For anyone wondering where I've been, RL's made a valaint attempt to end me, but I'm just too damn mean to give in.  I've got a few surgeries under my belt, my child almost died, my father was diagnosed with two forms of cancer and we had to relocate to another part of the state - but no worries.  I've got this shit!!  I'm back for the new year, and this writer shall be rocking right along!

Who Am I? I am an Island Dweller who spends their time smelling sweet, salt air on the sands of South Carolina. I'm typically tapping a keyboard or there's a new supernatural fiction novel in my hand. If it involves a vampire, werewolf or demon I’m either reading it, watching it or writing about it – and I love them all! I belong to a LOTR writer's group, and while I like the books I love the movies, because it’s pretty dang hard to find fault with good-looking men sporting long hair and leather – especially when there’s weapons involved! Who floats my boat? Prince Nuada of Hellboy II will always top that list. I adore Haldir of Lórien, Glorfindel and Elrond, and I am enthralled with Vladimir Kulich of The 13th Warrior. He’s pure eye candy in man’s man form, and the true inspiration for the character of Eric Northman in the Southern Vampire Novels. I also adore Matt Goss, musician and twin brother to Luke, the actor who played Nuada. If I'm writing, he is probably serenading me through my speakers . . . and that makes me very, very happy! Have something to say to me? I love to hear from anyone, anytime, about just about anything!! And I genuinely appreciate each and every person who shares their time with my stories. Our opinions may not always agree, but I try very hard to answer every review I receive, and I take any and all writing/story comments sent to me seriously. I respect EVERY WRITER who has the courage to take pen to paper, or at least fingers to keyboard, write something down, then reaches down to grab their warm, metallic little balls and posts it. Whether it be worthy of the New York Times best sellers list, a Mary Sue Melodrama, stomach churning S&M, or fantasy romance so sickening you could drown in it, my hat's off to them ALL. So keep your chin up and keep it coming! WRITER'S RULE.

Round Circles (by Black Elk) Everything the Power of the Worlds does is done in a circle. The sky is round, and I have heard that the earth is round like a ball and so are the stars. The wind in its greatest power whirls. Birds make their nests in circles ... The sun comes forth and goes down again in a circle. Even the seasons form a great circle in their changing and always coming back again to where they were. The life of a man or a woman is a circle from childhood to childhood, and so it is in everything where power moves

Oh, this is off to an absolutely juicy, delicious start!  I love :)

Author's Response:

Hi and thank you for your review :)  It really was too sad to think of Nuada and Nuala lying in that dark, lonely chamber for the rest of time :D

Still loving this, and will be paitently waiting for you to continue!  You've created quite an interesting angle to allow Manning control over a trapped Nuada.  I'll be impatiently waiting to see how our beloved prince will have his revenge!  ~E~

Author's Response:

Thank you again :)  It seemed it would be an added insult for Nuada to find himself in such a situation and Manning, of course, would quickly come to realise that whatever control he had wasn't such a great thing after all (Nuada not being the sort to just give in and make things easy for anyone, nevermind a human and particularly one like the poor director.)  These few chapters are actually the second rewrite and I'm currently looking at yet another one!  Somehow, the tone is not quite what I want it to be but I think with a further rearrangement of events and a bit more discipline around the narrative points of view, I might get there.  Cheers and once again, thanks! :)
