It is great to see Bella stand up for herself and put Edward in his place. Sometimes you need to show the ones you love that you are not a door mat and you have to stand up for yourself.
I think Edward has grown also. He needed for her to to show him how strong and powerful she is becoming. Put him in his place. It is very humbling and he needed that.
Can't wait to see how she handles the party. Hopefully she will shine. Confident!

Edward's hand squeezed her tightly as he pulled her towards the customer service department. The crowd was heavy with people and her heart pounded in her chest painfully. She pulled her hand away and started to push through the crowd, heading back towards where she last saw her son.
"Bella, wait!" Edward called, but she was too far gone in panic to listen.
She stopped for a minute and tried to think clearly. What would Jack most want to see in this store?
Immediately thinking of the answer, Bella tore off towards the escalators.

Parachute ~ Chapter 36 Teaser:
Bella stood, drenched head to toe, in the middle of her front lawn. Hot tears streamed down her face as the chilly rain pelted her skin. Her mouth was open slightly in shock, as she gazed down with wide eyes at the man she loved more than life itself. Edward's hopeful, joyous face grinned up at her from his stance on one knee. The ring held in his hand was a single brilliant diamond that was simple, yet elegant.
"Isabella Swan, I have been captivated by you since the moment I first laid eyes on you. That love only grew and expanded as I got to know you and saw first hand what a wonderful mother you are to our son. Forever could never be long enough for me, to feel like I've had long enough with you. Marry me?"
She covered her mouth and let out a sob, before throwing her arms around him and shouting, "Yes!"
They fell together, a mass a limbs and lips, their hearts beating both beating wildly. He pulled away slightly and pushed a lock of rain-saturated hair from her face.
"Let's go inside, please. I don't want you to catch a cold."
When they stood, his eyes were drawn to her white shirt, now completely plastered against her bare breasts, her nipples hard and straining against the fabric. His hand reached out to brush against her breast, causing her to become self conscious and cross her arms across her chest. She laughed lightly and nodded her head towards the house.
"Come on, let's get dry."
Edward let out a loud guffaw. "I'd rather keep you wet, love."
His hands wrapped around her waist and he pulled her back to his chest as they tumbled into the house. Sopping wet clothes soon littered the foyer floor and hands roamed greedily.
"Where is our bedroom?" he asked huskily, sweeping her into his arms.

I won't ever be remembered for my common sense. I know most of you hate me and I'm fine with that. I deserve it. I was a bad, bad girl. For those of you who don't know my story, I'll start at the beginning.
My mother married my father for his money and power. When she'd finally had enough, she left and took half of his net worth, including me. He never seemed to mind. He sent an obscenely large support check once a month, but it always felt like a buy-off. Once he re-married and began a family with his new wife, our interactions were even fewer. Who knows how I would have turned out if he had made more of an effort? He's just as much to blame for my upbringing as my mother is. He knew how she was, yet he still didn't lift a finger to keep me.

"You're grounded until you're thirty," she murmured against his hair.
"Understood," he chuckled softly.
"I'm serious," she yawned. "Wait until your father gets home."
Jack gulped audibly and nodded. "I know."
Soon, Bella's breathing evened out and soft snores filled the air. Jack's heart clenched and he truly felt horrible for lashing out at his mother. He had no idea what made him say the things he had. She had never been anything but good to him and proved her love over and over again. The phone chirped next to him and he answered it quickly, not wanting to wake her up just yet.
"Hello?" he asked softly.
"JACKSON CHARLES CULLEN! What is wrong with you, boy? Why would say something like that to your mother?" his father's voice boomed from the phone's speaker.
"Shh, Dad, please quiet down," he replied in a hushed voice.
"Quiet down?" Edward yelled. "Are you seriously telling me to be quiet? Boy, have you lost your mind?"
"No, Dad, please," Jack whispered, "Mom is sleeping next to me."
Bella is coming from a bad marriage, and memories that haunt her. After recieving her Master's degree in Psychology, she begins to embrace her submissive nature. “I think you are wrong …“ Edward raised his eyebrows in disbelief, but I went on to explain before he could interrupt my train of thought. “ …about us needing to go to the club more often just to let people see us. I think we should go as you have already planned but not any extra times just to appease your adoring public.” Edward got that perplexed look on his face again.
“Think about it. All anyone really knows is that I showed up one night with Aro’s card. You yourself were kind of intrigued about how I knew him.” Edward nodded
“Your right I was, Aro doesn’t give them out.” I went on with my theory, while Edward’s hands moved down to rub my bottom.
“Then the next thing anyone knows is that sometime within the next week, you and I got together and then when they see us I’m sporting your collar around my neck. Now in order to justify why that happened they come up with all sorts of circumstances that would explain it. Which is alright but then like an arrogant child who is looking for attention from their daddy, they start spouting it to others, knowing it’s going to get back to you”
“Is that the psychologist talking? Because let me get this straight. They…” he pointed to my computer “… are the arrogant child and I am the daddy, and they are doing this to get a rise out of me?” I nodded.

When I got back to Bella she was half awake thanks to Seth’s persistence, I sat on the edge of the couch looking down at her.
“Hey” my fingers ran along the line of her jaw.
“Hi. Do I smell food” I smiled at her
“You do. Are you hungry?”
“Starving” she admitted while she sat up “It’s weird because I ate lunch”
“Yeah well that was four hours ago and your body worked really hard on the way home” her lip went between her teeth while her face flushed pink. I chuckled at her response “What are you thinking?”
“I’m thinking about my reward. I get a reward.” Bella’s whole face lit up and her eyes sparkled.
“That you do, what would you like?” I asked tucking a lock of hair behind her ear

“You did your father’s wash?” that sounded like something a kid shouldn’t do.
“Yeah…since I was ten or eleven.” there must have been some kind of bewilderment on my face because she justified herself. “I told you this. Charlie worked all kinds of weird hours; mostly he would sleep during the day and …”
Breaking in to her train of thought I made the assumption “You did all the chores”
She shrugged “Someone had too”
I truly couldn’t imagine any ten year old taking it upon themselves to be responsible for keeping a house. I suppose that would be another reason why at the tender age of eighteen Bella thought herself ready for marriage. It seems so clear to me that she had hopes and dreams for a regular life, college, career and all the other things that eighteen year olds dream about. However in her advanced maturity she pushed her own happiness aside and took on the responsibility of trying to please someone else. I had thought Bella to be a natural submissive and it would seem like she was.
The mistake she made was in her choice of partners. I have no doubt that had he not been abusive she would have been a perfect wife. Bella did everything within her power to see to his happiness even to the point of losing her own.

Leaving out a long sigh I focused really hard on opening the twist tie that held the bread wrapper closed. Edward moved with me and as he passed by to get the wine out of the cooler his hand ran down the length of my arm. The extra sensation from his touch made my muscles clench tighter and I think I let out a whimper because Rose glanced at me with a smirked.
Bastard!
I needed something else to occupy my mind and it didn’t matter what it was “Jasper” I looked up from the two loaves of bread “could you turn on some music?”
“Sure…anything in particular?” he asked moving to a panel in the wall. Before I could answer Emmett made an observation.
“You alright little Bella, you seem a kind of jumpy tonight” Edward’s voice came from behind me.
“Isabella’s been jumpy all weekend”
“I have not!” the words left my mouth without any thought of the repercussions they might cause. Emmett chuckled and a small giggle came from Rose who was standing next to me, but my eyes went to Edward. His face became stone cold hardness while his eyes widened as they turned dark.

Edward took the lid off his coffee while I took a bite of the danish moaning as the sweet gooey goodness melted in my mouth. The mixture of berries was a perfect balance between sweet and tangy with a thin layer of warm yummy cheese and sweet drizzle.
“MMMmmmmnnnn” I think my eyes rolled to the back of my head. When I opened my eyes Edward was looking at me licking his bottom lip. “What?”
He kind of shook his head as if trying to come out of a daze before taking a drink of coffee. “Last night was good?”
“Uh huh…” I nodded as I swallowed “…last night was great. I was a little worried when I saw the leash”
Edward cleared his throat “Well you shouldn’t have been looking, your eyes are to remain down not searching the room.”
I sighed “I know but when you put it down on the table all I could think about was when you were going to put it on me.” He looked…stunned, so I figured it would be a good idea to explain. “ Not that I wanted to walk around in public and I will admit it panicked me a little but it kind of excited me too.” taking a drink of coffee I asked the question I really wanted to know.

the chapter was fluff and family time and yes they only have one more day of vacation which should be two chapters worth, then they go home to face what has been happning, they meet with Mr weiss (the PI) the weekend playtime and the 25th Anniversay at the club...oh and Uncle Marcus and Aunt Didyme arrive --- that should be interesting....
Bella transfers to the University of Washington her junior year. The incredibly beautiful guy with the coppery-bronze hair is such a jerk when their lives first collide, but they can't ignore the fact that they are drawn to each other. However...Bella has a boyfriend back home and Edward is adamantly unavailable; a horrible experience in his past has made him reluctant to form any attachments or new friendships. Thank you for letting me know the update problem. Actually I am doing my dissertation right now so most days I get so lost in data sheets and MRI scans that by the time I update more than 24-hours have passed. That coupled with the 10-hour gap my country has with the US is a major problem. But I'll try to do better. :)

Bella Swan was dreading going back to her ten year high school reunion, over Valentine’s Day Weekend, for Hillsborough High School. Her time in high school in Tampa, Florida was not high on her list of pleasant experiences. She was quiet, unassuming and secretly in love with Edward Cullen.
