That was a wonderful chapter. Yeah, the cliffy wasn't nice, but this was very well written. Jim is James Denali and he has to get back at the Cullens for being disowned. As soon as he sees pictures of the family at dinner, he will know exactly where Bella is. Try not to keep us waiting too long.

I am VERY angry with Edward, but he does tend to let his temper rule him. I believe punishment should be individualized to the person and the crime. With my children, I have to use different types of punishment because different things make an impact with them. Edward should really get his EGO and tempter in check. He already knows how insecure and unworthy Bella feels, and this will not be overcome in a few short months. She felt rejected her whole life. What caused Bella to run downstairs crying from her 'nightmare' was losing Alice and Edward's hatred and rejection. She's already punishing herself for not coming clean sooner. What if the situation was between Jasper and Edward? Wouldn't they feel the same loyalty to each other that Alice and Bella do. I agree that Bella was wrong and the group punishment is perfect. Bella had a lesser part and was the one to finally do what was right. Her punishment (if this is all she get's?) of his hurt, anger, rejection... devastated her. It is her worst fear. This caused much more pain for her (much, much more) than Alice's punishment would to her. It makes me wonder how much she is set back emotionally and the need to build her fragile self-esteem again.
O.K. I think I'm finished venting. This was a very well thought out and put together chapter. I will have to say this is my favorite story.

This is a excellent story! I can't believe that I'm just now finding it. I'm glad that it was rec'd. In my family if someone is going to be somewhere that's not routine, they always tell someone where they will be. My in-laws that are in their 80's still do this. I've always believed this to be courteous and a great added piece of safety. They can be located easier in case of a family emergency, and if someone doesn't show up when they are suppose to we know where to begin looking. I can remember only once several years ago this was used. State troopers were able to locate a spouse when someone went into labor.
Bella should know better with her experience!

“You…” Edward didn’t get to finish his statement because I continued to explain.
“On the way back, Sally was upset and we were talking and the phone kept ringing and interrupting us, so I turned it off.” He sat there with his head down running his hand through his hair for what seemed like forever before his eyes finally met mine again and he released a long sigh.

This chapter did NOT make me mad. I'm sure it was just as hard on Edward as it was for Bella. Consistancy and follow through with punishment is very important to children, as well as adults, to have the least amount of confusion. This also helps create trust and one's security and certainty of their importance.

I want to start by saying that I really like this story. Bella is right. Who is taking care of her? She did what she set out to do; but she is completely destroyed. I believe that no one knows what to do or where to start. With Carlisle videoing everything, Edward has to be aware of at least some of the horror she went through. I'm sure we're suppose to be feeling some rage for Bella at this point. I can't wait to see how you have everyone help her deal with her reality.
The competition is fierce. Dreams are at stake and a budding romance between All-Star, Edward and contestant, Bella are the talk to of the competition. Not to mention jealousy and bitterness from fellow contestants. Will Bella's dream become a reality or will her dreams be dashed before she even gets a chance to compete? Will Edward open his heart to the sweet brunette who captured his attention at the auditions?

I love this story, but why did you have to do that to Bella? She worked hard only to lose everything (as far as she is concerned). Renee probably doesn't care that she is going to prison, just that she stopped Bella from dancing. She could have just caused the accident and killed a man. Just not ended in Bella's injuries being so drastic. That would have upset Renee. I know that this gives a big hurdle for Bella and Edward to overcome, but DANG.
