Thank you so much for your review and I have absolutely no problem clearing up our dear old Edward. He is a halfling, or a half-blood. Basically he is just like Renesmee. He is half vampire, half human. He can eat human food, if he chooses, BUT he prefers blood. He like Bella's venom, especially after Bella has drank from him. He gets to drink from her and taste blood at the same time. When they drink from eachother it is meant to be extremely intimate. I took the idea from Anne Rice's fictional characters, always liking the intensity of that type of bond. So, its not that he can live off the venom, its just a sensual bond between them. Though he does get a little high from her venom, as does she with his blood.

Edward is an incubus in the fact that he is male. Though he may not be 100% vampire, that part of him i still very much dominant. We see that with his possessiveness of Bella. As an incubus he can compel others to do as he pleases, and this is how he has basically survived throughout the years. Bella cannot hear is thoughts because he can sheild them, unknowingly, from her. He basically has the same power that canon Bella had.
