When The Twilight Never Comes

Could it be that some things are just meant to be?

Without Edward to save her, Bella is hit by Tyler's van and is taken to the hospital, barely alive. She is lucky enough to cross paths with Carlisle Cullen, a vampire doctor who saves her life.

Bella is in danger once again during a simple trip to Port Angeles and once again, there is no Edward in sight, but Jacob Black is all too happy to step in his place.

Carlisle is dangerously outnumbered when facing the three nomads, until a certain pair of golden-eyed vampires show up to help.

So where is Carlisle's family? Who is haunting his house? Is Jacob Black really gay? Is Sam a drug-dealer? And who is responsible for turning everything upside down—The Volturi? The Quileute Elders? Or maybe the source is much closer to home than everyone thinks.

Some things even Alice can't predict.

If Rosalie's ultimate goal was always to be reunited with Emmett, she would have to be a complete moron to wish that Edward had never been born. Rosalie has always known that Carlisle changed her based on his desire for Edward to have a mate and she only met Emmett because she brought him to Carlisle to be changed. So... no Edward = no vampire Rosalie = no chance of ever meeting Emmett.

Author's Response:

I agree with you, but Rosalie's train of thought was always a little skewed. She wanted to punish Carlisle by removing his favorite companion, the golden boy, but she did not think about the consequences. Also, she thought that by removing Edward, Carlisle wouldn't have changed her and she would have had a chance at a normal life. What she failed to take into consideration was that her human life would have ended anyway, but again, her judgement was a little skewed at that point.

So this is her payment, her punishment. The fact that she was granted one more chance is something that she does not take lightly, not anymore.

Thank you for reviewing,
Alley Cat.

The plot thickens.  I love the twists that have shown up in the last two chapters.  I can't wait for your next one.

I am dying to know what has happened to them and what Fay meant by Edward not feeling anymore pain.  I absolutely love your writing.  It always leaves me wanting more.
