I'm loving the set up - the peeks into the past, and the building and essence of their relationship. It's easy to see why they would be afraid to change the status quo, and their reactions to their fears are what I love seeing here. I also love the dialogue and easy transitions from scene to scene. It all feels v. organic and realistic.

Great scene with the consultation. I love that bella can be totally professional yet so compassionate at the same time. And seeing that her boss rewards her for that, encouraging her to be both at the right time.

SWAT stuff: It's good. I easily got the jest of the scene, enjoying the action and appreciating the suspense. The definitions were useful for clarification, context provided most of the meanings tho. I like that we get to see some of his job, some of hers. I'm wondering if Trevor was involved in the incident but from the bad-guy side?

Any of the vampires could be scary for Bella, but Tanya makes an impressive villain. I'm curious what she could do to Renee and Charlie. Emmett is love, Edward is liquid sex, and Alice is sweet, supportive and non-threatening. Great chapter.

Loving this story ;) Edward is so rough and tough but then so vulnerable. And bella is so vulnerable, but then so tough. I'm somewhat shocked bella would go along with this marry for nanny plan (in a similar situation...rose wouldn't, alice would) since she just demanded the g.friend/b.friend/exclusive status. But you make a good argument with the family situation and her apartment is about to become roommate-less. Can't wait to read more!

So much love for this book. Not my first time thru, and since I rarely ever re-read, that's a statement right there. These characters are so gritty and sometimes so silly I can't help but love them. The action scenes and reactions are great fun without being too vulgar with the violence. Love all the swearing (altho I rarely swear, but I did nic name my neighbor's yappy dog 'little fucker') and the NY vernacular - actually wish there were more r's dropped along the way in the text. Bella & Damion's silliness make me want to squeeze them too! Loved Aro and Jacob and Alice and Esme and OMG!Carlisle. Thank you for sharing your brilliance!!
