Damn I got older so it's time to update my profile.
I've published two original novels through TWCS Publishing House. Blind Faith was released in Oct 2010 and The Darkness of Perfection in June 2011. I'm working on the sequel to DOP and a new paranormal romance series.
I'm 47 and the mom of 3 beautiful girls and 1 'adopted' daughter. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 28 years. He has been permanently disabled for the last 15 of years. I know what the "fine print" means when you stand before God and your family and say "I do".
When I'm not reading or writing, I love sewing, quilting & gardening. My drug of choice is TX Aggie Southern Pecan coffee. Gig 'em! I collect antiques and anything with pink flamingos. I even have a Christmas tree just for all my pink flamingo ornaments. They are so tacky they remind you to laugh.
Bella is coming from a bad marriage, and memories that haunt her. After recieving her Master's degree in Psychology, she begins to embrace her submissive nature. “Yeah…since I was ten or eleven.” there must have been some kind of bewilderment on my face because she justified herself. “I told you this. Charlie worked all kinds of weird hours; mostly he would sleep during the day and …”
Breaking in to her train of thought I made the assumption “You did all the chores”
She shrugged “Someone had too”
I truly couldn’t imagine any ten year old taking it upon themselves to be responsible for keeping a house. I suppose that would be another reason why at the tender age of eighteen Bella thought herself ready for marriage. It seems so clear to me that she had hopes and dreams for a regular life, college, career and all the other things that eighteen year olds dream about. However in her advanced maturity she pushed her own happiness aside and took on the responsibility of trying to please someone else. I had thought Bella to be a natural submissive and it would seem like she was.
The mistake she made was in her choice of partners. I have no doubt that had he not been abusive she would have been a perfect wife. Bella did everything within her power to see to his happiness even to the point of losing her own.

I laughed so hard over the ketsup over pate'. It reminded me of my mom's meatloaf growing up. Ketsup was the only way to eat it. She's a fabulous cook except for her meatloaf. I never could eat it.

“Hey” my thoughts had taken over my attention so much that Edward’s voice startled me causing me to flinch.
“I’m sorry babe…” he chuckled “…I didn’t mean to scare you” My eyes moved towards his they were warm and bright making me smile.
“It’s ok. Where have you been?” Edward sighed
“Ahhh…well while some of us get to lay around in the tub others leave the dog out, hang up their clothes and talk to irate fathers from Forks” the auditable gasp left my throat and I couldn’t mask the horror in my voice.
“You talked to Charlie?”
“Hmm...Yes I did” Edward sat down on the floor with his back against the wall of the tub pulling the cork out of a bottle of wine that I didn’t see he had.
“What did he want?”
As I sat up straight turning with my arm lying on the wall by his head, Edward handed me a glass before he started talking. “He was just concerned about you Bella and he wanted to make sure that after what happened you were safe.”
“And?” I knew there had to be more

Walking into the house all the cares that had been forgotten came crashing back as he told me that the locksmith would be there in about a half-hour. I used that time to tell him what I had learned about Heather.
“Do you think that could have been her on the video?” He asked me as we sat outback playing fetch with Seth and a tennis ball.
“It could have been. But how would she know where you lived. I mean really Edward if she knew where I was why go to the center?” He thought about that for a few seconds as he once again threw the ball into the grass.
“I’m going to call Mr. Weiss and let him check on it, I’m also going to see if he can check on your Officer Hawk.”
“My Officer Hawk?”
He smirked “Well he’s not mine besides he didn’t really care until he found out who you were, and I’m not taking any chances. I don’t know how it will work with him being a cop and all but…” I cut him off because I had gotten an ingenious idea.

“It’s just the food” I told him as he followed me to the door barking the whole time “Seth!” I admonished while shutting down the alarm and opening the door to a very stunned Irena.
“Since when do you have a dog Edward?”
I didn’t respond to her question instead sighing heavily “What can I do for you Irena?”
“You can invite me in” She said as if it should be obvious.
Hesitantly I moved to the side to allow her entrance locking the door but leaving the alarm off, I wasn’t taking any chances. She stood in my living room watching Seth as he sat by my feet.
“I never thought you to be a dog lover” The sweetness in her voice confused me because the last time we spoke it was anything but friendly. That was the day she and Caius attacked Bella for which I found their actions deplorable.
“Cut the crap Irena why are you here?” My tone was rude but she deserved it and I didn’t trust her.

I really want to know what Caius wants with Bella. Is he in financial trouble and thinks owning Bella will allow him access to her money? Is it a power thing if she has those supposed ties to Aro?

Edward was pulling into the parking lot that was across the street from the main entrance. He didn’t say anything else until he held my door open for me taking my hand and pulling me closer to him. “I am sorry about my behavior”
I smiled at him “You girl forgives you”
His face moved closer to mine as he spoke “My girl is more tolerant then I deserve”
“Never” as I said the word his lips brushed against mine, it was a sweet chaste kiss. When he pulled back his eyes held a tenderness in them as he palmed the side of my face.
“Remember your task and speak to no one other then family members”
“Yes Sir”
“Come let’s get this over with so we can get home” I nodded in agreement following behind him with my eyes down. As we approached the entrance Edward spoke with the guy at the door.
“Tyler, how is the night going?”
“Edward, actually it’s been busy, it’s game night”

Tyler chuckled as we moved into the club telling us to have fun, I wasn’t sure what game night was but it appeared I was about to find out.

“Are we going to talk about it?”
“About what?” she truly didn’t know what I meant, so I held up her arm. Bella’s face fell “Oh”
I kept staring at her while she sat back down in her seat, waiting for her to start talking. Whatever happened she didn’t want to tell me, but I wasn’t giving her a choice I wanted, no I needed to know. Finally she sighed and started talking.
“I don’t know what you want me to say Edward I handled it, ingeniously I thought, I let her know that I wasn’t going to take any of her shit while still obeying you. Did I do wrong? Were you mad at me?”
Was I mad at her?
I figured I would let her answer her own question “Did you get punished?”
Bella shook her head at my question so I asked another one “Were you rewarded?”
The sweetest smile and blush broke out over her face “Several times” she admitted, making me chuckle, but I needed her to know something.
My fingers laced with hers on top of the table while I explained “The fact of the matter is…” I looked in her eyes “…Bella you shouldn’t have to handle shit.”

Edward took the lid off his coffee while I took a bite of the danish moaning as the sweet gooey goodness melted in my mouth. The mixture of berries was a perfect balance between sweet and tangy with a thin layer of warm yummy cheese and sweet drizzle.
“MMMmmmmnnnn” I think my eyes rolled to the back of my head. When I opened my eyes Edward was looking at me licking his bottom lip. “What?”
He kind of shook his head as if trying to come out of a daze before taking a drink of coffee. “Last night was good?”
“Uh huh…” I nodded as I swallowed “…last night was great. I was a little worried when I saw the leash”
Edward cleared his throat “Well you shouldn’t have been looking, your eyes are to remain down not searching the room.”
I sighed “I know but when you put it down on the table all I could think about was when you were going to put it on me.” He looked…stunned, so I figured it would be a good idea to explain. “ Not that I wanted to walk around in public and I will admit it panicked me a little but it kind of excited me too.” taking a drink of coffee I asked the question I really wanted to know.

Beautiful as always! I had no doubts about Edward. He always has a reason for his actions whether we know them at the time or not. Thanks for letting us see into his head. I loved the playfulness in the kitchen. It shows so much about their relationship that Edward can relax and Bella feels confident and secure enough in Edward to swat his ass. I'm sure that's something she never would have done with James without getting beat in retaliation.
Can't wait for the next update. Thursdays take forever to come around again. :)

Noooo... she never would have done that, just as your Bella in The Perfect Wife was so fearful of doing anything wrong, that's how she would have been with james. the only differance is that in your story Edward ((even in the begining )) respected Bella, saw her as a possession and someone to make his life easier but yet I think he still respected her. James had no respect and was just abusive... But now when she is just Bella, she is free to express the playful side and I think it speaks volumes as to how much more confident she has become...ok that's enough rambling ...

Excusing myself I went into the kitchen to check in dinner, everything was done so after pulling the chicken out of the oven - to allow it to rest - I started putting the other stuff into serving bowls. The sound of the kitchen door swinging open made me turn to see who was there, and I smiled as Aro joined me.
“Isabella I don’t wish to disturb you, but may I speak with you for a minute?”
Not wanting to be rude I stopped what I was doing. “Yes Sir, do you need something?”
“No..no, please continue, I can talk while you work.” I asked him to give me a second while I took the Corn Pie out of the oven because I didn’t want him talking to my back. Once it was out I gave him my attention.
Eyeing the pie I had just removed he smiled at me warmly “It’s nice to see you so carefree around everyone. You seem much more confident and I must admit it does me good to see that. You are young and need to laugh more.”
I giggled “Emmett is easy to laugh with”
Aro agreed with me with a slight nod of his head “And Edward?”
“Edward is easy to laugh with too.”
“Good, it truly brings me joy to see you happy and carefree.”

Taking another drink of coffee I didn’t say anything, but that was twice now that something was not put on the calendar. The lunch with Jane yesterday- which I found out about accidentally - that was ultimately cancelled and now the waxing, I guess my submissive will have some explaining to do. But at the moment I thought of something else.
“If you are waxing have them remove the remaining patch of hair” Bella’s hand stopped mid-way to her mouth as she just stared at me and I wondered what had caused the reaction I was getting.
“W..Why? You said I could keep it”
Taking a drink of coffee I thought over my words to her on the subject “If I remember correctly I said you could keep it for the time-being but I would like it gone now”
“Can we talk about this?” her eyes stayed focused on the few pieces of bagel that were still on the paper towel. I didn’t understand what the problem was; we were talking about a tiny little patch of neatly trimmed hair.
“What’s the big deal?” I watched as she sat there quietly staring at the table chewing her bottom lip. “Bella?”
Devastation is the only word that came to my mind when she looked into my eyes “I know this is really stupid, but can I please keep it until next time?”

Holding the bag on my lap Bella stood in front of me biting her lip while eyeing the bag when I moved it closer to my body her neck strained in an attempt to see what was inside. This time I chuckled at her interest. “Well, you are nosey tonight”

My youngest daughter has been collecting rocks since she was old enough to pick them up. We even went to the Crater of Diamonds park in Arkansas for a vacation one year so she could dig for diamonds. She's 17 now and still bringing home rocks.
I loved Bella's comment to the couple in the restaurant. I hate self-righteous people.
I knew a blow up was coming with Leah. It's been building over time. She pushed Bella to get a life and now hates that she's got one and not the sad sister who's available at the drop of a hat to come running.

Rocks are my thing ever since I was little and Pet Rocks came out... I wanted one and my nana said "I'll give you a pet rock" and she went outside brought one in, painted purple and said "there you just saved three dollars" ..lol..I still have violet..she sits next to nana's picture on my buffet ....and i have rocks from all over the place in fact this summer my daughter went to Ireland on her honneymoon and the souvenir she brought me was a chip of rock off the "Braveheart" Castle...best present ever! ...

Leah went into the bathroom while Bella came around the corner into the kitchen. Our eyes met immediately as a warm smile engulfed her face. It was clear she had been crying and it took everything I had in me to remain in the chair and not run to comfort her. Sue looked up as she started putting food on the table then went over to hug Bella just as I wanted to. Bella nodded at whatever Sue was saying then left her go so she could say hello to her father.
“Hi daddy” Bella said wrapping her arms around him from the back before leaning down to kiss his cheek.

I spent the day 'junkin' with my mom & girls. I came home with more junk I have nowhere to put, sunburned and sweaty. I'm so glad today is Thurs so I could read this while I put my tired feet up and drink a cup of coffee.

As bad as I feel for Bella and everything she endured being married to James I almost feel worse for Charlie. There is nothing worse than finding out someone hurt your child and you were blind to it and helpless to stop it.
My girls were raised with a strong sense of self-worth and in a loving home free of any form of abuse, yet my oldest still found herself in an abusive relationship in college. She to this day won't tell me everything, but she changed enough that I noticed and got involved. It took finally threatening his parents with legal action to have him removed from the college before she got away from him.
She is now planning her wedding to a wonderful man who loves her and treats her with the utmost respect and care.
It just shows it can happen to anyone, no matter their background. I love how you show this with your story and wish the ratings went higher than a 10.

I guess with the server issues I missed the update notice. I have been literally DYING thinking something happened and you didn't update Thurs. How pathetic am I? Don't answer that, we both know. :)
The motel - at first I didn't understand until Edward explained maintenance. Then it made sense that she needed something to ground her and help her cope.
Jared - I'm thinking he's just a prick who is still kicking himself for letting Bella get away because of his own stupid behavior.
I loved Bella's reaction to his 'beamer' comment and just about busted a gut over her dog on a booty call.
I guess one advantage over missing the update is now I only have to wait 2 days for the next one. YEAH ME!!!

I think its wonderful that Edward is making the effort to learn the language, something else that connects them and shows Bella how much she means to him.
I wasn't clear, but who is paying the $600? Is James paying it out of his own money or getting it from Mom/Dad to send? Just curious why he'd show his mother or even bring it up unless they were helping him financially. My mind goes in all sorts of dark directions about the money.
Poor Charlie, he wants so much to be part of Bella's life but doesn't know how to get her to let him in. I hope she'll start making the effort and their relationship can grow.

1- he wanted a raise and used the payment to show why he needs it...2 - Maybe his mother is bugging him about marring Victoria and he said 'look i can't aford it" ...3- maybe Maggie is just nosey and looked at his bank statement then asked about it....I guess there could be lots of reasons ... which I'm not sure will ever come to light...lol... “Stay still Isabella” I told her placing my hand on her knee letting my fingers glide softly up the inside of her thigh. “You are to speak freely and tell me about this morning”
Bella’s brow furrowed, I thought that meant she was confused as to what I was talking about so I prompted “At breakfast, you gave Claire a bite of food, something happened, tell me about it”
“This one doesn’t know what you mean”
Bella was over thinking she needed to let go of her inhibitions and tell me what was at the root of her reaction. My fingers drifted over her outer lips while I tried to coax the answer from her “Picture it in your head, the fork coming out of Claire’s mouth…”
“She did what your girl said”
“Yes she did and what did that do to you?’ I asked while my fingers became more insistent in their movements.
Bella whimpered opening her knees a little wider “It made your girl want to tell her to do something else”
“What would my girl have her do?”
She answered without thinking “She don’t know”
That might have been an honest answer, it’s not like Bella has had any training in being the top, hell she was just learning the roll of the bottom. But I wanted to make sure so my question became more direct. “Would you have Claire do something to you?”

Everytime I read Bella's punishments or lessons from her pov I get angry with Edward. I understand his reasons behind it, but I still get huffy. Then I read the FULL thought process behind it from his pov and how it hurts him to do it and I want to cry for both of them.
Can they have some normal angst for a bit? Stalkers, psycho ex-husbands, jealous, hateful people at the club. You know - their normal life. lol!

Well, I'd say that was a lesson learned the hard way. It reminds me of when my daughter used to stomp out of a room when she got mad. No punishment or lecture made her stop until I got the bright idea of making her stand in a corner and stomp her feet until I told her to stop... She stomped her feet for 30 minutes (she was 10) before I let her. She's almost 26 now and has never stomped her feet again. She still remembers the lesson too.
No hating, but I'd love to know their text messages at the end. Can't wait til the next chapter!

Very emotional. I can see Bella's reaction-not taking it as seriously as she should in the beginning. It's what most of us would do, thinking 'nothing happened' so nothing will. I'd say the pictures scared her straight. We went thru something similar (not nearly as bad) with our oldest daughter when she was in college. She fell in with an abusive boyfriend who followed her all the way to Italy on spring break and was telling everyone they were getting married and he was taking her to Montana to live on a ranch. He faked a collapse in the airport in Germany delaying their flight back to the US to separate her from the group they were traveling with. She wouldn't listen to her father and I trying to get her to get the campus security involved or to get away from him. She kept insisting she could handle it. I finally had to look up his parent's phone number and threaten them to keep their son away from our daughter. Now I know where he got his crazy from - his mom was a loon, screaming and cussing at me that our daughter was the stalker. It was a frightening time knowing she was off at school and we couldn't protect her from shit that went on.
What amazed me the most about the whole ordeal is that like Bella, our daughter wasn't raised in an abusive home. Their dad never touched me, I never touched him, none of our girls were abused. Hell, we didn't even spank them growing up! They were raised to stand up to bullies and be confident, strong women. And yet 2 out of 3 of them at one point let an abusive bastard into their lives.
I think that's part of why I love your story so much. It's not the sex (not going to lie, but I do like those parts) but seeing Bella be a survivor that makes me love this so much.

Alice? I can understand making judgements based on the beliefs your parents pass on to you. It's hard to break out and form your own opinion when your very close to your parents (and she is spoiled) so she wouldn't rock the boat. However, I hope to God Bella didn't hear a single word of what she said!!! Understanding or not, that would cut her to the core since she thinks of Alice as a friend. I hope she can pull her over-inflated head and tiara out of her ass before she suffocates up there. Maybe she should put a little time in at the Center or have a "Come to Jesus" meeting of her heart before she destroys a wonderful friendship.

Holy crap! Lay back, have a drink or smoke and take a breath. That was a lot to take in for one chapter. Absolutely loved it!!! I made so many bathroom trips during work today so I could read the whole thing on my phone that people were concerned if I was sick...just a little overheated is all. lol!
I was willing to give Alice a small break for hormones, but this? She's a stuck up bitch! I can't remember though, how did she know Bella before? I hope you give her a true "come to Jesus" chapter to learn the error of her attitude.
I loved Emmett. Poor guy just wants to be Rose's protector. Well, he can come protect me any day. I'm glad he understood what Edward was saying.

I'm really nervous about Edward & Bella figuring out her repressed memory of James and some other creep double=teaming her. The only culprits are Mike or Cauis (in the story so far), but I don't see them being the one- they would have brought it up.
Is Dougie her babysitter? or Emmett? I think Dougie would be a fun date.
I really want to get to both families being together for Edward's birthday and see if Alice's "bitch" comes out and how Bella and/or family handle it. Who knows maybe Esme will set her daughter straight since Dydemi has pointed out her shortcomings with Jane over the years.
(I just finished rereading DitR from the first chapter. It took all month & I finished at lunch today)

IKR? It was crazy long, the chapters keep getting longer and I don't know why. But I don't think next chapter will be as long. It's a killer writing such monstrous chapters. It's exhausting.
