Summary: Past Featured Story

i remain

After unexpectedly being given an antique desk and finding a letter written by Edward to his cousin over nine decades earlier in a hidden compartment, Bella, on a whim, decides to respond and starts them on a journey neither could have ever imagined.

Perhaps there are some things we aren't meant to understand, just accept....

This story will eventually contain character death.

I'm not normally a vampire fic reader.  I think I prefer the twists and turns that an AH story can take....and then I read yours.  The plot is ingenious...a play on one of my favorite movies, 'Frequency', or 'The Lake House' but with your own twist.  I love it!

I also nearly cheered when I read your reasoning for Edward's memory loss.  You are dead on...he would have been delerious with fever and morphine at the time of his change...completely unaware of what was going on or his life before.  Brilliant!!

Saturdays hold new meaning and i can't wait for more!!

Author's Response:

I don't think I've ever seen "Frequency."  I've always though Edward's illness would've been more likely to cause memory loss than Alice's instituionalization.  Fevers hit 105 or even higher, and they had very little knowledge of proper dosages.  I'd have understood if she lost those years, but to lose everything?  If she lost everything, how did she know her name was Alice?  Edward was able to know the basics of his human life through Carlisle.

Personally, I prefer vampire fics.  Not that AH can't be great, it can, but I consider it more original fiction than fanfiction.

I'm glad you like it!  Thanks for reviewing!
