Summary: Past Featured Story

A change in the past makes an early intervention necessary for the Cullens. This story is complete and I will upload one or two chapters each week.

Wonderful story, I was surprised to see it end here (Even after 59 chapters). Although I am disappointed that Renesmee was not a part of it.

The last few chapters have been really out of character for Bella. Especially the Bella you created in the earlier chapters. Using the excuse that she's 17 to excuse her behavior is really quite weak. I'm 18 (male) and consider myself to be quite mature. This is behavior better suited for an 8-year-old, and I would know because I've spent a lot of time around my much younger cousins.

I've noticed that a lot of the older writers seem to think that this is the usual behavior for teenagers, and perhaps it was for them growing up, but it isn't for me and it especially isn't for Bella.

Overall this has been a great story though.

Author's Response: It was not so much that she was 17, as that was what others think. It was more that she had spent so long being the responsible one, the one to blame for everything, that she's lashing out now that things are getting to her as she had never been allowed to before. She has been taken out of her comfort zone and is reacting more like Renee would than herself.

What the hell? The bite from the last chapter wasn't mentioned AT ALL here. She should be turning into a vamp, or he should have had to suck the venom out. Perhaps you should just remove the "he bit" from the last chapter, and the chapter note from this one.

Author's Response: He bit the pillow! I thought it was obvious. It does say "Then there was the damage to her pillow. How he had stopped himself from biting her he had no idea."

"Destiny is a name often given in retrospect to choices that had dramatic consequences."

— J.K. Rowling

In the process of returning to Forks, Washington, Edward came across a car whose passenger held a familiar, silent mind. Curious by the phenomenon, he followed them and inadvertently witnessed a horrific accident. Compelled by curiosity, Edward found himself immersed in the blood that he'd so desperately tried to shield himself from four years earlier. Overwhelmed by his vampire nature, he allowed the beast within free rein and savored the alluring liquid.

Consumed by the shame of drinking her blood, Edward brought the girl home to his father and hoped Carlisle would save her life, knowing deep in his heart that she was beyond modern medicine. After much deliberation, Edward accepted the inevitable and changed her himself, nearly killing her in the process. With the treaty in shambles and forgiveness hanging in the balance, could Edward forgive himself for imposing such a fate upon a dying girl? Could Bella forgive a vampire who whisked her away from her family and her friends?

Why couldn't you have paired Bella with a more likable wolf? Why the complete asshole and excuse for a being that is Jacob Black? Seth and Leah (and maybe Quil and Embry) are the only wolves that I can stand. Seth would have been a great match. Obviously there's a 4 (maybe 5) year age difference between Bella and Seth, but there's a 90 year age difference between Bella and Edward.

Overall, good story but a Wolf and a Vampire can not imprint/mate with the same person, as vampire mating indicates that the 2 are soul mates, I'm not sure about imprinting as it is not a mutual connection. One can not have 2 soul mates.

Hey, this first chapter says (and seems to be) that it is a sequel my "My Laird", but after this chapter it becomes obvious that it isn't. Figured you just mistakenly posted the first chapter of "My Laird's Bairn".

Author's Response:

No idea what happened. The first chapter of Reckless Bella is back in place x x

I'm not sure if this is what you think Bella should have done, but it's horrible. Considering each of the Cullen's past and how they became a vampire, I really don't see Bella cutting her wrist to force the change as being all that welcomed. Furthermore, if Edward didn't want Bella (Like Bella thought) then he shouldn't be placed in a situation where he's forced to choose between life or death for Bella. All around, her actions in this story were incredibly stupid, but they were in every Book after Twilight as well.

Author's Response: This is in no way my vision of what Bella should have done. However after months of almost catatonic depression, rescuing Edward, and then believing he STILL didn't want her, I would have thought that it was a possibility. After all Bella seems to be a bit of a drama queen in a lot of the origional stories, and I would not have put it past her to either try and force the issue or even genuinely believe she (and he) would be better off if she was no longer around. Thanks for taking the time to let me know how you view the story and I hope you enjoy my others more.
