Yes, this one was definitely up and down and all over the place. But that's how life really goes, no? They got closer both physically and emotionally in this chapter, even though both involved a bit of pain.
And Bella wants to tell him so much, but she knows her job and her instincts tell her it would be too much for him. That he'd hit the panic button and push her away at a time when he needs her more than ever. And she trusts those instincts. But maybe something will change her mind. ;)

Yes, this was scary one for sure, and one of the biggest hurdles for post-transplant patients. But he hung on, and things are getting better now. Christmas should be a happy affair. :)
