Yay, he's going to go for the treatment! Which can only mean one thing, more kleenex moments! So, there'll be plenty more traumatic chapters and the dreaded "chapter that broke you"! Nervous for that one. I'd just be happy with him getting better and getting back to the painting, let alone sex (that would be a total bonus!) Will be interested to hear about Bella's past, which I know you'll get to in your own sweet time ;). Thank you for not trying to tie up loose ends too fast, even when we put you under pressure for another chapter every five minutes. Enjoy your holiday!

Yes, this won't be easy, but at least he made the right decision and he had something worth fighting for! Hmm ... I wouldn't say plenty more, but there will be a few. And the chapter that broke me is coming up rather soon, but that one will have a warning, so you'll know not to read it at work. Edward has many things to get back to, and I'm going to thoroughly enjoy sharing them with you. Bella also has secrets to share yet. There is still a good bit of story to tell yet, and I promise most of the ends will be tied up by the time we get there. And it's nice to be in demand. ;)

Bloody Hell!!! I really thought you'd had a change of heart half way down and I pretty much stopped breathing myself! I've been reading avidly and "lurking" in the background since the off, and I said after chapter one that I was in it for the long haul but it's been tough reading Lady! I find it difficult witnessing and reading difficult and/or tragic circumstances in RL but with this story I'm like a scared child hiding behind a cushion but desperately wanting to know what happens next! I'm too invested to leave the story now, your writing is heartfelt and sensitive as ever. Lovely!

In the kitchen, Charlie busied himself making bacon and eggs. The first thing he'd done was close the curtain, but the skin on the back of his neck prickled nonetheless, like those creatures were out there, still able to see him through the window. He slammed the pan down on the burner. Billy and Harry had been right. Those creatures had been messing with his mind, and stupid as he was, he'd fallen for it. A pretty face, a little kindness, and he'd fallen for her tricks hook, line, and sinker. They'd been in cahoots. All of them. And they'd been after his son. All the attention that one had paid to him, all the stories they'd told him, all of it designed to knock him off his guard.
Well, that was over. He'd told them what he thought of them and that he wanted them to stay the hell away from his son and from him. That one, Tanya, had had the nerve to act devastated, clinging to that girl like she couldn't stand on her own.
