Not sure what you mean by Original Work - as in to publish or sell? or just here in your category of Original Stories on TWCS Library?
If you are thinking of making it into an original story to publish and sell, you'd inevitably have to take the story down from here as no publishers would pay for a story that is already up on a site for free. - At least that's what my beta was told when she tried to pitch her idea for a book contract based on her fan fiction (Converting her fan fiction plot to original characters). Who knows, I may be wrong, or perhaps it differs from publisher to publisher, but it doesn't hurt to find out.
Either way, I'd love to read your story here on TWCS or in a book - I'd def buy it. Good luck and I'm sure you'll do great!

Hey! Thanks so much for your reviews!
So to answer your question - 1st, Eric needed someone in Missipppi to care for Sookie during the day & house her. Alcide owes him big time & he is powerful enough so it was a pragmatic decison 1st and foremost. This is a part of Alcide working off his dad's debt.
But also yes - Eric is arrogant BUT..big but...we think he felt that Sookie would be too much of an emotional wreck to have to even worry about a sexual attraction between them.
Plus he knows Alcide - better than Sookie does that's for sure & not only does he knows that Alcide hates Vamps (as much as vamps look down on Were's & shifters) but he knows Alcide's predjudices down deep. He figured Alcide would look down on Sookie as a fangbanger (& his loss at that).
Also at this stage, Eric doesn't yet quite realize that her character, once it's revealed, will be appealing to most as people get to know her. He is arrogant enough to believe it is only him that sees something special in her.
So it's no test. It's a mixture of how he thinks best to protect Sookie considering he can't be there during the day & he is not close enough to her yet - to realize her full effect on people.
