving to others.

That nimrod Jake! Why would he even need Bella's help to begin with?? Was that his lame way of flirting? Jake's entire family is so strange. I mean, Leah is the normal one! (I got her HS dig about skanks going after your boyfriend, etc. Emily and Sam, right? LOL!) 

At least Bella hasn't felt compelled to be overtly 'nice' to anyone other than who she's supposed to be considerate of, like Edward (a supposed "victim") and Mrs. Goff (her elderly boss). She's not a doormat. Thanks for that!

I like how appreciative all these characters are. Edward is kind and generous but tries to stay positive and objective despite his attraction. His sweetness leaks through when the kids are involved. It's heartwarming to see him happy and the girls safe. (Well, for now anyway.) Even Jasper is straightening up a bit - thinking about Alice and taking their age difference into consideration. But these girls are very mature and responsible. I really hope it works out for them.

Sweet pics! Bella (like Edward), is nurturing and cares about Charlie's well-being first. She's attached to the baby and vice-versa...he'd probably go into decline again if they took his Baba away. But I get why it hurt her to hear Edward deny any attraction to her. 

But how Jasper will spin this is a mystery to me still. 

I think Tanya should be forced to stay in the house with the hungry/sick baby for a few. That'd fix everything, I'll bet.

It's so kind of Edward not to bad mouth Tanya at all, but will anyone ever realise she's not really involved or concerned about her child's welfare? He's a wonderful father but shouldn't he be more...I dunno, pissed, maybe? I guess he's just happy she's off being a shrew somewhere else.

I feel sorry for Tanya. I even understand her selfish reasoning. She can't see beyond herself. But this will turn out bad for her in so many ways. In front of witnesses (hopefully). I liked how caring, kind and classy he was with everyone - Charlie, Elizabeth, even the photographer - despite being furious, he was empathetic. 

Charlie, sick and freezing cold though he was, didn't suffer undue stress or trauma for very long. And they know that the situation was out of Alice's hands. She must have felt so helpless...

I hope that the blowout won't turn into a circus. But it probably will.

Great story! I love Daddyward kink because he's so protective and over the top possessive. Mouse was a cute nickname. 

Though I am a fan of St. Valentine's Day, I can see why some people think it's just a money-making crock of crap. In this case they turned it into an anniversary. That in itself is SOOO sweet.

Aww:(  It's heartbreaking that Edward is so alone and unhappy. 

There is NO way that Emmett is romantically interested in Bella. It just may be an agreement of convenience - she tutors and covers for him, he protects her. I mean, yeah, he's a teen so (of course) he'll take sex wherever he can get it, but Bella? In the first chapter he was so conceited and rude to the unpopular kids. He's too immature and doesn't take anything even halfway seriously. 

It seems that Bella's relatively poor, orphaned (and accident-prone), which def makes her a target for bullying. Even possibly blackmail/sexual harrassment from that jackwagon Newton (yuck). Emmett may see her as a little sister figure, that needs his protection? I'm really hoping that Emmett sees Bella as someone for Edward in the future when he's gone off to college. Maybe? *fingers crossed*

I feel sad that Bella is lying to Edward about being married. He's been nothing but kind, generous and attentive... Surely she's noted that he's only that way with her, right?? I know she's not that oblivious - she's a well-educated professional, for crimeny's sake! She's smart, is what I'm implying. Maybe her pregnancy brain is hindering her powers of observation...

I get why she'd think Edward's married to Jane, I'd have made the same assumption with the photo, Esme's chat and with Edward showing up everywhere with his sister-in-law. But she's straight up lying to him (by omission is still a lie), left and right. I just feel that the least she can do is take him into her confidence as a friend. She blurted out her life's woes to Jessica --her childhood-long bully-- at the first little sign of that bint's "compassion" at the hospital. Honestly, who is telling Emmett and Rosalie all of Bella's medical history, anyway? (HIPPAA might have something to say about that one.)

And Jasper gave her that huge clue about his brother-in-law --- and now with the blow up doll, JILL! Come. On. Bella. Think, girl!

(Can you tell I'm invested? I'm laughing at myself.)

I'm hoping somehow this will all come together when Jasper brings the subject of his poor friend Bella from Forks up to Edward in some capacity somehow. I mean, she and Jasper are pals now, right? And that'll probably be awesome when they or anyone connect the dots - whee!!! lol;)

This chapter was just fantastic! Really compelling and still difficult to read how much pain and suffering these poor people were put through. 

Obviously the entire family will need some form of counseling or therapy for various issues they are and will be dealing with for a long time to come. 

It was good that little Ethan's appointment went well and he's progressing. I would've cracked if they'd found anything concerning.

It’s understandable that Edward would conclude that Bella was there for Maggie and not some romantic interest in him. It was kind of jarring, like hitting the brakes suddenly. (I thought, “Oh, no! He’s gonna push her away in self defense”) But, thank goodness Bella can read him so well. She calls him on it. I thought that whole scene was so real for me. She understands him. 

She’s just what these two need. By extension, the whole family will benefit from Bella’s presence in their lives. 

I found that the overall feel of the last few chapters (underneath the self-recriminations) is a tempered hopefulness. I’m honestly relieved - whew!

I actually like that both Edward and Bella want to move their relationship forward (that was cute; Bella trying on his last name), and that they’re both respectful and sweet despite how much they’re drawn to one another. It’s nice. I can’t wait for their date on Friday!

I feel bad for Alice:( I was wondering why she seemed somewhat hard and bitter. I’m hoping she doesn’t hurt or alienate Bella over Edward. Jasper seems way more supportive of Edward than Alice is to Bella but I’m sure that’s only because she’s worried for her friend being too hasty and winding up badly hurt.

I know some people may think the pacing is slow (after the initial attack and transformation), but I think that it's more realistic as the Cullens are more in touch with their humanity and therefore "feel" more human feelings. Not exactly human, but close. Bella, being more recently transformed (yet having the 'control' power on her side), is just erratic enough - not out of control. Her halting confusion and Edward's nervous ambivalence strike the right chord for me. I hope their friendship becomes a bit warmer soon.
