When a patient goes missing, what's a vampiric doctor to do?  Consult the celebrated detective Sherlock Holmes of course.  Story is set in the 1890s, pre-Edward.

I can not even begin to explain how impressed I am with this story. I have read the majority of all Arthur Conan Doyle's stories so I would like to believe I am slightly familiar with how a Sherlock Holmes story is written. This is fantastic. You do such a wonderful job of writing Dr. Watson, I am completely floored. Not only is your writing style wonderful and your ability to recapture such a famous character brilliantly done. But the actual manner in which you are linking Carlisle with Sherlock is riveting. This case of a missing woman and Carlisle's reasoning to keep it discreet is so believable. I am so excited for you to continue on with this. The introduction of Mr. Holmes himself and his interaction with Carlisle is what I am most looking forward too.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for your review.  I love writing from Watson's POV - he's so much easier than trying to do Holmes!  He and Carlisle will be meeting each other soon.  I'll be posting the next chapter as quickly as I can.
