That kind of instant gratification has him acting as a petulant child that was reprimanded for taking something that didn't belong to him.
Let's see how convincing Bella can be behind closed doors! Will Edward's intoxicated state cause his filter to be non-existent?

No, there won't be any outtakes or sequels. I'm both thrilled and sorry it's finally finished, but I've got two new stories in the works, and I'm glad to (hopefully) have a little more time to work on them.
Others have asked about the desk. As Charlie left no other family, all his and Bella's possessions went to the Cullens, his wife's family. The desk would've been included in that.

Charlie is the mate if a vampire himself, so oh, yeah, he knows just what that means. I think the threat of a flamethrower was more of him trying to set down some type of rules, he is still the father of a teenage girl. It's not like he could catch Edward. I love Charlie, but I've put him in a bit of a difficult spot. As the mate of a vampire himself, he knows it's not a platonic relationship. While no father relishes the idea of their daughter in a physical relationship with a boy, Charlie knows what it's like to have the person who's vowed to love you always to change their mind and walk away from you. He knows that as the mate of a vampire, Bella will never know what that's like. (This doesn't coun't. This isn't Edward deciding to leave Bella, this is just him being an overwhelmed seventeen year old boy who needs a little time. There's a difference, I think.) And of course, with Bella as Edward's mate, Charlie would never lose her again. With all that, he will pretty much be forced to turn a blind eye to some things that with any other boy, would have him reaching for his service revolver and chasing the boy down the street.
You're very right. Edward is a messed up seventeen year old boy, and we all need to remember that. Sometimes I think readers expect too much of Edward. He's just had to hear dozens of people die knowing that while he *could* save them, he can't. Nothing is more important that keeping the secret, and if he had saved anyone else, they'd have talked. On top of that, his worst fear has just been realized--Bella knows. I know he outed himself by the way he saved her, but I think that as soon as he acted, he turned himself over to his instincts--that instinct being to be protect his mate at all costs. Had he still been thinking logically, he'd have knocked in the door to the suite and taken her down the emergency stairs. There was still time for that. The smoke had just reached their hall.

There are more emotions to come! I keep to canon as far as what the typical vampire remembers of their human life but that circumstances at the time of their change can affect what is or isn't remembered or how clearly it's remembered.
We will learn the basics about Edward's ordeal, but not in great detail.

I like the subtle use of phrases Bella would use on 1918 Edward. Edward'mind has not lost any memories persae, but froze the traumatic moments of his high grade fever. I'm curious as to how Bella will help him unlock his minds devotion to her. How long before their hearts recognize each other.
Trying to unravel how both Charlie and Bella will disappear when their burning changes take place.
Will Edward meet his cousins?
If Charlie can block Edward, will Bella also be able to?

His heart already has recognized her. Edward subconsciously recognized Charlie from the picture Bella sent him of the two of them together the moment he saw him, and he recognized Bella from the picture itself when he saw it in Tanya's mind. He just doesn't understand it becaue he knows he's never met them. That's were the deja vouz is comeing from.
As for Bella and Edward's cousins.... You'll just have to wait and see!

I don't really go into Charlie and Tanya's relationship at all, but I'm sure they would have. I just don't include it. I had to limit myself on how much to include, or else I'd still be typing this, and my fingers would be ready to fall off.
In Edward's mind, I think the idea that anyone would willfully chose to become a vampire is too impossible to consider. There are those, like the receptionist in Voltura in canon, who know about their world and want in, but he can't understand them. And his Bella, in his very biased opinion, is to pure to sully by condemning her to his existence.

I like the I.V. idea if changing Charlie and Bella. Maybe they can decide to be changed at the same time? I guess Tanya and Edward can mark their mates after the change. Hehe.
Bella is still putting the clues together; is her subconscious mind filling in the missing pieces? Is that why she thought deceased Edward if 1918 is her angel, like the whispered voice and the bear incident?
Did Charlie recognize the look in Edwards eyes as he protectively hovered over Bella?

I'm glad people felt it was a realistic scene.
Gotta love loopholes when they work in your favor, right? Not that I think for one second that Edward would've let the treaty stand in his way if Bella's life was on the line, but I loved that he was able to turn that technicality around on the pack. What's the saying? Necessity is the mother of invention. I guess it's the mother of creative thinking too.
Bella is definitely putting clues together. At times like right now due to her injury and once in another chapter when she's waking up, when her mind is not fully conscious and limited by "reality," her two Edwards merge into one in her mind. It won't be long before she learns the truth, it's only a few chapters away now.

Has Alice seen any of Bella's progress in accepting the Cullen 'family' for what they really are?

No, I don't think he has any clue. Any slip ups Bella has made so far are too ambiguous, I think. Plus, I think he is so genuinely repulsed by himself that the idea that she could know and still love him isn't something he can believe.
Right now, Bella is just too geniunely happy to have her Edward back that she simply, truly doesn't care that he's a vampire. I picture her as being content to keep his secret. She is fiercely protective of him, which will play heavily in the remaining chapters.
At first, Alice didn't see anything because she doesn't see human's well and never having met the Masens, she didn't see their decisions to find a picture of Edward or sending it to Bella. She didn't see Bella's decision to look up the Quileute website Jacob gave her the address of because Bella never even considered confronting Edward or any of them with what she would learn. Bella's decision didn't impact any of the Cullens, so Alice never saw it. HOWEVER, in this chapter, Bella did consider--however briefly--calling Tanya and asking her point blank about whether they could eat food. That, Alice saw. But like Tanya, Alice knows it's not her place to say anything to Edward. No matter how well intentioned or how much they love Edward, Bella's and his relationship and what they chose to tell each other or when is none of their business. They support but don't interfere. That's my feeling about it. But this part of the story is very short. Circumstances will arise very soon which will force Edwards hand, but don't worry, it's not yet another near escape from being crushed by a car.

Even strangers smile at the lengths Edward is going through in order to see his girl for Christmas. He must be ding something right.

Glad that Bella is a level headed girl and knows how to get what she wants. Spending the night with her guy. Way to play the messed up situation to your advantage Bella.
The heavy talk seems to get to Edward faster than Bella, or maybe she just covers it up better. If Edward sees Bella in his future there is no way she has not done the same. Just not getting her hopes up.
