I like the idea of their relationship going slow, much more realistic given the circumstances.
Bella, and you for that matter, are built much like myself. My wedding dress is a size 18, (got married in 1998), and after my second baby, I was a size 24/26. The largest I have ever been in my life! It doesn't help that I have a thyroid disease, and I like my sweet tea, lol, but I'm currently down to a size 18/20. Granted, size 18 is bigger now than it was back in the late nineties, but I'm trying to lose weight for me. Me.
I never do anything for myself, and it's high time I did.

You and I are very much alike, Louise. When i got married, I also wore an 18 dress (though I had to have altered big time because I lost a shit-ton of weight). The largest I ever was twenty and that was right before I made the decision to get divorced. I have thyroid disease, I love carbs, and cannot live without my pop. However, no matter what, we are beautiful despite our weight.
I wish you the best of luck if you do decide to lose weight and i'm positive you will be successful!

Such a wonderful chapter, hun! Loved it!
From the little boy to Victoria...Edward was right there to stop the harrassment, and he did so rather eloquently each time. And at the end of the "date", I love how he reiterates that he's her friend. The journals and pens were a very nice touch!
Loved the pics on your blog, too. So sad that Bella hasn't celebrated Christmas in so long, but hopefully, for a short time while she was in Edward's company at Butch McGuire's, she was able to. Like she said, it was the first Christmas in a long time. I hope we get a bit of the "date" in her POV. :D
Didn't like the uneasy feeling Edward had as he drove away. :( He better pay more attention to his gut in the future!

Oh my goodness! So much going on this chapter, where do I begin? ;)
From the top:
- I love that she used her journal and first entry was her list. Some do that for New Years, but hey, I like it anyway. She needed to write it when she was in that mindset.
- The green iPod Nano was an awesome gift from Angela. Bella's fave color? ;)
- The lost patient. Not gonna lie, I cried. Your writing brought out Edward's emotions and I was right along with him and Bella in that scene. Beautiful. Well done.
- Bella being honest and direct with him during lunch in the cafeteria. Thank you.
- Charlie - inexcusable. Thank God she had her journals with her and whatever else what mostly meant something to her in her messenger bag. He's going to be pissed when he gets the first hospital bill addressed to him. Don't know how Paul (isn't that the slumlord's name?) allow Charlie to change the locks? Paul knew she was going to move out and everything, right?
- Did she not go to the hospital because she didn't want to be embarrassed? I mean, there's always a room for staff to sleep in right?
- As for Edward saving her, oh my! It was like how I wish the tent scene in Eclipse really happened, LOL. He is so damn charming. Loved it, and the following morning... oh my! His words were just what she needed. My hubby's had to do that in the mirror with me before. Then they have breakfast and she talks about how Jake ruined her. Grr. Get him, Edward! ;) And she added one more thing to her list, tee hee. Loved it. Totally swoonworthy moment between them.
- And then shopping! I love how he kept on encouraging her and bought her a dress to take her out NYE!! Of course his family pitched in with the furniture. ;) It wouldn't surprise me if Esme does her room at Angela's as well. Just because they're nice like that. :)
- *gasp* He spent the night cuddled with her, AGAIN, and this time had no excuse about hypothermia. Hmmm... ;) And she didn't even mention it in her journal? She must've been really okay with it. I mean the first time, she wasn't. She didn't want to get back in bed after she tinkled. But the last line of her entry is so very important. She needs to say as her mantra every time they're together.
Great chapter, hun! Hope you don't mind the long review, but with such a long chapter, I couldn't help it. ;)

I loved this chapter! Possibly the best yet of this story. I say that with all sincerity I have, as I love being able to feel what the character is feeling, and this chapter did that. I love reading stories that are so well written, that I can imagine myself as the character and therefore feel what's going on. Yes, Bella did go thru quite the gamut of emotions this chapter, but I wouldn't have it any other way. As anyone who knows what she's going through, she's finding her way thanks to her friends, boyfriend, and therapist. I'm looking forward to the day when she looks herself in the mirror and says, "I'm beautiful."
