This is a Edward/Bella story, which is all human, with canon couples. The story, which is centered around a hospital, is not your typical medical based drama. It takes place in the operating room, where two people from two different sides of the surgical spectrum meet. There is not only romance and drama. There will be Angst and a crap load of humor too. Turning to Edward, I felt a magnetic pull. His eyes alone wrenching me forward. Stopping myself, a foot away from him, he lightly touched the bruises that adourned my jaw and kissed my forehead, I then closed the distance, latching my arms around him. Edward’s little sister Alice was also 13 and Bella’s best friend. 

While home from college for the summer, Edward spent time with his little sister and her best friend so their parents could all go out for dinner.

Over the next several years, Edward and Bella became good friends, until the summer she turned 16 when she transformed before his eyes.

AH, ExB, Mostly EPOV, sort of coming-of-age, hopefully a little poignant, with a splash of angst until Bella's at least seventeen.  Mature for language, eventual lemons and a very spunky Bella.
