I am really glad you decided to push through and read to the end. I know it was a let down to most people when they realized Edward wasn't Bella's lawyer, but he has such a special place in this story that it just wasn't possible to interchange the characters. It had to be Carlisle. There really was no other choice.
And, I'm so sorry to hear about the cancer. I can't begin to imagine how hard that is for you. Keep your head up and have faith and I'll be praying for you too, hun.
